It is a slim book at only four issues and I have a feeling it will be included in a companion volume of AvX when the main title is released later this year.
That book isn't worth it at any price, in my humble opinion. You could read the last 2 pages of #4 at your local shop and get all you need to from it. Complete (almost) waste of time and paper.

But you're right, it will probably be included in another collection down the road.

    Hey, Captain Planet

Is that Spiderman book next to Kree/Skrull War the Mark Millar book? If so, how is it? I know Millar gets a lot of hate, but I like most of the books I've read from him.

Either that or its print run was tiny.

Sure, we all have some rare books that are OOP now, but the window for that book was especially tiny if I recall.
The price fluctuates quite a bit. I found my copy about 6 months ago for $30 on Amazon. Every so often someone will put it up for cheaper and everyone else also drops their prices. Just keep an eye on it. Just a few months ago it was going for $30 from a couple of sellers.

Best advice for getting a rare book is patience and frequent checking on the secondary market.

It is Millar's Marvel Knights run on Spider-Man. I liked it a lot. Its not as typical Millar. Not so many twists and big movie moments if I remember right but a really good read. I would have picked a different artist but the Dodson's style is better for Spider-Man than a lot of the other stuff they work on.

Well add another OOP Omnibus to the list.

Silver Age Thor Vol 1 is sold out on Amazon, B&N, TOW, Instock Trades, CGN etc...

I was going to order a few on Sunday from CGN for $45 each to flip in a few months but they had just sold out. Prices should start climbing on Ebay and Amazon marketplace.

SA Thor is still in stock at Bookdepository but for a lousy price.

Speaking of BD, their 10% off sale ends on Monday. I got 10 books during this sale, probably saved 20 bucks.

Definitely. Deals posted on this thread have been a huge help in shrinking my back log. Like they say, Takes a forum to build a collection. Or maybe that's to raise a child.

Although my ikea shelf probably can't stand too many more deals. I have to organize my collection primarily by weight distribution.

And I saw a copy at Half Price Books for $25. I passed because the cover was pretty chewed up.

Grrrrr. Better not be the American release format.

28 issues (7 of which we had just released in OHC) and 3 annuals? Hardly worth the wait.
    What a pile of CRAP!!!!!!!!!!

    28 mutherfreakin issues!!

Im sorry that is garbage. There is NO reason it couldn't have 30+ issues. It will likely have that stupid $125 coverprice, too.

Of course, here comes the apologists saying that when you consider the fact that it has 3 masterworks at $75 a piece its a good deal......

    Guess what?

    Ill still buy it...

Thats one nice collection, looks like you read those books too. What's Extremis and Old Man Logan like, had no idea they were available in OHC.

It was OOP for sometime until they reprinted for Captain America movie/release of 3rd Brubaker Omnibus. No omnibus has been reprinted twice so you're definitely gambling that they'll reprint for the 2nd movie/4th Omnibus release. Common sense says they should but who knows with marvel.

That was the famous Amazon glitch, cleared out all the stock. I bought mine for cover price at a comic shop here in NZ, after thinking Id never get it as it was so overpriced on ebay/amazon marketplace. Two days after I purchased a whole bunch turned up for $20 a pop in the marketplace. So you never know with OOP books, or in print books for that matter as we are seeing with the Death of Cap Omni suddenly being OOP.

LOL thats an excellent sorting system.

OOP books are a good idea, going OOP is a lot harder. The mere fact of posting that something seems to be going OOP makes it get picked up by people who read this thread and therefore less copies areavailable. Almost a self fulfilling prophecy.
