My big question is whether the subject of an abortion comes up for serious discussion. Not in a political way, of course. But most women in Buffy's circumstance would have to consider the idea. And I can't imagine that Joss, whose liberalism puts mine to shame, would be afraid to broach the topic. And yet, it's the third rail and not the sort of thing anyone rushes to do in pop culture. And while it's clear that Buffy is going to carry to term - wouldn't be much of a story if she goes to Planned Parenthood, unless it turns out the Komen Foundation is run by vampires - I really want to see an in-story reason she makes this choice.
