I remember reading Glory when it first launched and even though it was an obvious Wonder Woman rip-off I felt that there was room for a reinterpretation of the character in the form of Glory....and I love Deodato's art.

As the series progressed I felt like they had some solid concepts...like the parental lineage and relationships...but weren't really able to flesh them out and dropped the title.

I'm curious how this relaunch will go but I'm really torn on the artwork here. I feel like the proportions are off and Glory has almost a Troll Doll physique where the limbs are shorter than normal. If she came from an elven background maybe it wouldn't be so jarring but it's distracting me.

I with Liefeld would do his own "New 52" relaunch of his characters into a cohesive universe and REALLY be bold about it and offer online comics for free making the website a high traffic/advertisement generator to reap the profits. Someone really needs to shake-up the digitial model because DC and Marvel are too trepidatious.

I can't frickin wait for Glory. I love Ross Campbell's work. It looks completely different to anyone elses, the detail is astounding and he's a nice guy to boot. This whole glory launch has really opened up his work to me, and I'd highly advise anyone interested in his stuff to jump on his shadoweyes books, they are awesome and really different to your usual superhero fare. I personally haven't read anything by Joe before but going on what I've seen so far I'm really excited to finally get a look at his writing, both Glory and Hell Yeah are at the top of my list this year and I'm expecting them to be fantastic.

I love how passionate he sounds about superheroes.

And I agree that the superhero genre is an extremely broad one. I find myself asking every so often just how do you define superhero.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

You totally should man, he's still got about 9 copies of the 2nd printing up for sale on his site (link. It only cost me $15 including shipping and that was all the way out here to the uk. It has the 3 issues, the full thumbnails and director style notes to go with each page for the issue he originally planned to be number 4 but cancelled. It has a real indepth glossary and sketches and stuff, all in all a fantastic book, I couldn't be happier. I cannot wait to see the ogn reboot he has planned for MG, he has serious skills. Some of the designs and stuff he's came up with for MG gives me so much confidence for glory, with her demon heritage etc. its gonna be great.

Im very on the fence about Glory, while I loved Prophet and the Extreme relaunch seems to be great comics all around I just cant get over the very cartoony art and the Wonder Woman rehash. Will browse and decide next week at the store.
