Jenkins just can't catch a break with DC can he.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
Very interesting
At this point it's comical how often/quickly creative teams are getting canned or changed at DC...
any twitter posts or msgs from jenkins?
I want to know why he got canned. Since he wasn't going to be the sole plotter of the series til issue 7.
I will be adding this to my pull list again as Hurwitz has been rocking Penguin: Pain and Prejudice.
This book has officially been saved.
I dont care how well it was selling before, the writing was godawful and you know it.
Yeah, I'm so down for this. The only concern I have is that I usually like to get the TPBs of stories I like too, but if he's starting at 10 it might mean I have to buy a TPB with the Jenkins stuff in it. I'd...rather not get roped into that stuff. I kinda hope they make the first TDK TPB collect the first 9 issues so we can start fresh with the next. Obviously if they don't it's not the end of the world and it's unlikely they will, but it's what I'd prefer.
Yeah, last week they announced updated details for the New 52 trades, and the Dark Knight hardcover vol. 1 collects 1-9.

I wonder if this move is because TDK has been taking a pasting critically, but still selling well, whereas the Penguin mini has been the opposite. Either way, I very much approve.
Like I said under the "unofficial" thread for this--I'm sure it's going to be a good book, but...while it didn't make it "good," one of the more entertaining things about TDK was it's more mad-cap, anything-can-happen nature, which gave itself a way to stand out. I just hope that with the other stories going on, this won't get lost in the crowd and will just be "the other bat-book."
If only he took over Detective Comics. I feel like Paul Jenkins was fine enough as a writer (he's not Finch).
