Do you really think someone gives a damn about what WE really want anymore? They don't, all they want is our money desperately because their market as a whole is suffering the aftershocks of their poorly planned draconian system and the overall global crisis.

That's why they did Ultimatum and DoSM. They were certainly not thinking about us but more on the sales boost a scandal would bring.

Either way, it's just a theory. Unless we were scientifically speaking it isn't true (a scientific theory unlike a regular theory is supported by facts).

Gotta agree here, they really don't seem to be thinking of what it is that the fans want in all of this. I mean, for how well he's doing, were the Spider-Man fan really looking at Peter and thinking ' Yea he's good, but if only he was black'. Or pre-Ultimatum fans thinking 'Its good but if only about half these people were gone'. And the results really do show in the end. Miles is working out well, but let's face it, Post-Ultimatum was the all time low of the 3 eras of the UU.

I don't watch South Park, akin to Family Guy I find it a retarded show. Wouldn't have gotten the reference anyway.

So which Ultimate book are you most looking forward to every month?

I am really enjoying Ultimates right now. The character development from issues #5-6 have been more fun than the original Ultimates so far. I liked the presence of Hulk in the first series, but everything was happening too quickly. I like how Hickman is taking his time developing the cast and setting up awesome story lines like Baby Julius having superpowers, the war between the People and Children, the Kratos Club changing the world, etc.

Makes sense considering this is an actual ongoing series and the original was a miniseries. They should have done this from the start (do an ongoing but with a different artist like Olivier Coipel or Esad Ribic to avoid the long delays).

If we could get Jae Lee on Ultimate Comics: The Ultimates I would be so much more excited.



Right now UCTU is in the number two slot followed by UCXM. Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man has been the only book I can honestly say actually feels like it's going somewhere. We've had six issues of all the books and so far UCTU and UCXM just feel like their sitting around waiting for something to happen.

miles isnt going ANYWHERE! the teaser is supposed to make people speculate the RETURN of peter, not the end of miles. what if bendis doesnt even know what hes doing yet? what if hes just throwing out this teaser to see what the fanboys would think? i want peter back, alive and well, no clones, no time travel, no "alternate dimension or cartoon universe". fury and shield took his body, the oz formula kicked in, and peter comes back BETTER THAN EVER!

Meh, didn't like Jae Lee's art in Ultimate Fantastic Four Annual #1 (2005), it looked too lazy. We need someone like Olivier Coipel or even Joe Quesada (he's not Editor-in-Chief so he should have the time for it).

I agree with your statement of Spidey and Ultimates knowing where they're going. X-Men is stalling for now, look at how the next 4 issues play out: #7 is the epilogue to the first arc, #8 is a single issue story, and #9-10+ are technically the next story arc (a short one by the looks of it).

I think X-Men will be the book most affected by the conflict between the People and the Children, so until that climaxes they have to doodle around.

Oh, grow up. So what if he's dead in Ultimate? You still have the original one in Earth-616, you have the dumb movie starring him coming up, you have the silly cartoon and tie-in comic also coming up. Man, you're such a hog! You have Peter Parker in most media to turn to, let us have Miles in at least one book.
