Kinda excited for this whole "Spider-Men" thing. I'm surprised nobody else has said this, but since Miles was bitten by the #42 Spider isn't it logical to think there are at least 41 other genetically modified spiders out there in OsCorp. What if someone else gets bitten by one of them, or since the #42 wasn't killed what if it bites someone else?

Honestly you all know how I feel about the dead characters in the UU, so I really hope I get to see the original Peter Parker come back, but there are a couple of ways this could go.

And the spider that bit him survived too. It'll be interesting to see how this (if it happens) plays out.

Very true. The spider that bit Peter got killed by Kong's foot. So Spider #42 may have something to do with this event. In that case it would be similar to Spider-Island.

I just hope Peter stays dead. And that this is the event Pichelli is working on.

That too. So Peter can't come back, and neither can Wolverine or the others... it's permanent. I think that's why Hickman wrote that part in Fallout #2, to eliminate the possibility of the those characters coming back.

Unless his soul now lives inside Thor, since he became the new Valhalla... kind of reminds me of the Biblical Legion a bit.

It worries me that Peters symbol is part of the teaser, but what I hope is that the Scorpion Clone breaks free fom SHIELD, after having his suit removed, and thinks he's Peter Parker (no memories of his suit). Then battle for the mantle begins. I mean, if it HAS to have a Peter Parker, that is.

EDIT: Ah geez, CBR and Newsarama are saying that this is possibly a tie-in to ENDS OF THE EARTH or a crossover between Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man. Don't they have anyone smart working there?

I'm going to agree with time travel. Or maybe someone else getting bit by Spider 42. Maybe someone who is bad, a potential new nemesis. Maybe that, and time travel.

It's pretty definitely Ultimate related - NOT 616. Compare the image to the cover for #160:



It's the exact same emblem, with the same kind of background, even. Amazing Spider-Man's emblem is quite different.

If you ask me, making this the cover for #160 was deliberate as setup for this reveal. My big question is just what exactly it will mean. The obvious implication is that Peter Parker and Miles Morales will come face to face as Spider-Man. I think the concept of Time Travel (or alternate versions of the Ultimate Universe) do play into that quite well - but are a bit out there for the UU.

Paying off the Black Cat/Tablet story at last, however, would work. Whether or not that means we'll be seeing Peter Parker back for good, though...

I'm just glad we're only having to wait a few months to find out more though. If this were announced as an event for next year, I think I'd be going mad by then.

Why do you people think Peter Parker is getting resurrected? Bendis already said he aint coming back and that he has years of stories planned for Miles. This is part of the Miles story he had planned as an aftermath for Peter's death.

Peter isn't getting ressurected. He never died to begin with. Neither Norman. You must be too naive in comics to believe that Peter Parker wasn't coming back. Now the question is: will the old Ultimate Spider-Man fans care?

I'm caustiously optimistic.
