Anyone else a big fan of this series? I honestly think that if Marvel left it alone and didn't involve all of the HoM nonsense that ended it, it could have been great. Claremont's writing on this title and Uncanny at the time (well.. other than dino-Rachel *shudders*) was the last time it was good. It introduced a lot of new interesting characters, and the concept of rebuilding a mutant nation was actually really nice. It reads decrompressed compared to Nation X/Utopia, but it felt a lot more organic of a process and much more rewarding.

WOW Seems were ever I go Excalibur gets no love. No comments since the inception of this thread. Any one think there should be a reincarnation of this series?
The original went for 125 issues. After that I don't think there's been anyone with fresh ideas for the series any ideas on how to get this series back up?

Personally, I like to see Wolverine get kicked out of the Jean Grey School, Nightcrawler brought back in his place and re-launch Wolverine and the X-Men as the new Excalibur.
