Very excited for a book where Hughes does the interiors once again, instead of just covers. This and Conner's books have me very happy, from an art perspective.

Why isn't Hughes drawing the Silk Spectre book? I know she'll appear in Dr. Manhattan, but still, Spectre would seem to be a more likely match for him.

After so many years of drawing boobs and asses, it's only fair he should be drawing blue penis.

I wish we could have gotten Chip Zdarsky's take on Dr Manhattan. The progressive and inventive idea of not only showing Dr Manhattan's blue penis but also showing, fully exposed, his blue butt-hole, would really give this prequel the kick it needs to transcend the chains placed upon it by inevitable comparison's too the original.

Fair for him maybe. Not so much for me.

All kidding aside though, I always thought getting pigeon-holed as a pinup/good girl artist was sort of giving Hughes short shrift, as he was a fine overall illustrator and storyteller, back when he still drew actual comics.

I am most excited about this book of all the prequels.

Of course it won't...at least not with Hughes doing the art. This will be yet another on the long list of books announced every few years that Adam Hughes will be doing interiors on that never sees the light of day. I'm a big fan of Adam's art but I don't think we're going to see anything other than covers at this point. The amazing thing to me is everytime a book is announced he'll working on people react like it's going to happen.
