Also i looked at KJ's strat briefly, and would like to say that there is absolutely no way that the First can take over Doom. Doom who has resisted Purple Man's powers, High Evolutionary's machinery and can block Emma Frost's telepathy. The First feat of taking over Willow doesn't even come close in comparison. Also, I was going to have Doom Crimson Band himself at the beginning of the match great minds

Also Wouldn't Xavier be able to move because he has the Gem of Amara or is it attacks that get nullified.

Pretty much every attack in my strat was directed at Doom, because he was the only one who could harm us in this arena, so the First thing is minor.

That said, I'm the resident Doom-geek (it's me who has provided the scans to the 3 examples you just mentioned), and he's never resisted possession, hence doing it to him, because I know he has no counter-feats.

And they could all move, Gem of Amara or not, they just couldn't actually hurt us at all. Apart from Doom, who has some magic-based attacks. So it was a pretty shitty arena for you.

To be fair though what he has resisted (which were far greater in power) I don't see any reason whatsoever that the First would be able to take him over. Granted, it still would have been a gazillion to one.

Yeah, it's a shitty arena all around.

Got time to get a couple item profiles:

Chemical X - Which is more or less a brief summary of my PPG respect thread.
Dynamo - Cause Munch more or less asked me to.

You get better and don't worry about this any, until you are in better condition.

Since I didn't have a match this week I have had an idea.

    I Challenge KJS!

The challenge is a Buffyverse vs Percy Jacksonverse battle. We both get 60 points, to spend on items, and characters. You will be limited to characters and items from the Buffyverse, as well as ones from the Real world. I will get to use items and characters, from the Percy Jacksonverse, as well as those from the Kane Chronicles, (both series share a universe), and the real world. No telepathy is allowed in this tournament.

We can determine a time later if this is accepted.

    Arena:

    The 74th Hungergames

    Description:

The arena for the 74th Hunger Games begins with a large flat area with hard packed dirt that had the Cornucopia in the center of it, and like always the 24 tributes were set up in a ring around the Cornucopia, which was filled with weapons, food and camp supplies as well as some types of medicine. The arena contained forests, streams, meadows, pools, a wheat field, caves, and a lake. The arena was enormous, and it would take a tribute several days to walk from one end of the arena to the other. In addition, there were some Capitol-made muttations such as tracker jackers and horse sized wolfs. The forest was rigged with a lot of Gamemaker-made traps, such as a device that sent fireballs at the tributes.

    Starting Positions:

Both teams start two kilometers apart, with the Cornucopia in between them. We both starts in forested areas, with some streams, and the Cornucopia is in a clearing.

    NPCs:

The Tributes, which consist of 24 children, including Katniss Everdeen, some with some combat experience, and 15 horse sized wolfs all within three kilometres of the Cornucopia.

    I'll accept.

Although that does remind me I have a Buffyverse challenge with Holacik still pending...

Yeah that's what inspired this challenge. What time works for you for the match? Also for teams I figure we can just draft our teams and items and post them, since we are using seperate universes, and won't be able to select the same characters.

I have everyone's strats and I don't know if I'll have time to post everything in the morning, so I'm posting the matches now.

Gentle reminder to Sharkerbob to make his polls public. Forgot to do so in me vs Munch.

Out of all the arenas currently on the list, which one is the most difficult? Which one has the most unpleasant setting?
