    Default The Almighties

I spent much of last year working with a big creative team, putting together my major comic. There was a bunch of red tape to take care of before I could reveal what it is, but with that done, now I can...

You can get the First Look at the Avengers-parodying Almighties at My Blog http://samjohnson-comics.blogspot.com/ with plenty more to come!

    :) Sam

Here's an early sketch, work-in-progress-page, and finished piece of artwork from The Almighties #1--as we meet the first member of the team: 'our Ms. Marvel'--if Ms. Marvel was unhinged--Ms. F!

“What does the ‘F’ stand for? Well--to me it means ‘Ms. Free’ or ‘Ms. Fun’--but to the public, for my powers, it could stand for ‘Ms. Fabulous,’ although that might sound a little conceited >heh<.” Ms. F.

Bitten by a radioactive dust mite, downtrodden Canadian housewife Katie Graeme threw off the shackles of her oppressive husband and donned a mask and cape. Ms. F has issues and she’s gonna take them out on crime!

"Too cool for the nerds, too smart for the jocks, I didn't fit in anywhere. I had to rise above them; show them I was better than them all." Maxi-Tron.

Here're some work-in-progress and finished panels from The Almighties #1--as we meet the team's Field Leader: 'our Iron Man'--if Tony Stark's arrogance was dialled up to 11. Combining his super-smarts and physical skills, Max Mitchell built super-tech armor and became 'career super-hero' Maxi-Tron!

    Today's the Day.

"I laughed at some parts, giggled at others, guffawed in other places. It’s a light-hearted look at superheroes and the comics they fight their way through. If you want a smile on your face, this is the book for you!" Wayne Hall, SciFi Pulse.

"The first issue of The Almighties is a hoot! Creators Sam Johnson and Mike Gagnon have crafted a clever and farcical look at an off-the-wall, Avengers-style superhero team dedicated to the wellbeing of the U.S. of A., who encounter everything from President Obama to a Robo-Hitler before the first issue is through!" Bryant Dillon, Fanboy Comics.

While the Avengers continues to go down a storm at the box office, our Avengers-parodying The Almighties is also getting more great reviews!
