    Storm (Ororo Munroe): Retained her power to control the weather after M-Day, and her last romantic interest was when she was married King T’Challa, the Black Panther, prior to him using his authority as high priest of the Panther God to annul their marriage in A v X #9. She is currently a member of the X-Men, as well as the Avengers. She was last seen at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, as the school buried a time capsule. Last Appearance: Wolverine and the X-Men #29.

    Streetman (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Streetman had advanced hearing, and was last seen reporting what he eavesdropped in a conversation between Rick Mason and Nick Fury to the Kingpin. Last Appearance: Marvel Graphic Novel: The Agent #1.

    Stringer (??? Stringer): Deceased. Stringer was a telepathic mutant reporter and friend of Jamie Madrox who was murdered by Sheila Desoto. Last appearance: Madrox #5.

    Stringer, Amy: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Amy was a mutant with the ability to experience and manipulate the senses of others. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men Annual 2000.

    Stringfellow (???): Status after the Decimation unknown. This former member of X-Corporation had the power to touch people and make their limbs loose and stretchy. Last Appearance: X-Treme X-Men #35.

    Stripmine (???): Origin of powers unknown, may have been a mutant. Current status unknown. Stripmine was a man with the ability to command Asgardian Trolls who appeared in Genosha after Cassandra Nova’s attack, attempting to loot the island nation of its remaining resources. It is unknown if this ability was supernatural in origin, or if he had a mutant gene. Last Appearance: Excalibur (vol. 2) #8.

    Strobe (Juliana Worthing): Lost her powers after the Decimation. Strobe, a former member of the Mutant Liberation Front, had her power loss was confirmed when the energy signatures are listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol.1) #85.

    Strom, Dan: Current status after Decimation unknown. Dan is a mutant who has been treated by Beast on two occasions after accidentally injuring himself by tying a corset too tight to hide his bat-like wings so he could attend a public school and not Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, which his parents wanted to enroll him in. Dan has large, bat-like wings sprouting from his shoulders, which allows him to fly. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 1) #36.

    Strong Guy (Guido Carosella): Retained his power to physically absorb kinetic energy and re-channel it or use it to increase his body mass after the Decimation. Currently a member of X-Factor Investigations. Guido was last seen apparently becoming the Lord of Hell after murdering Tier to end the “Hell on Earth War“. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #256.

    Strong, Martin Henry: Current status after M-Day unknown. Strong’s mutant powers allow him to create a sympathetic symbiosis with any weak-minded sentient form it encounters. He spent a decade genetically engineering an advanced human body so he could attach himself in order to walk. That perfect body was destroyed in battle with X-Force. Strong was last seen symbiotically attached to the mutant Freddy. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) Annual #2.

    Stryfe (???): The clone of Cable, Stryfe’s physical body died at the end of “X-Cutioner’s Song”, and his mind lingered on inside of Cable until Cable (vol. 1) #8. His soul would battle X-Force, seeking to return to Earth in Warpath’s body in X-Force, and he would inexplicably be resurrected again in X-Man #45, only to die again. Yet again, he appeared to battle alongside Gambit and Bishop at one point, only to sacrifice himself to save Earth from La Bete Noir, and seemingly die a fourth time. However, he turned up alive in the year 2973 A.D., and was last seen being carried off by Apocalypse in that year, presumably to serve as his new host body. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #16.

    Stryker, Jason: Deceased. The son of Reverend William Stryker killed shortly after his birth when his father ignited the car his wife gave birth to him in, for being obviously born with features that could only mean he was a mutant. Last Appearance: Marvel Graphic Novel #5.

    Styglut (???): Deceased. Styglut was a mutant from Bishop’s alternate future timeline who could absorb life essences through physical contact and redirect it in energy blasts. He was killed by Bishop in combat. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #288.

    Stylles (???): Deceased. Stylles was a mutant from Bishop’s alternate future, and a member of the Lifers who was killed in combat by Bishop, Randall, and Malcolm before his powers were revealed. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #283.

    Sublime (John Sublime): Current status unknown. Believed Deceased. Sublime is not a mutant, but a sentient microorganism that when within living things, can influence their actions. Sublime was last seen inhabiting the body of Xorn during his rampage, having taken possession of the Magneto-pretender when he used the drug, Kick. He was inside Xorn when he was beheaded, and then was shown to be in possession of someone calling himself the Beast in the “Here Comes Tomorrow” storyline, an alternate future 150 years after modern day Marvel-616. However, he can inhabit host bodies whenever he chooses, making any chance of ever conclusively calling him "Deceased" a fallacy. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #154.

    Succubus (???): Deceased. Succubus had several advanced physical abilities, but was still shot and killed when battling Wolverine and X-Force (X-Statix). Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #120.

    Suede (Nicholas Blake): Current status after M Day unknown. Mutant with energy based powers, which also include flight. Member of the Europe based team Gemini, brother of the mutant Grip. Last Appearance: Gemini/Euroforce: Europa #4.

    Sugar Man (???): Retained his powers on M-Day. Sugar Man was originally from Earth-295, the Age of Apocalypse Earth, but would escape to Earth-616 though the M’Kraan Crystal. He has numerous powers, among them the ability to change body mass, possessing four arms and a razor-sharp tongue, as well as a healing factor, the limits of which have not been established. He was believed killed by Karima Shandipar and Callisto on Genosha in Excalibur (vol. 3) #10, when he had a pipe driven through his head, but somehow he survived. He was last seen being taken into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody by Captain America and Victoria Hand after he was defeated by the New Mutants. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #27.

    Summers, A.: Deceased. A. summers was mutant creative genius killed by Bushwacker under contract from the Marauders. Last Appearance: Daredevil (vol. 1) #248.

    Summers, Rachel: See entry for Phoenix III.

    Sumo (Jun Tenta): Deceased. Sumo was a member of the Mutant Liberation Front who was shot in the head and killed by Cable while trying to steal an ancient sword. Last Appearance: Cable: Blood and Metal #1.

    Sunder (Mark Hallett): Deceased. Formerly of the Morlocks. Sunder died by being shot by the Reaver, Pretty Boy, in an attack on Muir Island. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #255.

    Sunfire (Shiro Yoshida): Currently powered. Prior to M-Day, lost his powers to Rogue, who permanently absorbed them from Shiro at his request after he lost his legs in battle against Lady Deathstrike. After M-Day, Shiro would also lose his X-Gene. However, Apocalypse would make a deal with him to restore his body and powers but make him the new Famine in the “Blood of Apocalypse” storyline in Uncanny X-Men. After he rejected his patron, he would find another one in Mr. Sinister, joining his Marauders. Sunfire was last seen at the Akkaba Metropolis. Last Appearance: Uncanny Avengers #8.

    Sunpyre (Leyu Yoshida): Believed Deceased. The “Eve of Destruction” X-Man was stabbed to death by Mystique while working for Banshee’s X-Corps. However, someone believed to be Leyu appeared alongside the Japanese superhero team, the Big Hero Six, to battle Alpha Flight, inexplicably after her "death" by being pulled out of Honey Lemon's purse. Last Appearance: Death by Mystique’s knife in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #406, and mysterious resurrection out of Honey Lemon’s handbag in Alpha Flight (vol. 3) #9.

    Sunset Grace (Grace Levreaux): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Grace had the power to create an inter-dimensional fissure, and through them, there were pocket dimensions created based off of her imagination. Grace was last seen leaving the Earth, and stepping into one of her own dimensions, and has not returned since. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #35.

    Sunspot (Roberto DaCosta aka Reignfire aka Shadowskin aka Black Rook aka Lord Imperial): Kept his powers after M-Day. His current powers have been upgraded to allow him to not only absorb solar power, but also other kinds of heat and light and now, when channeling it, he can use various forms of heat or infrared radiation, as well as fly. His last romantic interest was when he was frequently hitting on his New Mutant teammate, Magma. He was last seen in Hong Kong, trying to find out the plans of A.I.M. with the Avengers. Last Appearance: Avengers (vol. 5) #11.

    Super Sabre (Martin Fletcher): Resurrected with the techno-organic virus. Super Sabre, who had the power of super-speed, would be decapitated and killed by Aminedi, the agent of Desert Sword in New Mutants Annual (vol. 1) #7. However, he turned up as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene in X-Force (vol. 3) #21. He was last seen attacking Colossus on Utopia, but it is unknown if he was present amongst those killed in Genosha when Selene completed her spell to ascend to godhood. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #22.

    Surge (Noriko “Nori” Ashida): Originally depicted as using drugs as a way to self-medicate and control her electricity powers, Nori was granted gauntlets by first Beast, then a later set by Forge to control them. She has retained her powers after M-Day, and recently ended her relationship with the depowered Prodigy, hoping he would leave the school and live somewhere in safety as an ordinary human. Surge was last seen at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, as the school buried a time capsule. Last Appearance: Wolverine and the X-Men #29.

    Surgeon (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. The Surgeon as an ally to the Toad with unspecified powers, and was hiding out with him in Canada at a safe house owned by Emma Frost. He was stated to be a mutant, and apparently had the ability or knowledge of how to alter mutant powers, having already given Toad the additional power to communicate with amphibians. Last Appearance: Generation X #19.

    Surrender Monkey (Brad Bentley): Claims to be a mutant, but revealed to be a human. Current status after M-Day unknown. Surrender Monkey claimed to have the power to know when it is the perfect time to surrender. Last Appearance: X-Statix #14.

    Susan ???: Current status unknown after the Decimation. Believed to have been depowered on M-Day. Susan was one of the students from Academy X taken out into Salem Center on Halloween to trick-or-treat by the staff. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 2) #1.

    Swaine, Dr. Brian: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Doctor Swaine was a mutant of amphibious (gills and green-hued skin) appearance who was last seen attending to the injuries of X-Force member El Guapo. Last Appearance: X-Statix #11.

    Sway (Suzanne Chan): Deceased. A chronal manipulator, Sway was one of Moira MacTaggart’s trainees sent to save the original X-Men from Krakoa. She was sliced in half by the island, and in her death throes, assisted Petra in saving Darwin and Vulcan. Last appearance: X-Men: Deadly Genesis #4.

    Swift, Arthur: Deceased. Status as a mutant not confirmed, only suspected. Swift was killed by a follower of John Sublime‘s philosophies who referred to himself as “the geek“, because he supposedly had mutant eyes. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 1) #118.

    Switch (Devon Alomar): Current status after M-Day unknown. Switch had the power to trade bodies with others, and was a member of King Bedlam’s Hellions. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #89.

    Swordsman (Andreas von Strucker aka Fenris): His status as a mutant is debated, since he was genetically altered by in vitro. Deceased. Regardless, as long as he was in contact with his twin, Andrea, he had the power to create force blasts. Upon his sister’s death, Andreas flayed some of his sister’s skin to attach to the hilt of his sword, so that he might still be able to use his force powers. He was killed when stabbed through the chest with his own sword by Norman Osborn, and thrown off of Thunderbolts Mountain. Last Appearance: Secret Invasion: Dark Reign #1.

    Sycamore (James Hutchinson): Current status after M-Day unknown. Sycamore was a tree-like mutant who was last seen battling Mant for the right to be on X-Force when his fingers were bitten off. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #129.

    Synch (Everett Thomas): Resurrected with the techno-organic virus. Synch retained his power to create a synchronous aura that he can extend to duplicate the powers of other mutants within it after the Decimation. He died in an explosion from a bomb planted by Adrienne Frost while using borrowed strength from Monet to throw the human students present to safety in Generation X #70. However, he turned up as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene in X-Force (vol. 3) #21. He was last seen attacking his former Generation X teammate, Husk, on Utopia, but it is unknown if he was present amongst those killed in Genosha when Selene completed her spell to ascend to godhood. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #22.

    Synge, Amina: Retained her powers after M-Day. Amina Synge could create psionic-constructs of giant salamanders that could remove a person’s psyche from their body when they were struck by them. She was a friend of Jamie Braddock and one of the Foursaken. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #473.

    Syth (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Possibly deceased. Syth was one of the Genoshan Mutates, and had enhanced strength and agility. He is believed to have been killed as part of Cassandra Nova’s attack upon Genosha. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #26.

    Tag (Brian Cruz): Deceased. Tag had the power to enact a psychic effect that could overwhelmingly compel people to run towards or away from specific target he focuses on. was one of the student’s of Xavier’s depowered on M-Day, and about the bus that was blown up in a rocket attack by Reverend Stryker and the Purifiers. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 2) #24.

    Dr. Takaguchi, Yuriko: Deceased. Dr. Takaguchi was a human member of the X-Club, the X-Men's science team. He died of old age on Utopia shortly after the X-Men's arrival there. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #515.

    Tanaka, Uchio: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Uchio Tanaka was a mute Japanese telepath who had remained in a coma since Hiroshima, was only had woken up again after coming into the proximity of the violent psyche of Sabretooth. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 1) #3.

    Tangerine (???): Origin of powers unknown, believed to be a mutant. Tangerine is a mutant who was originally revealed to exist on Earth-811, the “Days of Future Past” version of Marvel Earth, who had various telepathic, empathic, and psychometric abilities. However, a possible counterpart of hers was seen fighting in the battle that led to the defeat of the vampiric army of Count Dracula, as part of the SAS. Last Appearance: Captain Britain and MI13 #15.

    Tantrum (???): Not confirmed as a mutant, believed to possibly be one, but claimed to work for the gods of chaos. Current status after the Decimation unknown. Tantrum had the power to convert the fears of those around him into strength. He was last seen at She-Hulk’s law school reunion, being defeated by She-Hulk and the Grey Hulk. Last Appearance: Hulk Family: Green Genes #1.

    Tanya ???: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Tanya was a shapeshifting mutant who could also fire light beams who was rescued from a human trafficking ring by Mystique. Last appearance: Mystique #18.

    Tar Baby (???): Deceased. Tar Baby was a Morlock whose body secretes and releases a tar-like substance that caused objects to stick to it. He was put to death in the Neverland Prison Camp. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #5.

    Tarot (Marie-Ange Colbert): Resurrected with the techno-organic virus. Apparently in possession of her power to create psychic constructs based off of the arcane of a tarot deck, but it is unknown if she still maintains her precognitive abilities. Tarot was believed killed in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #282, when her life energy was drained by Trevor Fitzroy. She somehow, though, reappeared in the company of King Bedlam, claiming her life was tied to his in X-Force (vol. 1) #87. Before this relationship could be explained, however, both lost their powers in the Decimation, their power loss confirmed when the energy signatures are listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Whatever the circumstances of her relationship to King Bedlam were, to bring her back from the dead, were negated. She was deceased again, off-panel, until she turned up with her powers, alive, in X-Necrosha #1, as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene. She was last seen on Utopia, attacking the New Mutants, but it is unknown if he was present amongst those killed in Genosha when Selene completed her spell to ascend to godhood.     Tasha ???: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Tasha was a patient of Dr. Marc Dale, being treated for her uncontrollable telepathic ability to hear the thoughts of others. She was last seen being taught to control her powers by Professor X. Last appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 1) #42.

    Tattoo I (Tudo Sokuto): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Tudo is a Japanese mutant and member of the super team known as Tektos who is covered with tattoos, which he can transform into three-dimensional solid forms that he can then animate. He is the brother of Base of the super team know as Genetix who is also a mutant. Tudo and Tektos were last seen being defeated by Genetix in a battle over the Psight Corporation. Last Appearance: Genetix #6.

    Tattoo II (Christine Cood aka Longstrike): Deceased. Tattoo was a member of the Omega Gang who was depowered on M-Day. She, along with her brother, joined the newest incarnation of the New Warriors, under the moniker Longstrike, and wielding technology originally used by Stilt-Man. She was killed in battle with the New Warriors against the Zodiac. Last Appearance: New Warriors (vol. 4) #4.

    Tattooed Man (???): This vaguely-named Russian mutant slave trader retained his powers to manifest tattoos of a person’s greatest fears after the Decimation. He was last seen being freed from the X-Brig by Danger. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 2) #20.

    Taylor (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Possibly deceased. Taylor was one of the Genoshan Mutates, and he could generate cold-fire energies and make them into sculptures. He was believed to be present in Genosha when Cassandra Nova’s Sentinels attacked, and even if he survived that genocidal act, he still may have been depowered on M-Day. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #88.

    Taylor, Billy: Possibly deceased. Billy Taylor was a mutant who had yet to develop his powers, and was abducted by the Weapon X Program, and taken to the Neverland Prison Camp. He escaped the camp with Dr. Windsor, who was actually Mr. Sinister in disguise. He was last seen when Mr. Sinister ordered Scalphunter to prepare his body for autopsy. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #14.

    Taylor, Mr. (??? Taylor): Believed Deceased. Mr. Taylor was a mutant with kinetic energy powers who was abducted by the Weapon X Program, and taken to the Neverland Prison Camp. After he confronted the program’s Director, Malcolm Colcorde, about the atrocities being committed within the camp, he was led off by Boxbots, and never seen again. It’s implied he was killed by Weapon X off-panel. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #5.

    Taylor, Mrs. (??? Taylor): Believed deceased. Mrs. Taylor was a mutant with unknown powers who could make her eyes glow green and was abducted by the Weapon X Program, and taken to the Neverland Prison Camp. It is believed she was eventually taken to the camp’s gas chambers and killed with the rest of its inmates. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #5.

    Taylor, Wendy: Believed deceased. Wendy Taylor was a mutant who had yet to develop her powers, and was abducted by the Weapon X Program, and taken to the Neverland Prison Camp. Teleplex was a mutant who could gain a psychically fix his senses on a person or object from a distance, then replay the audio and video his extra-sensory perceptions would pick up on nearby television and radio equipment. Last Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 1) #44.

    Tempo (Heather Tucker aka Harriet Solomon): Believed deceased. Retained her time-manipulating powers after the Decimation. Along with the majority of the Acolytes, Tempo has begun a journey to San Francisco, and the X-Men to potentially coexist with them, after an encounter with Professor X. She was last seen being shot and dying in front of Rogue while the residents of Utopia were in the “Age of X”, and has not been seen since reality was reset to Marvel Earth-616. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #225.

    Temptress (???): Deceased. Temptress was a mutant infected with a Brood egg who had the power to project pheromones and make those who smelled them wish to please her. She was killed when she was slashed and eviscerated by Wolverine. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #234.

    Tempus (Eva Bell): Developed an X-Gene, and time-manipulating powers after M-Day. This Australian mutant was last seen being pulled into Limbo by Magik. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 3) #5.

    Tension (???): Deceased. Tension was a mutant infected with a Brood egg who had extendable limbs. He was killed when he was incinerated by one of Havok’s plasma blasts. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #234.

    Teresa ???: Deceased. This Peruvian mutant and member of the Shining Path could shoot destructive energy spheres. She was killed by Cable, when he was preventing her from robbing a bank. Last Appearance: Cable (vol. 1) #100.

    Termite (Neil Donaldson): Current status of powers after the Decimation unknown. Termite had the power to dissolve the molecular bonds between objects he touched, causing them to disintigrate. He lost this power after being blasted by Iron Man with the mutant neutralizer device created by Forge. He was last seen imprisoned for his various crimes. Last Appearance: Iron Man (vol. 3) #75.

    Tether (???): Depowered on M-Day. Tether, a Morlock and former member of Gene Nation who is listed among those that make up the collective in New Avengers #18. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men Annual ’97.

    Thatchel, Jamie: Deceased. Jamie was the mutant son Ernest and Sara Thatchel who had pyrokinetic powers. He died when his mother, desperate for Jamie’s father to accept their son’s gift and mutants in general set up a small demonstration at the party of Jamie’s pyrokinetic abilities, which he lost control of, and set the field the party was held in ablaze, killing everyone there with the exception of his father. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 1) #37.

    Thornn (Lucia Callasantos): Depowered after M-Day, but still has her animal-like visage. She was last seen as Sabretooth killed Feral. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 3) #55.

    Thorpe, Gordon: Status as a mutant debatable, due to genetic experimentation performed by Project: Stepladder. Deceased. Gordon Thorpe was believed to be a mutant with impenetrable skin killed by agents of Project: Stepladder, before Michael Whitecloud could write a published news story about the organization’s illegal genetic experiments, including those done on him. Last Mentioned: X-Force (vol. 1) #73.

    Threnody (Melody Jacobs): Retained her powers after the Decimation, as confirmed in Civil War: Battle Damage Report #1. Threnody’s powers are over death energies, and when she was last seen, she had begun to be able to exhibit various applications of this power. She was last romantically involved with Nate Grey, X-Man, but was apparently pregnant from an unknown father. Last Appearance: X-Man #58.

    Thunderbird I (John Proudstar): Deceased. Thunderbird I had enhanced physical abilities, and died on his first mission with the X-Men, refusing to jump off of the plane of Count Nefaria before it exploded and crashed in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #95. However, in X-Force (vol. 3) #11, his corpse was reanimated with the techno-organic virus by Eli Bard. His ghostly presence was last seen ascending into the afterlife after his resurrected body was killed in battle by his own brother, Warpath. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #25.

The brother of Domino, who had the power to manipulate the emotions of others, to the point of dominating their actions. He is believed to have been killed by his mother, Beatrice, when he was last seen together, and she drew her sword to murder him.. Last Appearance: Domino (vol. 2) #4.

    Tia ???: Origin of powers unknown. Possibly a mutant. Tia was a superhuman attempting to psychologically reject using her powers, and get Cloak to do the same. She had some sort of time-manipuation power, and was last seen allowing a man named Strickland to brainwash her not to use it. Last Appearance: Cloak and Dagger One-Shot #1.

    Tick-Tock (???): Current status of powers after the Decimation unknown. Possibly Deceased. Tick-Tock had the power to slow down time, as well as be able to determine how the next minute of the future would be affected by any given action. The original Tick-Tock was last seen battling with the rest of the Night Shift and Avengers West Coast against Satannish in Avengers West Coast #79. However, a character going by the name of Tick-Tock who looked completely different was working for the Night Shift, and was killed by Count Nefaria by being burned alive at a later date. Last Appearance: Moon Knight (vol. 6) #5.

    Timeshadow (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Timeshadow was a member of Apocalypse’s Alliance of Evil team, and a foe of X-Factor with the power to phase in and out of time to create duplicates of himself. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #33.

    Timeslip (Rina Patel): Currently in possession of her power to send her consciousness through time, and manipulate time. Timeslip lost her powers when she prevented the Dire Wraith queen Volx from detonating a device that would remove the powers of thousands of superhumans, but lost her own in the process, but has since been shown in San Francisco, living amongst its mutant population, indicating she has regained her powers. Last Appearance: Marvel Digital Holiday Special 2008.

    Timothy ???: Deceased. Timothy was a member of Project Purgatory, a group aged from the “Inferno Babies”, a group of mutants who were originally kidnapped by N’astirh to be sacrificed in a demonic ritual, then rescued by X-Factor, then taken by Freedom Force and given to military scientists, who raised them in Limbo in the hopes that they would become a platoon of powerful mutant soldiers. Timothy’s powers were believed to be to create energy blasts from his hands, and he was killed when his own teammate, Face, was possessed by Karma and incinerated him with an energy blast. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #19.

    Tithe (Sandra Morgan): Origin of powers unknown, possibly a mutant. Tithe was a a platinum blonde member of the Hellfire Club with the ability to project blasts of energy. She was last seen fleeing and leaving Scholl and Castlemere to be killed by Wolverine at the New York Hellfire Club. Last Appearance: Wolverine: Origins #29.

    Toad (Mortimer Toynbee): Retained his various toad-related powers after M-Day. His current romantic interest to date seems to be a budding relationship with Husk.     Topspin (Darren Mitchell): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Darren is the grandson of the World War II hero Human Top and member of the V-Battalion. He has the ability to spin at superhuman speeds that also allows for flight. Darren was last seen listed as a potential recruit on Tony Stark’s list of potential Initiative recruits. Last Appearance: Civil War: Battle Damage Report #1.

    Toro (Thomas Raymond): Toro is the fire manipulating sidekick of the original Human Torch, who originally died in a in the South Pacific when he tried to force the escape craft of the Thinker to crash by guiding it into the island himself, dying in the explosion in Sub-Mariner #14. However, he was resurrected by Bucky Barnes with the Cosmic Cube during "Avengers/Invaders", and still has his powers. He was last seen battling against Shuma-Gorath with the reassembled Invaders. Last Appearance: Invaders Now! #4.

    Torres (Miguela Torres): Current status after M-Day unknown. A former rival of Skin from Los Angeles, Torres had the ability to harness psionic energy and project it into force bolts. She was last seen battling Prime Sentinels alongside Generation X. Last Appearance: Generation X #31.

    Tower (Edward Pasternak): Resurrected with the techno-organic virus. Tower was a member of the Alliance of Evil with the power to change his physical size at will, and was tracked down and killed by the X-Cutioner in Uncanny X-Men Annual (vol. 1) #17. However, he turned up as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene in X-Force (vol. 3) #21. He was last seen during the attack on Utopia, but it is unknown if he was present amongst those killed in Genosha when Selene completed her spell to ascend to godhood.     Tough Love (???): Status after the Decimation unknown. A member of the Rising Sons, Tough Love has not been seen since battling Generation X and the mercenary Paladin. Last Appearance: Generation X #54.

    Trask, Lawrence “Larry”: Deceased. Larry Trask was a precognitive mutant and son of Bolivar Trask, creator of the Sentinels, who could see future events. Unfortunately, one of the future events he didn’t see was when a falling Sentinel would crush him in Austrailia. Last Appearance: Avengers (vol. 1) #104.

    Traveller, Dr. Judas: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Judas Traveller’s powers are believed to be potentially of mutant origin. This foe of Spider-Man claimed to be a sorcerer with near-godlike abilities, but he was actually a minor ability to alter how others see reality, thus making them believe he had far-wider powers than he did. He was last seen being carted off in a containment pod by men employed by Norman Osborn. Last appearance: Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1) #417.

    T-Ray II (Terry Raymond): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Terry Raymond was a student at Academy X who had bio-vibratory powers, and was last seen helping the X-Men fight off Magneto. Last appearance: X-Men: Life Lessons #1.

    Treemont, Jason: Believed Deceased. Jason Treemont had the mutant powers of advanced aging, and immunities to all drugs and medicines. He was last seen soliciting the services of Stacy X to relieve him of all his physical pain before he died. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #408.

    Tryp, Damian: Retained his powers after M-Day. Tryp is what he calls a “killcrop”, a child born with their mutant powers already in place, and in history regarded as a “changeling” baby. He has been shown to have been born in the 12th century, and is in charge of Singularity Investigations, the opposite number to X-Factor Investigations, and Jamie Madrox. It is currently unknown how only his future self exists, but not his past selves. Regardless, he was last seen talking to Vanora. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #242.

    Tsung, Marcus: Deceased. Tsung had the power to create “virtual bullets” that would not affect inanimate objects, but could affect organic substances. He was killed when shot by Romany Wisdom’s snipers. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #110.

    Tucker, Eric: Deceased. Eric was a mutant who was offered a place at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters but turned it down to remain at his regular school. He later committed suicide after his best friend turned on him and assaulted him, then his girlfriend left him for that same friend, hoping it would cause him to join Xavier’s. Ugly John was a mutant with three faces who ended up being mortally wounded despite the best efforts of Wolverine and Cyclops to protect him from the Nano-Sentinels unleashed by Cassandra Nova. In the end, Cyclops would mercy-kill him with his optic blasts, rather than let him suffer. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #115.

    U-Go Girl (Edith “Edie” Constance Sawyer): Deceased. U-Go Girl was killed by The Spike’s doppelganger. She is revealed to have gone to Heaven, where she was depicted the last time she was seen. Last Appearance: X-Statix Presents: Dead Girl #5.

    Umbra (Patrick Nesbitt): Current Status Unknown after M-Day. Believed to have lost his powers due to the Decimation. Umbra was a member of Rogue‘s student squad, known as the Advocates, who had the power to alter and control darkness. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #444.

    Unus the Untouchable (Angelo Unuscione): Believed Deceased. Unus lost his force-field powers due to the Decimation, and was temporarily repowered with help from Quicksilver and the Terrigen Mists, but his powers were were altered so his new force field did not even let air in, suffocating him in Son of M #5. However, after Eli Bard began resurrecting deceased mutants to be Selene’s thralls on Genosha, his mutant energy signature is detected in Bastion’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. in X-Force (vol. 3) #21. He was last seen on Genosha as a part of Selene’s army, in battle with X-Force, and it is believed he was killed when Selene absorbed his life energy when she completed her spell to ascend to godhood.     Unuscione (Carmella Unuscione): Retained her force field powers after M-Day. Joey V. was a precognitive mutant who joined F.O.O.M. after the Decimation, and had trouble with his career as a photographer, having previously used his precognitive abilities to predict where action would happen, and be the first one on scene to capture it on film.     Vertigo II (???): Technically deceased. As one of Mr. Sinister’s Marauders, Vertigo often escapes death through being repeatedly cloned upon his physical death. Retained her powers after the Decimation. Vertigo is actually one of the Savage Land mutates, and was still currently serving Mr. Sinister as one of his Marauders during “Messiah Complex”. It was then that she was bitten in half by Predator X. However, not one, but two of her clones were seen battling X-Force in Japan. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #9.

    Vessel (???): Deceased. Vessel was a member of Gene Nation who could increase his strength and size by absorbing the physical and psychic energies of people while they were dying. He was shot and killed by a vengeful Agent Zero. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #21.

    View (Winston Frankowski): Status currently unknown after M-Day. Believed depowered by the Decimation. Winston was an Xavier Institute student who was part of Gambit’s squad at Academy X who had the powers of infrared and ultraviolet vision. Last Appearance: Gambit (vol. 4) #10.

    Vincente (???): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Vincente was last seen as a member of Emplate’s version of the Hellions that attacked Generation X.     Viperion (Ray ???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Viperion was one of the Gladiators, with the ability to transform into a gigantic snake. He was last seen battling Ivich in the arena. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 1) #29.

    Virus (Lyle Doorne): Deceased. Virus was a grotesque mutant covered in barbed tentacles that when injected into another, could mentally dominate them. He was killed while attempting to murder a group of young mutants under the tutelage of Wolverine and Sabretooth. Last Appearance: First X-Men #5.

    Viskid (Adrian Defoe): Current Status after the Decimation unknown. Believed depowered on M-Day. Viskid was a student at Academy X whose body was made of a sticky liquid. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 2) #7.

    Vivisector (Myles Lee Afred): Deceased. This lycanthropic member of X-Statix was shot dead, off-panel at his own retirement party. Last Appearance: X-Statix #26.

    Voght, Amelia: Retained her teleportation powers after M-Day. Along with the majority of the Acolytes, Voght has begun a journey to San Francisco, and the X-Men to potentially coexist with them, after an encounter with Professor X. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #225.

    Voice (Jason Cragg aka the Voice of Doom aka the Voice of Truth): Listed in the Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe as being possibly a latent mutant, whose powers were activated by breathing in ionized atoms to activate his voice powers. Currently uses a technological device to keep his powers active after damage to this throat. The Voice was last seen working for the Red Skull, as a member of the Skeleton Crew, and while they were attacking the Hellfire Club, he was badly injured by Selene. Last Appearance: Captain America (vol. 1) #370.

    Von Roehm, Friedrich (aka Black Rook): Deceased. Friedrich may have been a mutant, but he believed he was afflicted with a curse of lycanthropy that would turn him into a werewolf-like creature. He was the Black Rook of the New York Hellfire Club, serving Selene as Black Queen. He was killed after refusing an offer from Storm to ally and battle Nimrod together, and then Nimrod disintegrated him. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #209.

    Von Strucker, Andrea (aka Fenris): His status as a mutant is debated, since he was genetically altered by in vitro. Deceased. She was killed by Baron Helmet Zemo when she discovered his identity as Citizen V, and although cloned and restored to life by her brother, her clone was killed by Bullseye during Secret Invasion on board a Skrull battleship. Last Appearance: Thunderbolts #124.

    Voodoo (Donny ???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Voodoo had unspecified powers, but it is believed they were some sort of disorienting ability. He was last seen with the Children of Heaven cult, as Father Philip was battling Archangel. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #47.

    Vulcan (Gabriel Summers): Believed deceased. One of the “Lost Students” believed dead on Krakoa that was originally taught by Moira MacTaggart. After M-Day, untethered mutant energies awoke Vulcan from stasis in the Earth’s orbit, and his power set eventually settled at energy manipulation, once he was separated from Darwin. Vulcan has usurped the throne of the Shi’ar empire and by expanding its dominion, has solidified his claim to it, becoming popular with the Shi’ar people. His only romantic interest has been Deathbird, although his pursuit of her is more based on Shi’ar politics than love. He was last seen being lost inside a hole torn open in space called the Fault, after battling alone against Black Bolt. Last appearance: War of Kings #6.

    Vulpine (Roja Sanford aka The Fox aka Redd Foxx): Deceased. This early member of X-Statix was killed on one of the team‘s early missions, and was a human/fox hybrid. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #116.

    Wade, Barnaby ???: Status unknown after the Decimation. Not confirmed as a mutant, only suspected. Barnaby Wade had the power to psionically create physical constructs. He was last seen with Jimmy Woo. Last Appearance: Yellow Claw (vol. 1) #4.

    Wall II (Mick Patterson): Depowered due to the Decimation. Wall was a strong, physically invulnerable mutant who was last seen battling Cable, on behalf of Randall Shire. Last Appearance: Cable (vol. 2) #82.

    Wall III (Gunter Gross): Believed Deceased. Wall III was a member of the Euro-Trash made of stone who was shattered and believed killed by X-Force member the Anarchist. Last Appearance: X-Statix #14.

    Wallflower (Laurie Collins): Deceased. Retained her pheromone powers after M-Day, but would end up having her arm injured accidentally by fellow student Wither, before being shot and killed by one of Reverend Stryker’s Purifiers wielding a sniper rifle. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 2) #25.

    Wanda ???: Status unknown after the Decimation. Wanda had the power of enhanced vision so developed, she needed to wear sunglasses to compensate for it. She was a member of the Circle of Pavane, a group of Transian mutants led by her father, who battled the Avengers. Last Appearance: Avengers (vol. 1) #377.

    Wanderer (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Wanderer is a mutant teleporter and an associate of the Goth. Last seen being captured by the X-Men. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #385.

    War I (???, Axi-Tun Empire): War I was an alien member of the Axi-Tun empire, and a Fantastic Four villain. They were last seen being defeated by Quasar. Last Appearance: Quasar (vol. 1) #16.

    War II (Abraham Lincoln Kieros): Current status after M-Day unknown. One of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen, Kieros had the power to create explosions through kinetic contact, and was last seen being granted the use of his legs again by Angel. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 2) #147.

    War III (Hulk): War III, the Incredible Hulk, was not a mutant, but a gamma-irradiated human mutate. He was last seen in Apocalypse’s service in Egypt, where he battled the Juggernaut and the Absorbing Man. Last Appearance (as a Horseman): Incredible Hulk (vol. 1) #457.

    War IV (Deathbird aka Cal‘syee Neranami): Deathbird is not a mutant, but a member of the Shi‘ar people known as the Aerie. Last Appearance (as a Horseman): X-Men (vol. 2) #97.

    War VI (Decimus Furius): Believed Deceased. Decimus Furius retained his powers after the Decimation.     Warbird II (Ava‘dara Naganandini): Warbird II is not a mutant, but a member of the Shi’ar race known as the Aerie. She serves as the bodyguard to the Jean Grey School student, Kid Gladiator. Her last known romantic interest was a kinky fling with Warbird II, while both were at the Jean Grey School for Higher learning. She was last seen in the teacher’s lounge at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Last Appearance: Wolverine and the X-Men #27.

    Ward-Child (???): Currently not in possession of his powers. This mutant is actually a German child who while still in its mother’s womb, manifested its X-Gene for the first time, and required Hope to come from Utopia to stabilize its mutation. Of course, in doing so, Hope left his X-Gene and powers dormant until he would manifest them again upon reaching puberty. He was last seen shortly after his birth. Last Appearance: Generation Hope #7.

    Warlock I (??? Maha Yogi aka Merlin Demonspawn): Status as a mutant debatable, as Warlock I claimed to be a mutant, but all Marvel reference to him states he’s a magic user. Current stautus after the Decimation unknown. Warlock I had a variety of powers at his disposal, including teleportation, telepathy, telekinesis, mind control, mental illusions, and immortality. Last Appearance: Captain Marvel (vol. 5) #21.

    Warlock III (aka Douglock): Warlock is not just a mutant, but a mutant member of the alien Techarchy. Warlock's mutant power is that as a Technarch, he has a separate sense of self, an aberration for that race. Warlock retained his mutant power after the Decimation. Warlock has a more human personalitiy due to having shared Doug's DNA and brain patterns when experimented on by Stephen Lang. He was last seen at a house party at the New Mutants‘ San Francisco apartment. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #50.

    Warpath (James Proudstar aka Thunderbird II): Retained his powers of enhanced physical abilities after M-Day. His last known romantic relationship was with Hepzibah. He was last seen prior to the battle against the Phoenix-Force possessed Cyclops and Emma Frost. Last Appearance: A v X #11.

    Warp Savant (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Warp Savant could perform a psionic extraction ability that enabled him to disassemble matter and store it as mental energy within the confines of his mind. After an encounter with the X-Men, and a threat from Wolverine, who had just escaped his mind, Warp Savant used his powers on himself, and has vanished, not to be seen since. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #394.

    Warren, Lt. (Ethan Warren): Deceased. Not confirmed as a mutant, but suspected of being one. Lt. Warren was a man who served with Wolverine in World War II in Japan, and was present with Logan outside Hiroshima when the atomic bomb was dropped on it. Somehow, he managed to absorb the radiation from the blast, and return to later battle Wolverine as a creature made of living flame. He would eventually revert to his human form, and be decapitated by Wolverine, apparently finally killing him. Last Appearance: Logan #3.

    Warthog (???): Deceased. Warthog was a member of the London Morlocks, and was killed by the mutant hunter, Mr. Clean. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #395.

    Washout (John Lopez): Deceased. Washout was a member of Weapon X with a variety of water-based powers. In the end, died betraying the shadowy Canadian government organization to Cable’s Mutant Underground. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #11.

    Watson, Wendell: Deceased. Wendell Watson was a farmer whose powers were never revealed that was tied to a stake and burned in a cornfield by two drunken teenagers. Last Appearance: Generation M #4.

    Weapon Omega (Michael Pointer aka the Collective aka Guardian VI aka Omega): Retained his power to absorb mutant energy on M-Day, and ended up using it on a grand scale when several lost mutant energies possessed him. Michael was trained to use his powers by the Canadian government to become the new Weapon Omega, or Guardian using a containment suit. He was last seen in a secure sub-chamber of the Jean Grey School of Higher Learning after being placed into a telepathically-induced coma by his friend, Mimic, because his powers out of control, potentially about to kill him in an explosive blast. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #265.

    Weird Woman (Gloria ???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. The Weird Woman was a mutant with the powers of telekinesis, telepathy, and the ability to turn immaterial. She was last seen at the trial of George Timmins. Last Appearance: Amazing Detective Cases #11.

    Whedon, Evangeline “Vange”: Retained her powers to turn into a large winged dragon after M-Day. Evangeline serves as a lawyer to the X-Men on occasion, and was last seen in San Francisco, representing Teon Macik at his trial to decide who should have custody of him. Last Appearance: Generation Hope #8.

    Whiphand (???): Deceased. Whiphand was a mutant infected with a Brood Egg, who died when Colossus snapped his neck. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #234.

    Whiplash II (Leeann Foreman): Current status after Decimation unknown. Leeann is a mutant with unidentified powers who wears a padded Kevlar uniform, and uses gauntlets with spring-loaded Omnium cables with Adamantium barbs on the tips. She is primarily associated with the mutant team known as the Femme Fatales but has been a member of various other villainous groups. Whiplash was last seen at a criminal underworld auction for the Venom symbiote. Last Appearance: Marvel Knights Spider-Man #6.

    Whirlwind (David Cannon): Retained his spinning powers after the Decimation. The longtime Iron Man and Avengers foe with wind powers was last seen with a reunited Lethal Legion in New York, being captured by the Avengers. Last Appearance: Avengers: X-Sanction #1.

    Whisper (Karl Reifschneider): Deceased. Karl was a German mutant with telepathic abilities who sought to ally with Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He was killed by Magneto after revealing his real name which Magneto remembered being a former guard at Auschwitz. Last Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 2) #3.

    White, Jonathon: Current status after Decimation unknown. Jonathon was mutant, who was also a pawn of Dormammu, whose mutant ability allows him to give other individuals magical abilities, which if not removed within 10 hours by him will kill them. Jonathon was last seen been tossed into a portal by Doctor Strange telling him to wait with his mages and he would come for him later. Last Appearance: Doctor Strange (vol. 4) #4.

    Whiteout (???): Current status unknown. Whiteout is not a mutant, but a Savage Land Mutate created by Magneto who can create a flash of psionic energy to blind opponents. He was last seen attacking the Avengers in the Savage Land. Last Appearance: New Avengers (vol. 1) #5.

    White Ninja I (???): Current status unknown. Possibly Deceased. Not confirmed as a mutant, but on panel, referred to as “some kind of a mutant”. The White Ninja was, not surprisingly, a ninja who wore white, and had the power to turn invisible if he could concentrate. He fought Spider-Man over the Cassidy Crystals, but has not been seen since he fell into a crevasse while battling Spider-Man. Last Appearance: Spider-Man: Fear Itself #1.

    White Queen (Emma Frost): Retained her two mutant powers after M-Day, her telepathy, and her ability to change into a form of diamond. She was last romantically involved with the leader of the X-Men, Cyclops, and is a member of the team. She was last seen being pulled into Limbo by Magik. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 3) #5.

    Whitman, Malcolm: Status currently unknown after M-Day. Whitman was a pyrokinetic mutant last seen being taken into custody by the FBI in the slaying of William Sumner. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 2) #1.

    Whizzer (Robert L. “Bob“ Frank): Deceased. Status as a mutant debatable, as he‘s described as a latent mutant whose powers were activated when he received a transfusion of mongoose blood. Whizzer, the Golden Age super-speedster, died of a heart attack while in battle with Isbisa. Last Appearance: Vision and Scarlet Witch (vol. 1) #2.

    Wiccan (William “Billy” Kaplan aka Asgardian): Not confirmed as a mutant, but suspected of being one, possibly a magical creation of the Scarlet Witch. Wiccan has some reality warping abilities, not unlike the Scarlet Witch, via hex magic. He was last seen in Broxton, Oklahoma with Loki and Hulkling. Last Appearance: Young Avengers (vol. 2) #2.

    Wicked (???): Depowered on M-Day. Was temporarily repowered with help from Quicksilver and the Terrigen Mists, but her powers were out of control, and she was taunted by the spirits of her parents. She since has lost her powers again. Last Appearance: Son of M #5.

    Wild Child (Kyle Gibney): Believed Deceased. While listed as depowered by M-Day, and his mutant energies being part of the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18, Wild Child resurfaced with his powers intact, possibly due to some unknown bargain with the mysterious benefactor, Romulus. He was last seen being thrown into a vat of molten metal by Omega Red, if he survived this is still unknown. Last Appearance: Wolverine: Origins #39.

    Wildside (Richard Gill): Lost his powers in the Decimation. Wildside, who formerly could disrupt someone’s sense of reality, His power loss is confirmed when his energy signature is listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol.1) #81.

    Wilkinson, Lenore: Depowered by the Decimation. It is unknown what Lenore’s powers were, but she lost her X-Gene on M-Day, and was last seen in Detroit, being attacked by Cortex. Last appearance: X-Factor (vol. 3) #49.

    William (???): Deceased. The enigmatic mutant named William was being rapidly aged by his energy powers, and died from them, despite the best efforts of Spider-Man to prevent otherwise. Last Appearance: Peter Parker: Spider-Man #34.

    Wind Dancer (Sofia Mantega aka Renascence): Depowered by the Decimation. Sofia was working as a diner waitress in New York City, before becoming a costumed vigilante battling with advanced technology including Doctor Octopus’ tentacles named Renascence. She was last seen as the New Warriors team she was a member of disbanded. Last Appearance: New Warriors (vol. 4) #20.

    Windshear (Colin Ashworth Hume): Depowered by the Decimation. His power loss, and mutant nature was confirmed when his energy signature is listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. He was last seen being knocked out by the Vision while battling against the Avengers while possessed by the Goddess. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 1) #127.

    Wing (Edward “Eddie” Tancredi): Deceased. Wing was depowered by Ord of the Breakworld in Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #4 and killed himself in the Danger Room as a result shortly thereafter. Last Appearance: Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #7.

    Wipeout (???): Deceased. Wipeout was a mutant who could produce biological energy bursts that could remove the mental circuits that allow superhumans access to their powers, erasing them until he wishes to reactivate their powers. He was killed by Cameron Hodge in an attempt to frame Havok for the crime. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #272.

    Wisdom, Peter Paul “Pete”: Retained his power to manifest “hot knives” after M-Day, having started a new Excalibur team in London. Pete Wisdom’s last romantic interest was apparently having little to do with romance, when he had a fling in a closet with Dazzler. He was last seen sending Gambit back to the United States. Last Appearance: Gambit (vol. 5) #7.

    Wither (Kevin Ford): Deceased. Retained his powers after the Decimation. This student of Academy X, however, ran away from the Institute, and was living on the streets of Mutant Town in New York City, where he would end up in the arms of the energy-draining mutant Selene. He was last seen on Genosha being killed by Elixir, who dissolved his physical form in self-defense. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #25.

    Wither, Ashton: Deceased. Died saving FBI agent Aaron Kearse from Agent Duncan after using his power to wither flesh to dessicate the rogue agent. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 2) #4.

    Witness (Remy Etienne LeBeau): Deceased. Retained his powers after M-Day. The Witness is actually Gambit from Bishop’s alternate future (Earth-1236) who can see all things in all other timelines. He was killed, as a result, by the Marauders prior to “essiah CompleX”. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #200.

    Wiz Kid (Taki Matsuya): Retained his powers after the Decimation. Taki was confirmed to have lost his technomorphic powers when SHIELD computers detected his mutant energy signature as a part of the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. However, he apparently had hacked the computer to falsely give authorities the impression he‘d lost his powers, when he had not. He was last seen at Avengers Academy, as the students were arguing with the detained teenagers from Utopia and Sebastian Shaw. Last Appearance: Avengers Academy #30.

    Wolf (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Wolf was a member of Team America a.k.a. the Thunderiders, and had the power to project his strength, stamina, and knowledge into another collective being along with the other members of Team America. Last Appearance: Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance #12.

    Wolf Cub (Nicholas Gleason): Deceased. Wolf Cub had retained his powers as a man/wolf hybrid after the Decimation. Wolf Cub was killed in battle by Donald Pierce. Last Appearance: Young X-Men #5.

    Wolfsbane (Rahne Sinclair): Not affected by M-Day, retaining her power to shift inbetween a human, and wolf forms. Her last romantic interest was her a reunion with her old love from Asgard, the Wolf Prince, Hrimhari. She was last seen at the conclusion of the “Hell on Earth War“. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #256.

    Wolverine (James Howlett aka Logan aka Weapon X aka Patch): Not depowered by M-Day, but regained all of his lost memories, including that of two clans of “Lupines”, feral mutants that have been at war through history. Logan’s full recollection of his memories of the "Lupines", or Romulus are still incomplete, and have yet to be fully explained. Wolverine’s healing factor has shown remarkable new levels of regeneration, once even allowing him to survive being incinerated down to his adamantium skeleton and a few cells by the villain Nitro, but has recently been scaled back from these incredible levels. He currently is also in possession of his adamantium skeleton and claws. Wolverine is currently operating as a member of the Avengers, secretly participating in his own version of X-Force, and is running the Jean Grey School of Higher Learning in Westchester, as well as often adventuring alone. His last romantic interest was a fling with the mysterious Remus. Last appearance: (Come on, it’s Wolverine. You see him enough everywhere and anywhere.)

    Worm I (???): Worm is not a mutant, but a Savage Land Mutate created by Magneto whose lower body ends not in legs, but a wormlike tail and he can produce a mucus that when victims touch it, can be dominated for a time. He was last seen attacking Japanese sailing vessels with the Savage Land Mutates. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #10.

    Worm III (Winston Hobbes): Deceased. Hobbes was a horribly deformed mutant with heightened strength, darkness-adapted vision, venomous fangs and spitting ability, tunneling power based on sharp claws and ability to digest soil. He was a serial killer who was shot and killed by Ismael Ortega. Last Appearance: District X #12.

    Wraith II (Hector Mendoza): Depowered on M-Day. Wraith was a member of the X-Men during the “Eve of Destruction” storyline. The loss of his powers was confirmed on SHIELD computers analyzing the mutant energies that made up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #113.

    Wraith, John (aka Kestrel): Possibly Deceased. Retained his powers after the Decimation. The former member of the Weapon X project has the power to phase and apparently teleport, and apparently was able to use it to avoid being killed by Sabretooth in Wolverine (vol. 2) #166. He instead became a pastor, starting his own church. He was last seen lying face down after being stabbed by a demon-possessed Wolverine. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 4) #3.

    Wrap (Nick Bisley): Current status unknown after the Decimation. A member of Emplate’s version of the Hellions that attacked Generation X. Ebon’s whereabouts, and the status of his powers after the Decimation are unknown. Last Appearance: Generation X #57.

    Wrench (Leonard Hebb): Current status after M-Day unknown. Wrench was a member of Team America a.k.a. the Thunderiders, and had the power to project his strength, stamina, and knowledge into another collective being along with the other members of Team America. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 1) #6.

    Wyngarde, Martinique (aka Mastermind II aka Martinique Jason): Retained her powers of illusion after M-Day. Martinique is one of the two daughters of Jason Wyngarde, the original Mastermind, and the half-sister of Regan Wyngarde, Lady Mastermind. Martinique She was last seen being teleported away from Utopia by Pixie. Last Appearance: X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back #4.

    X (Marvin Hoffman): Deceased. X was the psionically charismatic leader of the Brotherhood, a mutant terrorist organization (not Magneto’s) and died after being blown up by Mike Asher, one of his subordinates. Last Appearance: The Brotherhood #9.

    X-23 (Laura Kinney): Retained her powers after M-Day. X-23 is the 23rd and most successful clone of Wolverine created by a mysterious organization to replicate the Weapon X project.     X-Man (Nate Grey): Maintained his nearly immeasurable telepathic and telekinetic powers after the Decimation, even through his supposed death. X-Man supposedly died saving the world from the Anti-Man in X-Man #75, but his psychic energies began to coalesce into a new body in Dark X-Men #1. His current romantic interest is apparently Dani Moonstar. He was last seen at a house party at the New Mutants‘ San Francisco apartment. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #50.

    Xande (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Xande was a young Brazilian telekinetic befriended by Cable, and a fan of "The Arena," which he was last seen leaving. Last appearance: Cable (vol. 1) #105.

    Xenon (Shaun Kennedy): Current Status Unknown after M-Day. Believed to have lost their powers after Decimation. Xenon was a member of Rogue‘s student squad, known as the Advocates, who had the power to control light. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #444.

    Xiong, ??? (aka Mr. Xiong): Depowered by the Decimation. Mr. Xiong was a mutant acupuncturist who had the power to created psionic needles that could drain psychic toxins that cause negative emotions from people. He was last seen helping the X-Men interrogate a member of the Hellfire Cult. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #502.

    Xorn, Kuan-Yin: Deceased. Kuan-Yin Xorn died when decapitated by Wolverine in in his attack on New York City. His energies made up the dominant personality within the Collective, when it returned to Earth after M-Day, but how they lingered after decapitation is still unclear, or if it was Kuran-Yin’s brother Shen, in fact, who was the Xorn personality inside the Collective is unknown. Last Appearance: In physical form, X-Men (vol. 2) #150. As part of the Collective, New Avengers (vol. 1) #20.

    Xorn, Shen: Depowered after M-Day. Shen served briefly as a member of the X-Men after they rescued him from a Chinese prison. He was last seen back to the mansion, after removing his helmet to capture most of the Brotherhood inside the black hole he had for a brain. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #164.

    Yamamoto, Sanji: Current status after M-Day unknown. Sanji was a rat-human hybrid mutant who was working as the cafeteria chef at the Xavier Institute. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #429.

    Yekaterina ???: Current status after M-Day unknown. Yekaterina is a Ukrainian mutant shapeshifter. The limits to her shapeshifting ability as relates to size and mass are unknown, but she has already shown she can appear as any female form. Last Appearance: Marvel Knights Spider-Man #2.

    Yeti II (Ben Goldendawn): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Ben Goldendawn is a large, super-strong and durable mutant easily mistaken for a sasquatch, who was one of a handful of a moments protected by the government by Wolverine and Sabretooth, prior to the opening of the Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. He last seen fleeing after a Sentinel prototype attack. Last Appearance: First X-Men #5.

    Yidrazil (???): Deceased. Yidrazil was a member of the Neyaphem, a clan of ancient, extra-dimensional mutants often mistaken for demons. He was killed when he was decapitated by Kiwi Black. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #434.

    Yoshida (??? Yoshida): Deceased. This telepathic mutant was a member of the business cabal The Gauntlet. She was executed by Nate Grey after he learned the horrible truth of The Gauntlet. Last appearance: X-Man #66.

    Yuri ???: Deceased. Yuri was a Siberian mutant with healing powers who was murdered by Mr. Sinister. Last Appearance: X-Men: Colossus Bloodline #1.

    Zach ???: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Zach was a mutant/Deviant hybrid. He possessed a rocklike body, and was last seen being rescued from the Damocles Foundation by X-Force. Last appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #86.

    Zaitsev, Vladimir Semyanovitch: Deceased. Zaitsev was a Russian drug-dealing mutant with light-controlling powers who had framed a friend of Dazzler’s named O.Z. Chase. He was killed by Chase’s dog, Cerebus whilst being hunted by Wolverine and Dazzler through the Florida Everglades. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #228.

    Zaladane (Zala Dane): Deceased. It is unconfirmed if Zaladane was some kind of mutant, latent mutant, or Savage Land Mutate. The magnetic-manipulating Savage Land Mutate was killed by Magneto by being impaled with metal spikes after she had stolen both the powers of Polaris and Magneto. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #275.

    Zalme (??? Zalme): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Zalme was a mutant soldier who had the latent mutant power to turn into a purple human/lizard hybrid. Upon testing out a device that was to make mutants’ powers rage out of control in his vicinity, it revealed Zalme’s own mutant status. He was last seen after his rampage was stopped by Dazzler, the intended target of the test he was participating in. Last Appearance: Dazzler #30.

    Zapper (Colin Smith): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Zapper was a British mutant who could access electromagnetic energy seemingly at will. He was last seen tied up and left in the Brazilian rainforest by Rick Mason. Last Appearance: Marvel Graphic Novel: The Agent #1.

    Zealot (Thomas Philip Moreau): Deceased. Zealot possessed terraforming powers to control the very soil of Genosha. However, it didn’t do him much good when Magneto launched him into spaceto kill him. Last Appearance: Magneto Rex #3.

    Zeek (???): Deceased. A member of the New York City Morlocks, Zeek was shot and killed by Harpoon during the “Mutant Massacre”. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #10.

    Zeeshan ???: Deceased. Zeeshan was a student in Sheffield, England, who developed some sort of mutant power to turn into liquid after the Decimation, but killed himself before Hope could arrive to stabilize his powers, after his roommate posted pictures of him turning to ooze all over the internet. Last Appearance: Generation Hope #9.

    Zeitgeist II (Axel Cluney): Deceased. Member of X-Force, X-Statix killed in the Boys-R-Us Massacre. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #116.

    Zero II (Kenji Uedo): Deceased. Developed mutant powers after the Decimation. Kenji Uedo is a Japanese mutant whose whole body is his mind, and seems able to create biological projections from it, limited only by his imagination. He was killed by Martha Johansson, when he tried to murder Hope. Last Appearance: Generation Hope #17.

    Zippermouth (Vincent ???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Zippermouth was one of Frankie Zapruder's men with the ability to read emotions and also a physical mutation of a wide, lipless mouth. He was last seen being arrested at the conclusion of the "Toad Juice War." Last appearance: District X #6.
