Martin, Ashley: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Ashley Martin had the mutant power to control inanimate objects. Last Appearance: X-Men: The Hidden Years #10.

Martin, Jeannie: Deceased. Jeannie died in the middle of the street when her forty inch long neck snapped when she lost her powers on M-Day. Last Appearance: Generation M #1.

Martynec, Dr. Edwin (a.k.a. Edward Martin): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Martynec’s mutant ability allows him to transform into a coyote/human creature. Martynec clandestinely exposed Camp Verde Apache reservation to radiation while attempting to produce an army of mutant children for the time-traveling Stryfe but was later captured and brought to justice by Warpath and Siryn who used her sonic scream on him shattering his bones. X-Force (vol. 1) #74.

Marvel Boy VI (David Bank): Current status after the Decimation unknown. While David has a mutant lineage, he also had undergone experimentation by a company called Adrenamix, which may have accelerated his mutation accidentally. David is a third generation mutant, the son of Irving Bank and grandson of Meyer Banciewicz, who had unspecified energy powers. He was last seen with his father, opening a package that contained Vance Astrovik’s old Marvel Boy outfit, and being offered the legacy of that hero’s code name. Last Appearance: Justice: Four Balance #4.

Marwan, Krista: Current status after Decimation unknown. Krista is a young mutant with low-level empathic abilities allowing her to read the emotions of those within a small distance from her. Krista became impregnated by the virtually unstoppable killing machine known as Death Metal, whose programming would not allow for destruction by its own hand with genetic samples taken from the mutant Madison Jeffries and Genetix member Vesper to combine them into single sample to make Krista give birth to a child that would one day be able to destroy him. When last seen Krista was pregnant and planning to give birth to the baby who she hoped would one day would work with Death Metal and not destroy him. Last Appearance: Death Metal Vs. Genetix #2.

Mary Margaret ???: Current status unknown after the Decimation. Mutant status not confirmed, only suspected. Mary Margaret was a precognitive who also suffered from what appeared to be stigmata who was shot in the foot after answering questions about Warren Worthington III by a mysterious stranger dressed as a priest. This occrued when Warren was in boarding school, and thus it is unknown what happened to her in present day. Last Appearance: Angel: Revelations #3.

Mary Zero (Mary ???): Depowered on M-Day. Mary Zero’s power to be unnoticed by only the most disturbed, our powerful minds was confirmed lost when her energy signature is listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: Agent X #7.

Masque (???): Retained his power to alter flesh by touch after the Decimation. While Masque was believed to have been placed in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #491, but is now on Utopia, where he was last seen being attacked by Dust during the attack by the Evolutionaries. Last Appearance: Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 3) #14.

Mastermind (Jason Wyngarde): Deceased. The master illusionist died of the Legacy Virus. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men Annual (vol. 1) #17.

Match (Ben Hamill): Retained his pyrokinetic powers after the Decimation, and he was last seen at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, as Cyclops‘ team of X-Men arrived to attempt to recruit some students to his cause. Last Appearance: All New X-Men #10.

Matchstick Girl (???): Current status unknown after M-Day. Matchstick Girl was part of a group of New York City Morlocks who had the power to have her hands ignite if exposed to air. She was last seen being rescued by Wolverine and Beast. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 1) #900.

Matheson, Leon: Believed deceased. Leon Matheson is a mutant with the power to influence rainfall, and he was killed in the attack by Cassandra Nova’s Sentinels in New X-Men (vol. 1) #115. However, he was resurrected by Eli Bard with the techno-organic virus and was revealed as one of Selene’s thralls in X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #231. He was last seen being brought before Selene, after helping Destiny escape her. It is unknown, though, if he managed to survive Selene’s ascension to godhood on Genosha. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #231.

Matson, Teddy: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Teddy Matson was a mutant born with Down's Syndrome with undisclosed powers. He was last seen when the Acolytes were planning on forcibly recruiting him, before they learned of his disability, and attempted to kill him along with his human classmates. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #298.

Matthew (Holiday Special) ???: Current status after M-Day unknown. Matthew was a mutant telepath who shortly after manifesting his powers and being picked on by other kids, tried to use them to detain Santa Claus on Christmas as a way to punish the other children, so they wouldn’t get any presents. Last Appearance: Generation X: Holiday Special.

Matthew (chef) ???: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Matthew was a mutant chef with unspecified powers, who was the boyfriend of Jade Parisi. He was last seen with his girlfriend, as she told off Geech for coming after her. Last appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #451.

Maureen ???: Current status after the Decimation unknown. This telekinetic mutant waitress was seen once, at a diner, where Magneto stopped to eat, serving customers by levitating their food out to them. Last Appearance: Magneto (vol. 2) #1.

Maverick (Christoph Nord aka David North aka Wildcat aka Agent Zero): Depowered on M-Day. His mutant energies were revealed to be a part of the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18, and thus, he lost his power to absorb and rechannel kinetic energy into explosive blasts. Maverick was last seen on the phone with Wolverine, trying to help him locate the location of a party Sabretooth was holding in Madripoor. Last appearance: Wolverine (vol. 1) #304.

Maw (???): Deceased. Maw was a member of Project Purgatory, a group aged from the “Inferno Babies”, a group of mutants who were originally kidnapped by N’astirh to be sacrificed in a demonic ritual, then rescued by X-Factor, then taken by Freedom Force and given to military scientists, who raised them in Limbo in the hopes that they would become a platoon of powerful mutant soldiers. Maw’s power were enhanced strength, and to have a body covered in several large mouths for biting, and he was killed when his own teammate, Face, was possessed by Karma and incinerated him with an energy blast. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #19.

Max Rocker (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Max was a human/horse hybrid and a member of the Gladiators. He was last seen in battle against the New Mutants. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 1) #31.

McFee, Jonathan: Deceased. Not a mutant, but one of the mutant/Deviant hybrid child guinea pigs of the Damocles Foundation. McFee was killed by his own out-of-control pyrokinetic powers. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #77.

Medina, Fabio: Developed the ability to produce projectile balls of matter from his body when struck after the Decimation. Fabio Medina was last seen being pulled into Limbo by Magik. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 3) #5.

Meggan (Meggan Braddock aka Gloriana): Meggan retained her empathic, metamorphic, and elemental powers after M-Day. Meggan sacrificed herself, being pulled out of reality to close a tear in its fabric during House of M, and has been seen of late trying to return to Earth. She was last seen fighting alongside the Captain Britain Corps and Uncanny X-Force to foil a demonic invasion on Otherworld. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Force #23.

Meld (Jeremiah Muldoon): Deceased. Retained his power to reshape and control metal after M-Day. He was killed on Utopia, when during the attack by Selene‘s Inner Circle, when he was strangled by Senyaka‘s psionic whips. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #23.

Melek (???): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Melek was a telepath who could only communicate telepathically to people over short distances. He was one of the leaders of the Tunnel Rats, a group of sewer dwelling mutants in Mutant Town. He was last seen surviving an attack by the serial killer known as the Worm. Last Appearance: District X #12.

Melissa ???: Current status unknown after the Decimation. Believed to have been depowered on M-Day. Melissa was one of the students from Academy X taken out into Salem Center on Halloween to trick-or-treat by the staff. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 2) #1.

Mellancamp, Seamus: Maintained his powers after being resurrected with the techno-organic virus after the Decimation. While Mellancamp was clearly killed on-panel in X-Factor(vol. 1) #92, he would somehow turn up alive in both the Quicksilver series and “Magneto War” storylines. He would have been killed in Genosha during Cassandra Nova’s Sentinel attack, having last been seen there in X-Men (vol. 2) #86. However, he would be resurrected with the techno-organic virus, and turn up in the attack on Utopia in X-Force Annual (vol. 3) #1 as one of Selene’s thralls. He was last seen attacking Warpath on Utopia, but It is unknown if he managed to survive Selene’s ascension to godhood on Genosha. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #22.

Meltdown I (???): Deceased. Meltdown was a mutant with the power to create destructive radiation blasts. He was believed killed when Wolverine impaled him with several boron rods, that absorb radiation in Havok/Wolverine: Meltdown #4. However, he survived and came to America, where he ended up trying to convince a troop of Morlocks that he was curing them of powers they lost when the Decimation hit, only to be killed again by Elixir and Wolverine. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 1) #309.

Meltdown II (Tabitha “Tabby” Smith aka Boom Boom aka Boomer): See entry for Boom Boom.

Melter II (Christopher Colchiss): Retained his powers after the Decimation. This version of Melter is a mutant with the power to melt any substance. He is a member of the team of villains known as the Young Masters, and was last seen at the Invisible Manor in Central Park. Last Appearance: Age of Heroes #2.

Membrain (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Membrain was a member of Gene Nation whose body made up of a mucous membrane, allowing him to liquify himself and flow at will, and his mucous has psychic properties that allow him to view distant places and stun his opponents. He was last seen battling X-Man and Generation X. Last Appearance: X-Man #50.

MeMe (???): Believed deceased. Meme was a member of the Morlocks who could absorb other beings into his physical mass, gaining enhanced size, stamina, strength or limbs as a result. He supposedly died after Jean Grey psionically shut off his mind. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #292.

Mentac (??? Aka the Living Computer): Deceased. Mentac was a Russian mutant supergenius who would be killed by the cyborg assassin, Firefox. Last Appearance: Soviet Super-Soldiers #1.

Mentat (Robert Zepheniah): Current status after M-Day unknown. Believed to have been depowered by the Decimation. Mentat was a mutant telepath who was last seen at Academy X. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 1) #124.

Mentallo (Marvin Flumm): Mentallo had retained his mutant gene after M-Day, as well as his various telepathic and telekinetic powers. He was last seen working for A.I.M. Last Appearance: Secret Avengers (vol. 2) #3.

Mercator, Absolom (Mr. M): Possibly deceased. He may have evolved beyond his mortal coil when after retaining his ability to alter energy and mattter after M-Day, he was killed when Johnny Dee controlled Leech to depower him, and controlled Magma to incinerate him while vulnerable. However, the next day, Lorelei and Leech discover that his casket does not hold his body, but instead, several of the butterflies Mr. M was creating at will in the days previous, indicating he might have simply transcended beyond the flesh. Last Appearance: X-Men: The 198 #5.

Mercury (Cessily Kincaid): Retained her power to exist in a liquid metal state on M-Day. Her last confirmed romantic interest was when she offered to keep company with Wither, because he could touch her without killing her, though she was rejected. She was last seen at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Last Appearance: Wolverine and the X-Men #21.

Mesmero (Vincent ???): Depowered on M-Day. Mesmero, a former member of Weapon X, was forced into poverty, but has been revealed to have found love without coercion after that event. Last Appearance: New Excalibur #9.

Messenger, Tobias: Deceased. Messenger died due to a malfunction of the stasis equipment keeping him alive. Last Appearance: X-Men: The Hidden Years #22.

Meteor (???): Deceased. Meteor was one of the mutants rescued by Wolverine prior to the founding of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters with flame powers. He was killed in an attack by Sentinel prototypes. Last Appearance: First X-Men #5.

Mexer, Andre: Current status after M-Day unknown. Believed to have lost his powers due to the Decimation. Mexer was a Brazilian mutant with the power to psionically sedate others. He was last seen at the X-Mansion after being lobotomized by the villain Kuhrra Daizonest. Last Appearance: Wolverine: Saudade #1.

Michael ??? (Genoshan Mutate): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Believed Deceased. Michael was a Genoshan mutate whose only appearance was when he was seen just prior to undergoing the Mutate Bonding process. For Michael to have survived, he would have had to not only endured the civil war on Genosha, but have survived the attack by Cassandra Nova’s Sentinels. Even if he survived all that, he would likely still have lost his powers to the Decimation. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 1) #95.

Michael ??? (Generation M): Depowered on M-Day. Michael was a mutant with unspecified powers interviewed about the Decimation by Sally Floyd. Last Appearance: Generation M #3.

Michael "Mike" ??? (Children of Heaven): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Mike was a mutant healer taken in by the Children of Heaven cult, who could also reverse his powers to cause pain and was used as such to torture disobedient members of the cult. He was last seen at the cult's headquarters, which he and other young mutants hoped to turn into a legitimate help center. Last appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #47.

Michaels, Cassandra: Current status after the Decimation unknown. This mutant tailor was once a love interest of Magneto, who designed his original costume. She apparently had some sort of power that allowed her to create garments, and was last seen with Magneto where he defeated the Morlock known as Abomination. Last Appearance: Magneto (vol. 2) #1.

Microbe (Zachary Smith, Jr.): Deceased. Retained his powers after the Decimation, but would be killed when being blown up while trying to apprehend the villain Nitro in Stamford. Last Appearance: Civil War #1.

Micromax (Scott Wright): Retained his size-changing powers on M-Day. He was last seen participating as a member of a top secret black ops organization called Vanguard. Last Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 2) #12.

Midnight’s Fire (Aaron Chord): Current status after M-Day unknown. His status as a mutant is debated, because most list him as a mutate because he was exposed to the energies of the Universal Wellspring while in the womb. Regardless, he retained his powers after M-Day, and was at one point a reluctant member of the Thunderbolts during “Civil War”. He has recently surfaced in New York, however, and has become a double agent for a mysterious benefactor working against the new Night Thrasher. He was last seen giving magical artifacts he had stolen to Donyell Taylor. Last Appearance: New Warriors (vol. 4) #16.

Milan, Francisco: Deceased. Milan was one of Magneto’s Acolytes with electrical powers, who died during Holocaust’s attack upon Avalon. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #43.

Miller, Anthony: Deceased. Anthony Miller was a mutant bike messenger killed by people being mind-controlled by the Red Skull. Last Appearance: Uncanny Avengers #3.

Miller, Layla (aka Butterfly aka Layla Madrox): Retained her mutant power to bring the dead back. albeit, without a soul, or conscience, after M-Day. Layla’s power to “know stuff” comes from an encounter as an adolescent with her future self, who downloaded all of her own knowledge, as well as eighty years of future events, into her counterpart. Her last known romantic interest was Jamie Madrox. She was last seen with X-Factor, going to confront Mephisto during the “Hell on Earth War“. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #255.

Mimic (Calvin Rankin): Still actively powered. His status as a mutant is disputed, as to if he’s an altered human, or a mutant who had a latent X-Gene activated by chemicals, to this day. Mimic apparently still has the powers of the original 5 X-Men, as well as the ability to copy the powers of others near him. He was last seen leaving the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #275.

Mindblast (Danielle Forte): Retained her telekinetic powers after M-Day. Was last seen attempting to join Hammerhead’s criminal resistance to the SHRA during Civil War before being captured by agents of SHIELD. Last Appearance: Civil War: War Crimes #1.

Mindmeld (???): Current status unknown after M-Day. The apparently androgynous (referred to as a she, despite appearing male) Mindmeld was one of Shinobi Shaw’s hired bodyguards, and has not been seen since Shinobi’s disappearance. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #68.

Mindworm (William Turner): Deceased. Mindworm was a foe of Spider-Man who had the power to absorb the mental energy of others until it killed them. He was killed when he was murdered by a gang of street thugs. Last Appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man (vol. 2) #22.

Miss Murphy (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Miss Murphy was a mutant woman mentioned as having discovered she was a mutant when she laid a hundred eggs during a clarinet recital. Last Mentioned: New X-Men (vol. 1) #116.

Miss Saccharine (???): Status Unknown after M-Day. Miss Saccharine was a member of the London Morlocks with the power to sweat a sugary substance, and has not been seen since the X-Men helped save her and her friends, who were being stalked by the mutant hunter, Mr. Clean. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #398.

Miss Sinister (Claudine Renko): Exact source of powers unclear at this time. While Miss Sinister seems to be either a clone of Nathaniel Essex with a XX chromosome, or if his mind and telepathic abilities have been imparted upon another mutant has yet to be determined. All that is certain at this time, is that Miss Sinister has some connection to Mr. Sinister. She was last seen knocked unconscious after a self-destruct device went off in one of Mr. Sinister’s lab’s where she was battling X-23 and Gambit. Last Appearance: X-23 (vol. 2) #6.

Missy ???: Current status unknown after the Decimation. Missy was a large, four-armed Morlock who was last seen battling Ghost Rider after mistaking him for one of Masque's Morlock crew. She may have drowned in the flooding of the Morlock tunnels, or been depowered on M-Day. Last Appearance: Ghost Rider (vol. 3) #8.

Mist Mistress (???): Her powers were lost in the Decimation. Mist Mistress had her power loss confirmed when her energy signature is listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: Captain America (vol. 1) #368.

Mister Density (Gus Yaccarino): Deceased. Mr. Density was a super-strong mutant foe of Fight-Man who was killed in a van explosion while doing battle with him. Last Appearance: Agent X #11.

Mister Immortal (Craig Hollis): Retained his power to have evolved past death itself after M-Day. Currently registered with the government per SHRA and is the acting leader of the Great Lakes Initiative Team. He has not had a romantic interest since the death of his longtime love, Dinah Saur. He was last seen battling against the Asbestos Man (sort of). Last Appearance: Fear Itself: The Home Front #6.

Mister Marvel (Mark Hawkins): Depowered due to Decimation. Mark Hawkins had the power to imagine himself in a fantasy world where he was one of the mightiest heroes, if not the mightiest. On M-Day, he lost his powers, and thus his great fantasy was gone, giving him a big reality check. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 2) #13.

Mister One (???): Deceased. The roughly one inch tall Mister One could control the eight-foot tall Mister Two. Died in a battle with Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants/Mutant Force. Last Appearance: Magneto (vol. 1) #1.

Mister Punch (Jimmy Damiano): Deceased. Mister Punch had the power to not feel pain, and absorbed the blast of a grenade, sacrificing himself to save Shaky Newman. Last Appearance: District X #6.

Mister Sinister (Nathaniel Essex): Not a mutant, per se, but a human mutate, granted his powers by Apocalypse back in Victorian England. Mr. Sinister had his body killed when it was absorbed by Rogue while the heroine was affected with Strain 88 during “Messiah CompleX”, but had plans in place to be resurrected. Mister Sinister tried to inhabit the body and mind of Professor Xavier, but was defeated by him on the Astral Plane in X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #214, leading many to believe he was finally deceased in both body, and psyche. However, his consciousness was shown to have reformed in the body of a cloned girl named Alice, confirming his latest “resurrection” in X-23 (vol. 2) #6. He was last seen in Latveria, acquiring a sample of Loki‘s DNA. Last Appearance: A + X #5.

Mister Two (???): Deceased. The eight foot tall powerhouse known as Mister Two was killed in battle with Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants/Mutant Force. Last Appearance: Magneto (vol. 1) #1 #1.

Mister X (???): Retained his powers after the Decimation. Mister X was a low-level telepath and martial artist who used his powers to determine what an opponent’s moves were before they made them. He was last seen murdering his former martial arts opponent, Mr. Y. Last Appearance: Deadpool Team-Up #891.

Miz Tree (Makiko Morioka): Possibly Deceased. Miz Tree had the power to control plants, and was possibly killed while trying to save Henrietta Hunter by an acid blast from the Anarchist. Last Appearance: X-Statix #14.

Mole (???): Deceased. Mole was one of the New York City Morlocks, and was killed by Sabertooth during the “Mutant Massacre”. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #53.

Mondo (???): His status is unknown after M-Day. Oddly, nobody even ever bothered to learn the mysterious Samoan mutant’s real name. The version of Mondo that joined Generation X was a simulacrum created by Black Tom Cassidy that infiltrated the school, and was destroyed in Generation X #25. Later, what apparently was the real Mondo accompanied Black Tom and Juggernaut in an attack on the students, claiming he had never met them before. Last Appearance: Generation X #61.

Monitor (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Monitor had the mutant power to sense, and monitor brain wave patterns. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #35.

Monroe, Jennifer "Jenny": Deceased. Status as a mutant unconfirmed. Jenny was the daughter of Flashback who also possessed her father's ability to produce time-displaced duplicates of herself who was killed as a member of Team Gray while raiding a Hydra stronghold. Last appearance: Secret Warriors #24.

Monroe, Malcolm: Deceased. Status as a mutant unconfirmed. Malcolm was the son of Flashback who also possessed his father's ability to produce time-displaced duplicates of himself who was killed as a member of Team Gray while raiding a Hydra stronghold. Last appearance: Secret Warriors #24.

Monsoon (Aloba Dastoor): Depowered on M-Day. Monsoon was a weather manipulator whose power loss is confirmed when his energy signature is listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #100.

Monte (???): Current status unknown after M-Day. Possibly deceased. Monte was one of the Morlocks who had reptilian features, and the ability to generate bio-electric charges. It is believed he may have drowned in the flooding of the Morlock Tunnels, and even if he survived that, he was likely depowered on M-Day. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #292.

Montgomery, David: Current status unknown after M-Day. David Montgomery was a precognitive mutant whose identity was threatened to be leaked to the media by his father's rival, Curtis Boland. He was last seen predicting Deadpool's misfortune at the hands of the Black Swan. Last Appearance: Deadpool (vol. 1) #68.

Montoya, Serafina: Deceased. Serafina Montoya‘s photo was seen on a website dedicated to mutant hatred, celebrating her murder. Her powers were never established, if she had any. Last Appearance: X-Treme X-Men #37.

Moonstar (Danielle “Dani” Moonstar aka Psyche aka Mirage): Depowered after M-Day. Dani lost her power to create psionic illusions on M-Day as well as her animal empathy, however, has regained her Valkyrie powers in some form of arrangement with the Norse death goddess, Hela. Her current romantic interest is Nate Grey. She was last seen preparing to battle the Doom Maidens. Last Appearance: Fearless Defenders #4.

Mortis (Lois London aka Rose Blossom aka Lois Brown): Retained her powers after the Decimation. Lois London, the half-sister of Dazzler, has the ability to produce destructive energy from her hands that can disintegrate organic matter, or cause inorganic matter to have their life-energies decreased to cause pain, weakness, or even death. She became one of Selene’s followers, and was last seen sedated in the X-Men‘s medical bay, after being rescued/defeated by Dazzler. Last Appearance: Dazzler (vol. 2) #1.

Mother Inferior (???): Deceased. Mother Inferior was a Morlock with the power to communicate with rats and vermin who died when trapped under debris while battling Spider-Man. Last Appearance: Web of Spider-Man (vol. 1) #77.

Mountjoy (Mountebank): Retained his powers after the Decimation. Mountjoy is a mutant from the same alternate future as the X-Man, Bishop. Pako (Cirilo Crisologo): Deceased. Pako was a treelike student of Academy X whose gravestone was later seen in the wake of Xorn’s attack on the school. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 1) #117.

Pale Flower (Shirohana): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Shirohana is a Japanese mutant with some unknown extra-sensory awareness ability. She is the daughter of a Yakuza chief who was killed by Wolverine and the oyabun of the Double Jade Clan. She was last seen being told by Wolverine that he would return to see her, after she aided him while he was in Japan. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 2) #109.

Paradigm (???): Deceased. Retained his powers after the Decimation. Paradigm was a human mutant afflicted with Phalanx techno-organic matter. He was a member of King Bedlam’s Hellions, and was last seen as only a head, forced to operate a spaceship delivering Bio-Sentinels to attack the X-Men. In the wake of that attack, Cyclops used his optic blasts to mercy-kill him. Last Appearance: Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #34.

Paradise (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Paradise was a number of the mutants who battled Storm during “The Arena”. Her touch would cause ecstasy to any person she had skin contact with. Last Appearance: X-Treme X-Men #39.

Paralyzer (Randall Darby aka Shocker II): Lost his powers on M-Day. A former member of the Brotherhood, Paralyzer’s power loss is confirmed when his energy signature is listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: Excalibur (vol. 3) #5.

Pasco (???): Deceased. Depowered on M-Day, losing his ability to generate forcefields. At the time, he has working with Sabertooth on a mercenary job in Peru, and shortly after losing them, he encountered the Children of the Vault. Sangre set him on fire while he was holding incendiary devices, completely blowing him up. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #191.

Paterson, Gary: Deceased. Died on M-Day while he was underwater, using his aquatic powers and drowned. Last Appearance: Generation M #1.

Pathway (Laura Dean): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Pathway was a teleporter, and a member of Alpha Flight. She was last seen celebrating a victory by the Canadian Flight programs over the Dreamqueen. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 1) #130.

Patrofsky, Nathan: Deceased. This mutant presumably lost his powers on M-Day, then was gravely injured in Arcade's destruction of Mutant Town. Unfortunately, in spite of Jaime Madrox’s attempts to save him, he died when his lungs collapsed in the ambulance taking him to the hospital. Last appearance: X-Factor (vol. 3) #32.

Paula ???: Depowered by the Decimation. Paula was a citizen of Mutant Town who used to have the power to stimulate the pleasure centers of the brain and make people laugh prior to M-Day. After it, she still tried to be a stand-up comic, honestly, with little luck. She was last seen being saved from the burning wreckage of her comedy club by Siryn. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 3) #31.

Pavane (???): Status unknown after the Decimation. Pavane had the power to create energy blasts of an unknown origin, led the Circle of Pavane, a group of Transian mutants consisting of himself and his three children, who battled the Avengers. Last Appearance: Avengers (vol. 1) #377.

Payton, Ellison: Current status unknown after the Decimation. Ellison Payton was a mutant who could gain precognitive knowledge of numbers, which he would use to get rich on the stock market. He was last seen having his energy drained by Sauron. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #354.

Payge, Reeva: Current status unknown after the Decimation. Payge was a member of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club during Shinobi Shaw’s time as Black King of the New York Branch. She was never confirmed as a mutant, but it was highly implied. If so, it is unknown if she would have retained any powers on M-Day. Last Appearance: X-Men Annual (vol. 2) #3.

Peace Monger (Dr. Talmadge Cobbleskill): Current status unknown after M-Day. Peace Monger was a villain who had the ability to absorb hatred and use it to increase his own strength and size. He was often a foe of American Eagle, and was last seen battling U.S. Agent. Last Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 1) #27.

Peepers: (Peter Quinn aka Occult): Deceased. Peepers had retained his powers after the Decimation, and was one of the 198 mutants staying at the Xavier Institute for a time. He was killed and eaten by Predator X after a car crash where he hit a deer. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 3) #26.

Roland was a Wall Street trader unaware of his mutant ability of persuasion until his abduction and brainwashing by the Kingpin into working for his criminal organization. Persuasion (Kara Kilgrave aka Purple Girl aka Purple Woman): Retained her power of domination through pheromones and vocal commands after M-Day. She was last seen in Canada, as Alpha Flight amplified her powers to reverse the Master’s Unity process. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 4) #8.

Pester (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Possibly deceased. Pester was one of the New York City Morlocks, and had the powers of advanced agility, reflexes, and vision. Pestilence II (F.R. Crozier): Pestilence II was not a mutant, but a magic-based mutate, and foe of Alpha Flight. He was last seen being sucked inside of Shaman’s Medicine Pouch. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 1) #71.

Peter ???: Deceased. Peter was a young mutant whose mutant power to create explosions was too unstable, when he first developed it. He died in an explosion he created, against his will, in front of Northstar. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #414.

Petra (???): Deceased. Petra died fighting a lava monster on the living island Krakoa (revealed in “X-Men: Deadly Genesis”). Her last act, using her terrakinetic powers was to bury Vulcan and Darwin alive for their own safety. Last appearance: X-Men: Deadly Genesis #4.

Petri, Nemesio: Deceased. This precognitive mutant artist was killed by the mutant serial killer dubbed “The Worm” in the New York underground. Last Appearance: District X #12.

Petrie, Derek: Depowered by the Decimation. Derek Petrie was a mutant with unspecified powers, who, after losing them on M-Day, would eventually end up becoming one of Albion's Shadow Captains. He was last seen being possessed by Nocturne. Last Appearance: New Excalibur #21.

Petrokova, Marlena: Deceased. This telepathic mutant was working as a fortune teller when she was killed by Sabretooth when he was briefly working for the Hound program. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #138.

Pettine, Vincent: Lost his powers due to the Decimation. While Vincent‘s powers remain unclear, he was seen after M-Day in a news report, where he was believed to have become insectivorous after losing his powers, and was still trying to catch a fly with his tongue. Phantazia (Eileen Harsaw): Lost her powers due to the Decimation. Phantazia’s power loss is confirmed when his energy signature is listed among those that make up the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Also, Maria Hill notes on her extreme mental instability, noting that since she lost her powers, she just keeps muttering “House of M” to herself repeatedly while in custody. Phat (William Robert Reilly): Deceased. This member of X-Force (X-Statix) was killed when he enveloped a bomb with his fat enlargement powers, killing him. Last Appearance: X-Statix #18.

Phillips, Sir Gordon: Deceased. Sir Gordon Phillips was the Lord Imperial of the Hellfire Club for many years, and was actually unaware of his status as a mutant until Mystique unleashed a version of the Legacy Virus that would only affect baseline humans, and it had no effect on him. Phillips, however, would have his neck snapped by Sabretooth before the nature of his mutant powers could be revealed. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #388.

Phisherman (aka Phishy McPhish aka ???): Believed Deceased. Phishy was a member of X’s Brotherhood with undisclosed powers who was present at the time most of the members were slain by X-Force/X-Statix. Last Appearance: The Brotherhood #9.

Phoenix (Jean Grey aka Marvel Girl I): Currently presumably deceased, as much as anyone empowered with the Phoenix Force can be, anyway. After the events of “X-Men: Phoenix- Endsong”, Jean and the Phoenix return to the White-Hot Room, the home of the conscience of the Phoenix Force. Last romantic interest was obviously her husband, Scott, although she may have begun entertaining the possibility of becoming involved with Logan if Cyclops left her. Last Appearance: X-Men: Phoenix- Endsong #5.

Phoenix III (Rachel Grey aka Rachel Summers aka Marvel Girl II aka Revenant): Retained her powers after the Decimation. Not from the Marvel 616, per se, but a daughter of Scott Summers and Jean Grey from a future that may or may not come to pass. Her last romantic interest was the Shi’ar known as Korvus. She was last seen at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, while Legion battled against Luca Aldine. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 2) #6.

Picaro (Antonio Rey): Current status after M Day unknown. A Spanish mutant able to generate a debilitating energy field. Picaro is a member of Euroforce. Last Appearance: Gemini/Euroforce: Europa #4.

Piecemeal I (Gilbert Benson): Deceased. Piecemeal was manipulated by his mother, Harness, into being taken around the world and attempting to use his energy absorbing powers to try to collect the combined residual energies of the reality-warper, Proteus. The energy would consume Piecemeal’s body, supposedly killing him. Last Appearance: New Mutants Annual #7.

Piecemeal (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. This Genoshan citizen was last seen working as a bodyguard for the president of that nation before Magneto came to power, battling Havok and X-Factor. It is unknown if he was still in Genosha during the attack by Cassandra Nova's Sentinels. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #90.

Pierce, Donald (aka White Bishop aka White King): Believed Deceased. Still in possession of his cyborg parts, and has been enfused with a variant of the Transmode Virus by Bastion. Pierce is not a mutant, but a human cyborg and a former member of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. He was killed at Utopia when Cyclops blasted him at point blank range with his optic blasts. However, with his cybernetic implants having allowed him some amazing regenerative abilities in the past, as well as having been injected with the techno-organic virus, there is a chance that Pierce can always circumvent death. Pig (???): Deceased. Pig was a crime lord whose deformed body granted him enhanced size, strength, and agility. He was killed when Gambit used a mind-control gas to make him fall to his death. Last Appearance: Gambit (vol. 3) #7.

Pillar (???): Deceased. Pillar was a member of the Guardian Clan of Neo who could grow to colossal size, who was killed on Utopia by the Evolutionaries. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol.3) Giant-Size #1.

Pinocchio (Frank Ludlum): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Pinocchio was an Academy X student who could turn into wood. He was last seen during Beast‘s tenure as a guidance counselor. X-Men Unlimited (vol. 2) #10.

Pinpoint (Gerard Cooper): Current Status Unknown after M-Day. Pinpoint was a member of Rogue‘s student squad, known as the Advocates, who had telescopic vision. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #444.

Pipeline (Cormick Grimshaw): Current status unknown after the Decimation. He was a teleporter, and one of the Genoshan magistrates that made up the team of villains known as the Press Gang. Pipeline’s current whereabouts are unknown. Last Appearance: Magneto: Dark Seduction #4.

Piper I (???): This Piper is not a mutant, but a Savage Land Mutate created by Magneto who can control animals and dinosaurs by playing a flute. He was last seen being attacked by Deadpool in the Savage Land. Last Appearance: Cable and Deadpool #49.

Piper II (???): Deceased. Piper was one of the New York City Morlocks with the power to psionically control animals using a flute. He was killed by Scalphunter during the “Mutant Massacre”. Last Appearance : Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #211.

Piranha, Thiago: Deceased. Thiago was an electrokinetic mutant gladiator in the Brazilian version of "The Arena" who died when his head was telekinetically exploded by another gladiator, Juliana Jararaca. Last appearance: Cable (vol. 1) #105.

Pirouette (Jo Beth ???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Possibly deceased. Pirouette was a young female mutant who could spin at high speeds and fly. She was last seen in Genosha prior to Magneto’s rise to power. She was likely killed in Cassandra Nova’s Sentinel attack, and even if she survived that, she may have faced depowerment on M-Day. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #89.

Pixie II (???): Deceased. Pixie II was a member of the New York City Morlocks, and had some hypnotic powers. She was killed by the vampiric villain Blackout. Last Appearance: Ghost Rider (vol. 3) #9.

Pixie III (Megan Gwynn): Not affected by the Decimation, but has recently been given a power upgrade because of her time in Limbo. In addition to her hallucinogenic dust and wings, she now wields a Soul Dagger, similar in nature to Magik’s Soul Sword. This can disrupt magic and affect magical creatures. Pixie has also apparently learned some magic, including a teleportation spell from Magik. Her current romantic interest is Velocidad. She was last seen talking to Blindfold at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 2) #7.

Plague (??? Aka Pestilence): Deceased. Originally one of the Morlocks named Plague, she would be rescued by Apocalypse from the “Mutant Massacre” and be transformed into one of his Horsemen. She died after being knocked off her electric flying horse by Julie Power. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #25.

Plasma (Leila O’Toole): Deceased. Plasma was a female mutant who could convert cosmic radiation into force blasts. She died in a subway car explosion. Last Appearance: Moon Knight (vol. 3) #25.

Plazm (???): Deceased. Member of X-Force, X-Statix killed in the Boys-R-Us Massacre. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #116.

Polaris (Lorna Dane): Currently powered. While depowered after M-Day, Polaris was granted her powers back by the villain Apocalypse, as well as resistance to diseases to become his Horseman, Plague. Lorna somehow has noticed her powers changing from Apocalypse’s Celestial technology, and has lost her plague powers while seen further restoration of her magnetic ones. Polaris recently took a break from her on-again, off-again relationship with Havok. She was last seen in New York City, being woken up by someone attacking her with ice. Last Appearance: Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #62.

Poltergeist (Mickey Silke): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Poltergeist had the power to translate his empathic energy into telekinetic force. Last Appearance: Beauty and the Beast #4.

Polymer (Dana Holmes): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Believed depowered on M-Day. Polymer was a mutant telepath who could also produce a gooey liquid who was a student at Academy X. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 1) #126.

Poppa (???): Believed Deceased. Poppa was a mutant with powerful regenerative abilities who ran a slave ring until Magneto showed up and used his powers to vibrate the molecules of his body until he was completely torn apart past his capacity to recover. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 1) #36.

Porous (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Porous had the power to remove the moisture from any object, dehydrating it. Last Appearance: X-Treme X-Men: X-Pose #2.

Portal (Charles Little Sky): Retained his powers after the Decimation. Portal has the power to open extra-dimensional rifts to other planes of existence, and was recruited by the Initiative to work in the new A.R.M.O.R. branch of S.H.I.E.L.D., which protects the world from extra-dimensional threats. He was last seen stopping an incursion by invaders from the Marvel Zombies universe. Last Appearance: Marvel Zombies (vol. 3) #4.

Poser (???): Current status unknown after M-Day. Poser was part of a group of New York City Morlocks who had the power to duplicate the powers of any mutant she had ever come in contact with. She was last seen being rescued by Wolverine and Beast. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 1) #900.

Possessor (Raphael Zoran): Deceased. Raphael is the son of the Great Zoran and foe of Daimon Hellstrom. Raphael’s mutant abilities included telepathy, illusion casting and influencing the thoughts of others. He later absorbed the powers of demons granting him the additional magical abilities of teleportation, fire projection, mutation of others, absorption of bodies and souls and access to magical portals but had little control over these abilities. While attempting to take over the realm of Hell he was killed when Hellstrom allowed his dark soul to emerge within Raphael consuming him from the inside out causing him to burst into flames and explode. Last Appearance: Son of Satan #3.

Post (Kevin Tremain): Deceased. Post was one of Onslaught’s emissaries, and would die when burned alive by Pyro while attempting to kill Senator Robert Kelly. Last Appearance: Cable (vol. 2) #87.

Posterboy (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Posterboy was last seen as one of the mutants battling Storm in “The Arena”. Last Appearance: X-Treme X-Men #39.

Postman (David ???): Lost his powers with the Decimation. As one of the Chicago area Morlocks, Postman had the power to erase memories in people. Primal (Adam Berman): Current status unknown after M-Day. Primal had the power to transform into a human/lizard hybrid. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 1) #16.

Primal II (Teon Macik): Developed mutant powers after the Decimation. Teon is one of the “Five Lights”, and is feral mutant who operates on a predominantly instinctive level. He was last seen at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Last Appearance: Wolverine and the X-Men #15.

Primate (???): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Primate may have been a mutant, or a Savage Land Mutate. He had an appearance similar to a neanderthal, and enhanced physical abilities. He was last seen being left to live in the Savage Land by Alpha Flight. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 1) Annual #2.

Princess Powerful (Molly Hayes aka Bruiser): Retained her enhanced strength powers after M-Day. She was last seen at Avengers Academy, playing with Tigra’s son. Last Appearance: Avengers Academy #28.

Prism (Robbie ???): Technically Deceased. As one of Mr. Sinister’s Marauders, Prism often escapes death through being repeatedly cloned upon his physical death. Prism retained his powers after M-Day, and is a member of Mister Sinister’s Marauders team. However, in the initial rush to recover the new mutant birth, both the Marauders and Purifiers arrived in Cooperstown, Alaska at about the same time. It is unknown at this time what killed Prism, but his body may have been scavenged after the fact by Predator X in X-Men: Messiah Complex #1. He turned up again as part of a team of Marauders to attack the X-Men in New York City in Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #48, presumably after being cloned yet again by Mr. Sinister. He was last seen as he lay dead in a warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Last Appearance: Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #50.

Prodigal (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Possibly deceased. Prodigal was able to increase his size and durability, as well as send out anti-magnetic waves that would make objects rust. He was last seen in Genosha prior to Magneto’s rise to power. Prodigy II (David Alleyne): Depowered as of M-Day. However, the Stepford Cuckoos have recently given David access to all the knowledge he had used his powers to “borrow” prior to losing his powers. His last relationship was his teammate, Surge. He was last seen being teleported away from Avengers Academy by Pixie. Last Appearance: Avengers Academy #31.

Professor X (Charles Francis Xavier): Deceased. He was last seen in possession of his telepathic powers. After M-Day, Charles Xavier was stripped of his powers of telepathy by Scarlet Witch’s hex magic. However, regained them in the Uncanny X-Men storyarc “The Rise and Fall of the Shi’ar Empire” when he was put inside the M’Kraan Crystal by Vulcan. He has gained the mistrust of many of his most loyal students through the past few years, but remains a member of Marvel Universe’s Illuminati. He was killed by Cyclops while he was possessed by the Phoenix Force. Last Appearance: A v X #11.

Profile (???): Retained his power to instantly observe someone, and based off their actions, determine their past, and future, after M-Day. He was last seen profiling individuals on behalf of Moon Knight. Last Appearance: Vengeance of Moon Knight #4.

Projector (Zachary Williams): Retained his power to generate force fields after M-Day. He was one of the Acolytes operating in a unit separate from Exodus and was defeated along with Vindaloo by Wolverine and Colossus, finally giving information up to the X-Men when threatened with Wolverine’s claws. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #492.

Proteus (Kevin MacTaggart): Technically Deceased. The son of Moira MacTaggart was a powerful reality-warping mutant, who died when Colossus punched him through his heart in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #128. While he was briefly resurrected by the mutant Piecemeal, he decided to again disappear, knowing he would not find happiness in New Mutants (vol. 1) Annual #7. However, he turned up alive on Muir Island in X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #231, carried over from the realm of the dead by the resurrection of Destiny, by Selene. He was last seen having his energy signature changed by Magneto, effectively killing him, at least for now. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #233.

Proton (Geldoff???): Deceased. Status of powers unknown, possibly a mutant. Originally a character created for the Ultimate Marvel universe, Geldoff was a pyrokinetic who recently had his Marvel-616 counterpart appear as an Initiative recruit at Camp Hammond. He was last seen apparently having his neck snapped while in battle with the Skrull Invasion fleet. Last Appearance: Secret Invasion #3.

Protozoa (Linus Sinker): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Believed depowered on M-Day.
