okay...so...yeah...
Im excited for this.
POWER GIRL'S BOOB WINDOW BETTER STILL BE THERE!
Despite my dislike for the new DC Logo, I'm game for this series as it's going to sound like fun.![]()
Still gonna get this but I don't trust Levitz at all, especially after this interview. It's clear that he does'nt get Power Girl's personality or at least not the personality that made her popular.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
I want to read this now!
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.
There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.
Confirmation that there was an Earth-2 Batman? Not sure how I feel about this yet.The combination of her strength as a character and the intriguing overlay of what it might have been like to be brought up by two people as interesting and complex as Batman and Catwoman
More fuel to the theory that they were the Superwoman and Batwoman from Earth-2. This I'm sure I don't like. I prefer when legacy characters have their own unique identities, hopefully they'll stay as PG and Huntress.Ah, you'll need to read the stories for that. They had totally different identities on Earth-2 -- remember, this is a new DC Universe, so it's a new Earth-2. There wasn't a Huntress or Power Girl on this Earth-2, so it would have been a very different series!
Top 3: Batman, Wonder Woman, X-force
Dude believe me, I'm far from a whining fanboy and I in fact appreciate change.
The problem is that Paul Levitz it's a really bland writer with no sense of humor whatsoever and my biggest concern is that he will make this work and Karen as dull as his Huntress.
But I guess that beggars can't be choosers, so as I said, still gonna get this.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
With Levitz attached I'm leery of even trying this
Child Of The Atom Smasher
This could be a more light-hearted BoP in terms of tone, I'd be fine with that![]()
I hope they kick as much ass as Black Canary, Starling and co.
Top 3: Batman, Wonder Woman, X-force
The part about them not having been PG and Huntress on E-2 threw me. Not sure how I feel about that yet. I'd prefer that this E-2 we're getting not be completely unrecognisable. Levitz is a good writer though so he should be able to work with the instructions he's been given. But I hope not too much has changed, mess with it too much and the interest really will start to wane.
No hugs, only RAGE
I'm more intrigued about Helena Wayne and her impact on batman and catwoman (which are my favourite titles right now), I can't wait to read this.
Books im reading: Batman, Catwoman, Animal Man, JLA, Wonder Woman, Red Hood, Journey into Mystery, Sword of Sorcery.......
If it wasn't for the name written underneath the logo (not usually necessary), it would be piss poor advertising. Can't make heads nor tails of the Toilet Seat with Cover.
I've been following the Legion for 45 years though and trust Paul Levitz. Hope he makes it as cool as the 31st century.
I have to disagree. Paul Levitz was one of Power Girl's very first writers and he did a great job with her back when she debuted. He and Gerry Conway wrote for us a brash, self-confidant, powerful young woman with a glib tongue and she's continued to be that way every since. Whether it's taken to either extreme (angry-PG or sarcastic-PG) her core character remains. The book will not be as humorous as PG's own title series, but so what? WF may not be a fully humorous book, but it'll be exciting and action-packed with a solid plot and good characterisation. The current Huntress mini is great and if that's any indication as to what's to come, I will be very happy indeed.
No hugs, only RAGE
I liked the Huntress mini (although I'm not sure how much of that was due to the writing vs. the art, which I -really- liked), and like PG, so I'll be checking this out.
I am not a huge fan of all the different earths though, and wish DC was not bringing back earth-2. Even though it's canon, its usage inevitably makes the comics involved feel like 'elsewhere' or 'what if?' stories, which detracts from my enjoyment.
