Default CBR: Bendis Prepares the Return of "Takio"

Last year Brian Bendis and Mike Oeming introduced readers to a pair of super powered sisters in their all-ages OGN "Takio." Bendis spoke to CBR about their return in a new series this spring.

I applaud Bendis for his dedication to all ages books like this.

Bring it on. Very pro all-ages comics right now and they are something I'm going to be making a big effort to support starting this year. I want there to be books our kid can read and I can read and we can both enjoy together and share.
Reading this week: The Unwritten: On to Genesis, Hellblazer: Scab, Mountaingirl collection

I wish they weren't peddling it as a miniseries beforehand - I honestly don't see it getting that much more in the way of buyers than it would as an OGN anyway; That said, I'm glad they're still forging ahead with this project. I really enjoyed the last one and so did my girlfriend's younger sister, so I'm glad to see a second volume coming in any format.

Now THIS was a good all ages book. Loved the heart and soul Bendis and Oeming put into it, and the way they were inspired by their own families. Can't wait for the next one.

Cool, I gave the first one to my friend's daughter and she really dug it.

I found the comment about putting the solicits for 'Takio' and 'Powers' together at the same time amusing, since apparently the only 'Powers' that has been released for the last year are the solicits. (<- grumpy about lack of 'Powers')

I can't wait to read the first issue later this year and the rest of the issues in 2014.
