I didn't like the last issue that focused on Orion Pax. I was really fine without having Optimus in the story for awhile, and his return so soon seemed forced. I didn't really think much of the Wheelie or Hardhead Spotlight issues, so there just wasn't a lot storywise to grab me. The artwork was so muddy what story was there was confusing to follow. His art hampered Autocracy quite a lot as well. I know Hasbro wants them to keep OP around, but I buy this comic for the political struggles back on Cybertron. This might have been a better month to have released the RID Annual, so we at least still had that monthly dose of the book's main story.

I might just skip this one, or pick it up later on a 99 cent sale.

The latest issue of Robots in Disguise is one of those books you have to re-read about 3 or 4 times to fully understand the story John Barber and Livio Ramondelli are presenting us.

I do like that they were trying to resolve a few inconsistencies within the IDW Transformers universe, and that they went beyond just giving us a quick ret-con, or an off handed comment about the Reflector Trio and Wheelie being missing for a few millenia.

I can't help but feel though, that this Orion Pax story thread would work better as a mini-series, rather than a recurring plot point in a series that is already chock full of an assortment of characters and their own growth and development.

As Orion Pax's story depends heavily on developments in RiD, and is setting up the second year for the book, I strongly disagree.

Besides, IDW wants to avoid doing many minis as they don't sell very well and these two parts might be it before the two stories come together.

Who else has read Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #10.

Another brilliant issue brought to us by Roberts and Milne.

I hope we get to see more of the the character Trepan.

I am glad we are getting to see more of the shared history between Chromedome and Prowl. It certainly adds some weight to their scene back in issue #1.

So I wonder who else will join Orion Pax's crew.

Once Shadowplay is finished, you should re-read the pre-war stories in chronological order (Chaos Theory, Shadowplay, Megatron: Origin and Autocracy). I can't help but notice, how conspicuously absent Orion was during Megatron's ascent from miner to pit fighter to figure-head of the Decepticon movement. But I am guessing he was making some moves in the background, as Whirl doesn't spend much time in Garrus-1 prison. If you go back and check the Megatron: Origon series, Whirl is part of Sentinal Prime's security force, sitting at the back of the briefing room with Roadbuster and Blades.

Someone help me out here. I've been reading Regeneration-One and really digging it. To the point that I've become interested in IDW's other Transformers titles. In particular The Last Stand of the Wreckers, which I've heard is pretty good. But I'm curious where it fits in with the rest of the IDW Transformers line, and if its a good standalone story in its own right. Also I'd like to start reading More Then Meet's the Eye, maybe. Depending on how to get there from there.

So yeah kinda looking for a road map here.

    http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Last_Stand_of_the_Wreckers
The Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers is a 5-issue limited series published by IDW Publishing in 2010 set in the main IDW continuity.
It follows the re-assembly of the Wreckers team after the events of All Hail Megatron maxiseries, among other things.
The premise of the series was generated editorially. Nick Roche asked to do art for the series, only finding out later that he would also be writing the series. James Roberts is his co-writer, but only started being credited for the script from #2 (though he did #1's Rotorstorm profile). The prolific Josh Burcham provides the colors. Incentive covers were provided by Trevor Hutchison.
KP: "...and obviously, we've got Wreckers."
    NR: "Wot?"
KP: "Wreckers... no? Um, a bunch of guys..."
NR: "Great balls, I'm supposed to be [expletive deleted] writing and drawing that!"
Nick Roche suddenly realizes the enormity of his looming workload in the midst of an August 2009 interview

Some great issues, no doubt. I was certain Roller was gonna bite it, but I sure as hell didn't see the Senator bit coming. Hope that gets addressed down the line somewhere

Fabulous, awesome issue of MTMTE. The last page was a real gut-punch.
