Sort of expected it to have the new logo rather than the current one.

Bravo DC. For offering up new content and using it as a chance to bring attention to several diverse titles.

Beats just reprinting some random issue from last year that just ties into one storyline like Marvel are doing.

I've got to wonder the logic in having Jim Lee do extra pages when both JL 5 and 6 are getting delayed. I mean, if he had them done already, cool, whatever, but giving him extra work now when he's only going to have two months lead in time for the next arc of Justice League? Eeeeeeh, thats risky.

You think he's going to come on for another JL arc?

Haha, no way. He'll be doing an issue or two here and there, whatever DC says. Look at his schedule and timeliness, it's impossible for him to do another 6 issue arc.

Already been confirmed by both Johns and Lee that he'll be back for #9 starting "The Villain's Journey" arc. Is it going to be six issues? Doubtful.

Are you assuming that because JL #5 was delayed that #6 will also be or is there actual confirmation.

#6 has been pushed back to the 5th wednesday of February instead of the 3rd, where is normally would be.

Yeah, I'm sure the current plan is for him to be back.

I'll bet that he doesn't have more than an a two issue stay on the book, consecutively, and that it was 'all part of the plan'.

"Jim was always meant to do the lead in, etc".

I don't care, I'm not hating. I don't really love or hate Jim Lee's art, so it's no big loss either way for me. I just don't think it's likely that he'll be able to do any extended run on the book, and that is okay with me.

Lots of other appropriate artists for the 'actiony' tone of the book. Ivan Reis if you want to go one way, for instance, or David Finch if you want to keep up that imagey vibe.

Actually, they've change it back to week 3 in February. They probably saw that the people on the net saw the delay and changed it. It'll still come out in February.

    *squint*

LAST year, Marvel produced new content, and DC did a reprint. A reprint of a single part of a multi-part story. That was three years old. Purely intended to tie-in to a film. At least Marvel's reprint this year was a one-shot issue that's tying in to *other comics*.

Yeah but Geoff Johns and Jim Lee combined are a big selling point of the book, and DC knows that, evident in the fact that they've delayed the book twice now, where I guarantee you any other book they'd just slap some fill in art on given their comments during the summer about scheduling and what not.

Yeah, they'll do their best to get as many issues out of him as they can, but "JL" and "Geoff Johns" + "fan favorite artist" is still probably enough of a selling point that they aren't going to delay the book for months and lose revenue, especially since timeliness is such a big factor.
