Supreme is going to be amazing. Trust me on that one.

I'll honestly say that my interest in Supreme is rooted primarily in Alan Moore's run (and I am sorry it ends on a cliffhanger, even if that was his intent), but from what I've seen from Erik's work on various classic Marvel books--and his deliberately doing homages to their classic style (especially Fantastic Four: The World's Greatest Comics Magazine, but also his Defenders run with Kurt Busiek)--then I could see this working very well. (I didn't like the pre-Alan Moore era at all.) The whole meta/homage/retro approach is precisely what I like. (And I am missing the "classic" approach in a lot of DC's current universe, alas. I miss Diana, and I fear for poor Billy Batson...) Fingers crossed!

I'm excited to read SUPREME, even if I've never picked up an issue before. Larsen seems pumped about the reboot and I've enjoyed his work in the past. I also liked reading his take on current events within the comic book world - good insight from a 20+ vet of comics. ~ Hype

I loved Alan Moore's Supreme. I think Erik will do a great job finishing Moore's run while going off in his own direction. I agree with Chastmastr that Erik does an excellent job creating comics in the "classic style"...

I couldn't help but feel bad for Alan Moore, seemed like Larsen was giving him a hard time about his panel descriptions. Granted, they probably were super hard to draw but seemed like he was a bit punky haha

I doubt he was dissing Moore. He just explaining his scripts are challenging to draw. Erik generally works from his own loose plots so working from a super detailed and wordy Alan Moore is out of his comfort zone.

I'm a big, big, Supreme fan--in his Alan Moore evolution, at least. I fondly call those issues "the best Superman comics without Superman in them," because to me they perfectly evoke the weird and fantastic Super-universe of the Silver Age.

And I respect Erik Larsen a lot for his stick-to-it-iveness and endless creativity with Savage Dragon.

So I'm very, very eager for more Supreme, and at that, Erik Larsen Supreme.

My one quibble, and I'm quite aware that this matters to no one but me, is that I would like Erik to let someone else ink his drawings, because I think his own line is too thin and sketchy. I'd like to see someone with a more varied, occasionally heavier line, to give the figures more weight and three-dimensionality. But that's just my idea, and not nearly so important as the fact that we'll soon, finally, be getting MORE SUPREME!!

I think on Supreme he's just doing layouts and roughs and Cory Hamscher (sp?) is doing the finishes.

Cory Hamscher is drawing Supreme just as much and more the Erik.

Erik is just doing layouts while Cory is finishing and inking it.

Great to know. But now I'll have to look up Cory Hamscher, with whom I'm unfamiliar, and see if I like they way HE's inked!

Oh, and I wonder: will it ever be a possibility that we'll see both Supreme and Suprema in their Alex Ross-designed costumes? I think those are way better than their original costume designs.

Cory is the man! And he inks himself. His work has a Larsen-vibe to it, but with a nod to Art Adams, I think. Anyhow, his work won't disappoint.

The Moore script really is dense. It's almost a chore to read let alone interpret into a comic like Erik had to do. The Moore run IS a fantastic read though. And Erik's enthusiasm for the book is infectious. His comments have gotten me even more excited about it.

Also, the pencils I've seen so far on Twitter and other places is insane. Pre-Moore and Moore Supreme fans should dig it.
