I've read the first two books, started the third, and dropped it. That was years ago, but I guess that gives me sufficient familiarity with it for the thread.

Okay, so turns out when my HEMA teacher said he was on sick leave, he did not mean sick as in the "down with a bad cold" sense but rather in the "down with a crippling depression" sense.

So, it may be a while before he's back in the game.
