So am I to an extent but I am prepared to be let down. We might have received an awesome fight if Yost was writing it....maybe even Hickman. But, I think I read somewhere that Bendis and/or Fraction are writing her fight with Thor.They seem to think all Storm can do is toss lightning, and has no control over, moisture, air or temperature, or that she has used her powers far more creatively than Tho, or that she is one of hte most skilled tacticians and strategists on the X-Men. And she is fighting Thor of all people....one of Marvel's current golden boys and cash cows. Lol.....I know I sound bitter but Marvel has done nothing recently to make me believe they will do right by Storm in the event. They had Thing "defeating" Namor underwater, brifly pinned by some fish teeth, and Cap withstanding Cyclop's optic blasts and walking up to him and taking him down in AvX.

We know what Storm has done but they had Valkyrie outsmarting and defeating her...which is complete PIS. We Storm fans will likely get screwed in this AvX fight.

Great more drooling on the floor or missing with lightning attacks....yeah this event is already starting to stink.

I agree with all of the above--but that's what happens when chief editors allow writers to throw continuity out the window. This has been going on ever since it was "established" that Wolverine could survive a direct hit from a nuke, and Storm had sex at 12....

Yeah I saw that. She hasn't been on the Avengers for very long but I was surprised and happy to see that she ranked . I think it is a testament to her popularity.

I actually think it's kinda ridiculous. I haven't seen that list, nor do I intend to, but the Avengers have been around for decades. Surely they have 50 members who've been more significant on the team than Storm has. She's been nothing but a joke as an Avenger and I say that as someone whose favorite comic character is Storm. It'd be like Carol Danvers ranking on a list of 50 best X-men. Just silly.
