Thanks. And I like the idea of her being peacekeeper as well, and that is more fitting for her overall. While she is not and has not been aligned with Scott's way of thinking she still regarded him as a friend and remained objective. Her knocking some sense into Logan and Scott would be amazing to see. I really want her to have a niche carved out for her that contends with these guys. When I thiunk of Storm, I more often than not compare her to Scott, Wolverine, Captain America, Nick Fury, etc., since she is the only female in Marvel that I think is a true contender as leader among leaders, and not just a leader among other strong women. I felt that Wood recognized this when he wrote her in his previous run.

I do the same, comparing her to other leader figures; and up until recent years, she was spearheading her own thing. I think in reality, this is the main thing that's been missing from the character; and why her lack of importance seems more elevated now that she really hasn't been involved with her own set of ideas with the mutant cause until Wood's previous run. I am hoping he takes this route with his approach for this series as well. She's been needing her own faction of X-men and her own set of leadership goals for awhile now. I think she works best and shines the most when she is in this position. I also think with her being middleground with both Wolverine and Cyclops' factions, she may can help incorporate alternate perspectives on certain situations. Especially when the other teams strongly disagree on something. I don't so much as want her to play peacekeeper, but be more involved with the decisions of both teams; as more of a separate but trustworthy alternate source. Peacekeeper would be good for her to play as well in that role though in certain situations.

What do you think of the Fearless Defender's 5 variant? I obviously love the Brook's cover more, and I think she should be taller than most of the ladies here save for Shulkie and Thundra, but I like the way her new costume looks here. It makes her stand out a lot.

I forgot Storm would appearing in this series! I love the look of the costume in the cover, but do agree that she should have been taller. I'm looking forward to hearing more about her appearance.

Ah gotcha and even better than what I thought. I'd like to see an X-treme X-Men/Uncanny XSE approach but on a bigger scale and under her complete authority and control. Her XXM team has saved the world, has saved mutants and went on to obtain international authority, and I want to see this as an even bigger operation. Storm has contacts and connection potential (i.e. - Sabra, Simeon Kurosov in the russian criminal underworld, former connection to the world governments via the UN when she ran the XSE prior to HoM, make a connection in the crime world of Cairo where she grew up, give her connection in Kenya where she was worshipped, etc.), so why not expand on these relationships to give her and her team the complete independence, exclusive network, and backing for her to run her team her own way and with a completely unique direction. Not necessarily the "dirty work" we should be getting in UXF, or the typical heroes work we have in X-Men before, but something kind of inbetween (if that makes sense). More of a unique version of SHIELD but with her own agenda as you mentioned.

In FD I believe she will be in both issues 5 + 6, and Bunn mentioned that some x-ladies may have a recurring role (at the least) in this book.

I agree with all this. Storm really does deserve more to come her way. She is BY FAR my favorite X-men leader.

Will do. Just so you know though, It's a Psylocke centered fan fiction. Storm plays a HUGE part in it though. It's a what if, Betsy had become Leader Tale. Storm and Magneto will play a role in defining my Earth 42356 Psylocke.
