Kat is a little to small to play Storm but good call, she has the Storm look to me.

Hell, sometimes she the only reason I watch Vampire Dairies....she easily the most powerful person (witch) on the show.

I thought that Zoe Saldana could be a good Storm. Kate can do justice too.

Zoe is perfection for todays Storm.
It's likely that for future x-men films people are going to be calling about the role.

NO. NO. And NOOOOOOOOO!!! Wolverine is overexposed and frankly Storm (like Jean) outgrew infatuation with bad boys in the 90's. Keep up indeed!! I thought SHE was the one who could fly on hurricane force winds!! She left that desire for hopeless causes behind along with slumber parties and writing notes to boys in glitter pen. She needs to be the boss in her rebound relationship until she finds a TRUE equal. I like the idea of the Mocha colored Hottie from Brazil Roberto DaCosta (aka Sunspot) as her boy toy for a while. The ideological differences between Wolverine and Storm make them great platonic friends, but HORRIBLE as potential lovers. Ororo needs to have a man at HER whim for a change. No waiting for some messed up former freelance merc at the window. A hunky young Brazilian worshiping at he altar IS WHAT MAMA NEEDS!!!

As far as casting goes I would not mind an unknown actress taking the role. Undiscovered talent often offers some of cinema history's best surprises. Every star was no one before they were someone. If they called a casting for young black actresses of East African decent (think a young Iman) I would be all for it. The existing choices leave me worried when Zoe Saldana (an okay actress) is the top choice we have. I am staying positive though.

I've seen the show, she is a pretty amazing actress. One of very few that I've seen who has the Storm look and acting chops to convey power and regalness. I do agree about her size though, a bit too short for the role, but I don't think I would mind it much considering Halle's height.

Zoe Saldana, is not a bad choice either but I have yet to see her do anything like Kat, but I do think she has the look and height for Storm and I think she is an exceptional actress. Definitely a good choice too.

Curiosity has risen, out of the general AvX thread.

How do the Storm fans feel about Storm and Black Panther battling during their respective searches-for-Hope in Wakanda.
Both of them will be in Wakanda, alongside their hunting parties.

Personally, I would find it a disservice to Ororo's character to attack Black Panther and vice versa.

Whether one agrees with their marriage or not (I know its a hot button for many a Storm fan) do most agree that assaulting her husband would be extreme? And the same for him attacking her?

I mean....summoning a flurry of focused air currents to subdue and/or confine Black Panther? Sure. Absolutely. Slow his ass down and keep him from going at your teammates.
And the same goes for the Panther. If he sneaks up on her and gives her a nerve pinch or something to leave her unconscious with little physical violence, I'd accept it. I certainly won't like it, but its far better than her taking a fist to the face, right?

But if these two characters resorted to physicaly assaulting one another? Boo.
I'd have a tough time wrapping my head around it, given their relationship, regardless of their superhero statuses.

    Thoughts?

They will be written which will be out of their character.

I still hope that won't happen.

It's stupid, but then so is AvX. It is MINDLESS fun. I choose to accept it within the spirit of which it has been given. An excuse for the divorce. They are both better off.
