So what was the point you were trying to make? Nothing about that scene was particularly impressive. The dialogue was clunky, it was an obvious attempt to make BP look stronger by making him punk a character who obviously outclasses him, and it's not even good storytelling. I can't tell what he is supposed to have done to Magneto off-panel. Did he break his neck? Cut him? Choke him? What happened? What exactly is that scene supposed to have done well because I don't see it?

Also, another artist who SMOKES Ottley? You're going to have to name one if you want anyone to take a statement like that seriously, and even then, it's a stretch. Also excellent? Sure. But smoke him? Considering many consider him the best in the business now, that's not a realistic statement.

This is a genuine question, not trying to be sarcastic. Who considers him the best in the business right now? I know he's really talented, and as far as Image goes, he is in the top 5 best for me, but who says he is the best? I personally like Szymon Kudranski better, but that's cause his art is perfect for Spawn.

Agreed, and stated better than I would have.

Ottley rules, he's definitely one of my top favs. Though, to throw a mild nitpick his way, I do find the way he draws teeth and open mouths to be slightly awkward at times. A lot of artists just go with the white and a few little indentation lines for teeth, but Ottley usually seems to go for hyper-detailed teeth, which doesn't always work in his favor I'd say. Ha, pretty weird nitpick I know. Still, he's an amazing artist of course, I love his style in general, and he's very versatile too. Especially great that he's been on a monthly book for so long.

LOL, I still want to know what the point of showing that BP/Magneto scene was supposed to be.

Hate to fuel the fire, but Ottley is pretty damn good. All of his sketches and art is awesome.

Ottley was also named best artist of the year for 2010 by a major comic site (I think it was Multiversity) so it's not just us fans who hold him in high regard.

Also props to Corey Walker, nobody draws a mustache like him. He's also the master of drawing Science Dog. Looking forward to Invincible 92 with both him and Ottley.

Ok, so I kind of just stumbled over to this side of CBR, but while I'm here, I might as well ask about Invincible. How good is this series? And while looking through previews I saw characters from Witchblade. Do they really share the same universe?

The first time I saw love, it was hanging from a tree.

Question 1: Best superhero comic available.

Question 2: Yes, but there aren't really crossovers, more like cameos.

I just found it hard to believe that Sara from Witchblade lived in a world with so many heroes, mostly because it's not quite touched on during her series. And then there was something about being showed dying in one of the Invincible trades that I saw a preview for on Amazon.

Nothing more needs to be said.

I think they share the same universe to the extent that the creators sometimes like to show them interacting for whatever purposes, but there's not really any significant happenings. I don't recall Witchblade or any non-Invincible character dying in the series unless it was maybe an AU version.
