I agree... When it all becomes digital thats when my pull list gets cut down to about 5 and I have the money to support the artist's directly by buying original work and commissions.

I would drop all non Image titles and from there I would support creators. Kirkman(and all Skybound), Faerber, Edmondson, Jimmie Robinson, and The Lunas. I would get Chew, Savage Dragon, and Skullkickers. Id also get minis when they came out, like Luther.

I agree. I don't really have any ill will for Euge but I don't care about him at all either. I do care a great deal for Andrea's character though.

I'd like to see Rick, Carl, Michonne, Andrea, Glen and Maggie make it. Abraham is cool, too, but on a lower tier. Everyone else is disposable for me, LOL. I wonder if we will be so lucky, though...

I'd like to see what Eugene can do in terms of making ammunition. I don't see why any has to die at the end of this arc. :P

That's the thing. Nobody is safe. Monthly readers haven't been in this dangerous of territory in four years. I like Eugene because he is undergoing the biggest change of all of the characters if you ask me. He was a little twerp lying about a radio, jerking off to Abraham and Rostita making love, and since issue 84, he has manned up. The community needs such a man.

I wonder if Rick will demand a person actually come back to the Alexandria Safety Zone to teach farming. That's what I'd do, but he won't have the leverage until they go to war...

    Carnage lies before us.

I've never heard of that person. I've never posted her before prior to last week.

If it was Euge I don't think he'd remind us about how he used to choke it while watching Abraham and Rosita. Then again Euge is guilty of far worse things that fappin it, I mean that mullet is just a sin.

I'm curious, has Kirkman ever said, "I hate thought bubbles"? I haven't re-read the earlier issues in awhile but I'm starting to notice that the titles I read these days, they don't seem to really use thought bubbles much. For example, when Rick gave Andrea peck, if it was a Claremont or Hama comic from back in the day, she'd have a lil thought bubble above her with the text, "Whats up with Rick? Is he finally coming around?". But other than noticing that, I enjoyed #96 and I liked how it ended with Rick's extremely optimistic rant. It'll be entertaining to see if things work out in the way he hopes, or if he'll end up with a serious case of the blues.

I was curious if that was the case but I didn't feel like going out and collecting 6 titles to see if that was the case. I think Larsen still uses them from time to time but if so, it would make sense since his comic kind of sticks to old school traditions. In some ways its kind of annoying because I remember comics having more text because they used the bubbles, so I had more to read.

Yeah, as a general rule you don't see thought bubbles much at all, although a lot of times narrative boxes are used to convey a character's internal monologue. Even so, they seem less topical and expository somehow, but that's more the application I think than the device itself. I don't think either would work well in The Walking Dead. It would lose its gritty cinematic feel, I think. Also, Adlard does a great job conveying emotion that I don't find them necessary.

Adlard does do a pretty good job conveying emotions but I still wouldn't mind the use of thought bubbles more often, in TWD and other titles that I read.

Speaking of TWD, a week or two back someone posted the cover to #100 and I replied by saying that the cover just had to become a poster, a large 24x36 poster.

Well it looks like I'm getting my wish..

I do not want thought bubbles in TWD. I think it's perfect as is.

Yeah, but you also don't want Daryl in the comic.. cuz you're a big party pooper... :P

I guess it wouldn't work seeing as how well, Michonne, she just likes to talk outloud even if no ones around, Andrea talks to a hat, and Rick, well his brain is spent after he goes on one of his epic rants. Well there's Eugene, he seems like a thinker but well, its probably best not to know what he's thinking about since it probably has to do with what he wants to do with Rosita. That girl is lucky that roofies probably aren't easy to come by in the land of the zombie.
