I like the way you think, I like most of your picks, kept the creative teams the same on the ones I feel are working the best, changed the ones i think need it. I hadn't considered Remender for Grifter, but he actually would be a GREAT fit. He's exclusive to Marvel though, isn't he? so sad. And the Traci 13 book with Whedon, love that.

What I'd change is remove Blackhawks from the Edge line, and repalce it with Wildcats. Dream team would be to have Joe Casey come back, with Sean Phillips. (I liked 3.0 :p)

There are a ton of these threads. But I love everyone and post in most in them, so I'll give this a whirl, as usual.

    Batman
    Batman: current team
Batman & Robin: Kyle Higgins and Finch
The Robins: Lemire and Cameron Stewart
    Blackbat & Spoiler:
    Nightwing:
Red Hood: Current team (of creators. Ditch the Outlaws)
    Batwoman: Current team
Robin: Sterling Gates and Lee Garbett

    Superman
    Action Comics: Morrisson and Quitely
    Superman
    Superboy
    Supergirl

    Justice League / DCU
    JLA
    JLI
    Green Arrow
    Speedy
    Flash
    Speed Force
    Wonder Woman
    Troia
    Deathstroke
    Legion of Superheroes
    BOP
    Power Girl

    Green Lantern
    GL
    GLC
    GL: NG

    Dark
    Animal Man
    Swamp Thing
    JLD
    Dial H
    I, Vampire

    Young Justice
    Teen Titans: Current team
    Ravager solo:
Blue Beetle: any new creative team
    Legion Lost
    Kid Flash
    Traci 13
A YJ for the many unused teen girl heroes (Miss Martian, Terra, Traci 13, Spoiler, Speedy. I know I wish for the later 3 to have books, but still)

Can't think up too many creators, and I don't care for the Edge line.
I would like to say for the record that this is the FIRST TIME I've withheld dong when someone was so desperately asking for some.

I'm a relatively new fan (brought in by DCn52) and unaware of most writers & artists, but I know of most DC characters for a long time. Can I just give my thoughts to a new 52 lineup without writer/artist requests?

Please do. Any (well, most) contribution is welcomed, and you'll probably find out more about your personal preferences of creators soon enough.

    All righty...

Well to be honest, I kind of formulated a different response to the idea of a new 52 when I first heard about it, and had written it down as I started buying into the new 52. Even though I wasn't a comics fan, I was knowledgeable about the Multiverse and thought it was a great concept. My opinion was that DC should have gone back and separated the characters into different earths instead of this unification of DC/Wildstorm/Vertigo titles. I sort of fleshed out 5 different earths, each with a unique and seperate identity than the others.

Earth-1: Basically the one with the most well known titles and characters. Green Lantern, the Batman family, the Justice League, etc... basically all the post-Silver Age DC originals. It'd start off like DCnU did, having only been active for five years.

    Aquaman
    Batman
    Batwing
    Batgirl
    Birds of Prey
    Black Bat
    Global Guardians (Guy Rayner)
    Green Arrow
    Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
Green Lantern Corps (Kyle Raynor & John Stewart)
    Justice League
    Jonah Hex
    Legion of Superheroes
    Nightwing
    Red Hood
    Secret Six
    Superman
    Supergirl
    The Flash
    Teen Titans
    Wonder Woman

Earth-2: For this, I decided on mixing together Golden Age DC (Earth-2) + Charlton Comics and Milestone Media characters. This was naturally different than Earth-1, in that there was the Golden Age from the 40s to 50s, then a decently long dryspell (excepting Captain Atom and a few others like Doctor Fate and Spectre, who I figured to holdover from the 60s till modern day due to their unique statuses), then super-heroes started building back up in numbers from the seventies till now, with the 00s/10s being home to a new generation of super-heroes. Power Girl, Blue Beetle, some of the legacies, Static Shock....

    Blue Beetle
    Booster Gold
    Captain Atom
    Doctor Fate
    Hawkman & Hawkgirl
    Icon
    Justice Society
    Manhunter
    Nightshade
    Power Girl
    Stargirl
    Static Shock
    The Question

Earth-3: Containing the characters of Fawcett and Quality Comics (plus in time characters never in those companies like the Guardian and such who would fit in with the themes) Earth-3 was going to be kind of controversial in hindsight. Basically taking the concept Earth-10/X where the Nazis won the war, and then taking it in a slightly different direction where they won thanks to Black Adam ... who pretty much turned on them and became supreme ruler of Earth, with contending powers like Mister Mind and the like in the sector. The idea was this was a world where villains were in charge and super-heroism and the like was illegal and were basically rebels (inspired by Jim Shooter's vision for Defiant Comics).

    Blackhawks
    Shazam! (Captain Marvel)
    Freedom Fighters
    Plastic Man
    Squadron of Justice
    The Guardian

Earth-4: Basically the Vertigo/Dark Earth, I had in mind, where most of the supernatural and weird teams and characters of the DCU would be.

    Animal Man
    Doom Patrol
    I, Vampire
    Resurrection Man
Sentinels of Magic (Justice League Dark)
    S.H.A.D.E
    Swamp Thing
    Xombi

Earth-5: And then finally Wildstorm's Earth. I really don't know much about Wildstorm and I wasn't too interested in their characters, so I sort of slotted them to their own universe and didn't change it much from what they did IRL.

    Gen-13
    Grifter
    Stormwatch
    Voodoo

All in all, 52 titles. My idea was separating them into multiple worlds would make them more connected with the fewer titles they had to connect with, allow less-seen titles and character fresh new runs, create somewhat unique worlds for the characters to play in once rebooted and allowing DC to run multiple crossover events directed to the fans of specific Earths (or if they follow multiple earths).

    Stupid?

I won't do 52 titles as I couldn't think of that many, but here's a few I would have liked to see:

Action Comics written by Mark Waid and Grant Morrison, drawn by Dave Bullock, based on the Superman 2000 pitch
Superman by Walt Simonson and Chris Samnee
Lex Luthor by Paul Cornell and Pete Woods
Klarion the Witch-Boy by Grant Morrison and Frazer Irving
House of Mystery (starring Frankenstein) by John Arcudi and Doug Mahnke
    Wonder Woman by Darwyn Cooke
Captain Marvel by Jeff Smith and Olivier Coipel
Aquaman by Mark Waid and Marcos Martin
    Darkseid Adventures by Walt Simonson
Detective Comics Rotating characters (Batman, Batwoman, Question, Detective Chimp, Martian Manhunter, GA Sandman, Nightrunner etc.), and writers, mainly Greg Rucka, John Ostrander and Doug Moench, art rotating between Jock and Francesco Francavilla. Short arcs, two or three issues.
Batman by Alan Moore and Sam Keith
Batwoman by Greg Rucka and JHWIII
Justice League by Mark Waid and Grant Morrison and Paolo Rivera (roster: Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, Green Arrow, The Question)
Justice League Dark by Neil Gaiman and Dean Ormston (roster: Shade, Constantine, Zatanna, Klarion, Etrigan, Deadman, Batwoman)
Etrigan the Demon by Mike Mignola
The Question by Peter Milligan and Mike Allred, paranoid Question like the one in JLU.
Plastic Man by China Miιville and Jim Woodring
Green Lantern by Alan Moore and Patrick Gleason
    Red Lanterns by Dash Shaw
Shade the Changing Man by Paul Hornschemeier
Blue and Gold by Keith Giffen and Dan Hipp
The Spectre by Peter Milligan and Tom Mandrake

My IDEAL 52 would be so radically different from what we're seeing...I need time that I don't have right now to compile the list...I started to...but then I realised that I'd probably wash half of the titles clean and give them entirely different focus...this will take time to think on...

    I'd love:

Stormwatch by Warren Ellis and Brian Hitch (ah, the classic old tastes..)
Grifter by Ed Brubaker and Travis Charest (still not sure about the writer, but i'd buy it just for the art)
Deathstroke by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven (could be coooool) :D
Frankenstein by Jeff Lemire and Mike Mignola (i like the way it is but.... well, Mignola is just Mignola) :P
Batman and Robin by Frank Miller (i'd love to read Miller's version of the Batman\Damian relationship)

and leave like they are: I,Vampire, Animal Man, Batman, Swamp Thing, Justice League, Wonder Woman (but without any fill-in artist)
-Forgive me for my bad english, i'm from Germany-

    DC New 52, Top 5: 1° I,Vampire. 2° Batman. 3° Swamp Thing. 4° Animal Man. 5° Wonder Woman.
