Sorry to hear about his wife's health problems. Hopefully he is right and the additional attention they are paying to her health gets her well once again. Having such a burden hanging over you can be overwhelming and of course projects like ASWW take a back seat to such matters.
Wow, this was a great interview with one of my favourite Artists. Kudos to the writer Chris Arrant for all the precise questions. You should interview J Scott Campbell next![]()
they should just do this as an OGN at this point, whenever he gets to it. Such a great artist.
pretty funny/sad how bad the All Star line turned out: One completed Classic (i haven't read it but folks seem to dig A-SS), one pile of unreadable trash that even the creators seem to have deemed unworthy of finishing, and 2 no-shows (there was supposed to be a AS Batgirl as well as ASWW, right?)
============ Just say "NO!" to $4 books. ============
Wonder Woman looks amazing in that drawing.
I do hope we can get his All-Star (and, presumably, classic-style) Wonder Woman someday. I'm not happy with the current revamped version at all.
And, of course, I hope his wife gets better, most definitely!
Really love his depiction of Batgirl..
I hope his wife gets better soon. It's tough to balance paying the bills with looking after your nearest and dearest. But it sounds like he's got his priorities right. Hope things work out for them.
I must say, I find it absolutely stunning that this interviewer never asked Adam Hughes if he ever plans to work for Marvel. That is my greatest comic book desire and it gets not a single mention.
He doesn't seems to not have time for plans but he did say:
That'd be pretty cool. That being said, I'd dearly love to do some World War II-era Captain America stuff some day. I'd love to do some war comics art, especially with one of my favorite characters.
I found a couple AH commissions of Cap:
