First one I ever read was a What If? book. I was in elementary school and another kid was reading What If? #50 (What If The Hulk Had Killed Wolverine?), and the cover, featuring a raised, shiny Wolverine skeleton, caught my eye. I asked him about it and he said he was done with it and just let me have it.

First one I ever bought would have to be X-Men Adventures #6, which I believe I got at a pharmacy.

    Still have both.

    Default My First Comic

The first comic I ever read was when I about ten years old and my friend had a Fantastic Four comic when Reed Richards first discovered the Negative Zone. The first comic I ever bought was an Amazing Spiderman comic, not sure which issue but he was fighting Electro. I bought from a corner drug store back sometime in the 70's. I am trying to get my old collection back.

Messiah Complex trades at the Little Turtle Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I had no idea what the hell was going on, but it was awesome and violent

Don't remember the title (I was 4 or 5), but a collection of old Lee/Kirby Fantastic Four issues in my school's library. Remember how everything seemed to be moving, the old Kirby crackle dots, Johnny slowly gaining flame as he "Flamed On", the shadowing on Thing's rocky hide (when it started to become blocky), the Inhumans, and it introduced me to my favorite character as a child, the Black Panther. Unfortunately until the Priest Knights series I could count on my hand the number of times he showed up in a comic I bought, was always a big deal (even FF #400 where they had characters from out of time show up and he was just in the background fighting alongside them).

First one I read? I can't be 100% sure but I think it was this.

The first one I remember buying with my own money? I can't find an image of it but it was issue one of an X-Terminators mini, it was an Inferno tie in if I remember rightly.
Looking forward to the new Kid Loki book & Morbius.

Don't remember the first one I got, but it was probably at a convenience store or possibly a regular book store (there wasn't a comic book store around back then.)

The first Marvel comic book I ever read:

I had bought a DVD box set of the X-Men trilogy, and watched it with my family. We all thought the first two were awesome and the third sucked, but I came off thinking Wolverine was great. As a result, my mum picked up a random issue of Wolverine for me the next time she went to the newsagent. This was around 2008, and I was eleven or twelve.

The first Marvel comic I ever bought was the trade paperback of Avengers Disassembled from my LCS.

I had read about Disassembled on the Wikipedia, and the art appealed to me. After this, I picked up all the major events - House of M, Civil War, Secret Invasion - but I felt totally lost because I didn't pick up anything in between. At some point last year I started lurking on CBR, and picked up a load of trade paperbacks and OHCs to fill in the gaps in my bookcase.

A pretty unfortunate start though, right? Loeb and Bendis. Bleh.

First ones I ever BOUGHT were the Incredible Thorcules arc of Incredible Hercules and vol 1 of Secret Warriors off Amazon.

First I ever read was the Deadpool issue where he goes back in time to mess with Spider-man and Kraven after a run-in with the GLA.

Technically, my first comic was Incredible Hulk #270.
Problem is, I don't remember getting it, reading it or ever even having it!
But there is a picture of me holding it after getting it in my parent's photo album.
I count Incredible Hulk #296 as my first comic, got it at the Smith's Food King up the road. I remember seeing this weird looking cover, opening it up and seeing the Hulk on crutches and wearing purple underwear. Got home and took a purple crayon and "colored" torn pants on the Hulk's legs.
The story also reminded me of the two part episode from the Hulk TV series "The First".

This was given to me by my cousin at his wedding when I was about eight. The art looked so cool and mature at the time (it still does actually):

About a week later, he sent me this in the mail. At the time, I thought that the artists were the same:

For Christmas, he sent me this one into he mail. Put together, it was perfect intro into Spiderman and into comics in general:

Empty winds scrape on the soul never stop to realize/Animal whisperings intoxicate the night
Hypnotize the desperate slow motionlight/Wash away into the rain
    Blood, milk and sky....
