Sweet. Yost on an all-ages...Heh heh heh.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

Good to hear. My kids loved the Marvel Adventures books, and I was disappointed at their cancellation. I'm glad that Marvel remains committed to putting out all-ages books.
I'm assuming Ultimate Spider-Man Adventures won't have any actual connection to the Ultimate U...?
I hope those titles will be a little less "safe for kids" than the previous Marvel Adventure line, or they'll continue to buy One Piece and Naruto instead of this.
Anyway, I'm not interested unless there are some recent characters playing a big role in those comics.
Me: Please Marvel, give some spotlight to your 21th century creations instead of killing them every month.
Marvel: Avengers Arena, lol!
Classy as always, Marvel.
this is geat news! marvel should always have an all-ages line for the kiddos, imo.
I'm interested in the logic of the naming of the Spider-Man book. With Ultimate Spider-Man being the new Miles Morales character, why launch this Ultimate Spider-Man with Peter Parker? Seems like an un-necessary confusion of the USM "brand".
I understand that PP is the iconic Spider-Man, but then why use the "Ultimate" tag?
What do you mean specifically?Anyway, I'm not interested unless there are some recent characters playing a big role in those comics.
Truth.
I hadn't thought about it that way.
I think the "Adventures" tag in the title and the completely different costume are supposed to help differentiate.
My understanding is that the USM cartoon will be somewhat based on the original Bendis/Bagley series. If I'm not mistaken, Bendis is actually involved in the production of the cartoon.
So the Ultimate Spider-Man Adventures book will be at least spiritually related to the original USM.
I mean 21th century characters, or at least characters who didn't already exist when I was born. In order to show that Marvel keep creating new and exciting characters, which is the case.
Like Sentry, Cloud 9, Gravity, Mr Negative, Morlun, Carlie Cooper...
Heck, even Darkhawk or the Hood would be a huge improvement from the usual 60's show.

Stephen, Will the Avengers EMH book be similar to the previous mini-series that filled in the gaps between episodes?
Static Pulse: That's why I like you. You're like four degrees away from being a William Gibson protagonist.
Love the writers, loved Templeton on Batman Adventures comics, and they're 2.99. Win-win-win.
Mr. Wacker, I know it must be fun but can't you do more than play the troll/counter-troll role? I know any message board you visit will have negative fan viewpoints, but plenty of us truly just want to discuss the comics, characters, and creators we love and would enjoy having someone in the business add to the discussion in a positive way rather than poking jerks in the eye (and really only playing to their ego, having the Spider-Man editor giving them crap rather than other board regulars telling them to shut the hell up).
