INTRODUCTION


You know the exciting news, I was going to tell you about, well, it is here. Boinks and myself have decided to start a solo and team championship season that lasts through out the whole year.

The exciting news is no one will miss out on any of the tournament. I've developed a system that works with everyones schedule The way this will work, is you will set up an appointment time with me or with one of the other judges. The judge will enter your mission, but will not follow you, their only their to observe your scores. In tight quarter missions the judge will be on the outer rims of the arena moving out of your way, so as not to interfere in your game. If by chance, the judge gets in the way, you will be able to redo the mission.


Me and Boinks did a few test runs to see if a judge could stay out of the way, and it is possible. If your computer crashes, we are not having set times and dates, so you will be able to reschedule your mission. There will also be a judge in your team missions. You may ask, how is this going to work? It will be the same way, you will have a judge enter your game and a team of three players. If the judge interferes, you will be able to redo your missions. Some of you will say, well we can take pictures, but in reality this is the fair way of making sure the scores are what they are. This is non negotiable because championships are at stake as well as prizes, so please do not bombard me about this, this is the way it is. Scoring will be the same for solo as well as team play! The combined score of the bonus, knockouts, combos and survival points will give you your grand point total, for the mission. Each month there will be three to five missions you will make appointments for in each category, solo and teams.

I hope this announcement excites you all that didn't get to be in the tournament, I know me and BOINKS are beside our selves with excitement, and we are ecstatic that we can share with you with what I came up with. I didn't want anybody to miss a tournament any more, so I hope you all enjoy this years missions championship league. Who knows it could be better than Nascar, the SuperBowl or the PGA Tour. It might even be better than Bacon, but I doubt it!

TEAM PLAY

* 3 to a Team
* Partners must stay the same throughout the year.
* If a Partner is lost, you must pick up a new player that is not on an existing team.
* In the event that you cannot obtain a teammate you will be assigned one.




CHAMPIONSHIP CATEGORIES


At the end of each month, who ever has the most points, is the monthly champion.

You become a classic champion by adding those 2 or 3 months totals

SPRING CLASSIC: February-April
SUMMER CLASSIC: May-July
FALL CLASSIC: August-October
WINTER CLASSIC: November-December

Then finally our 2012 GRAND CHAMPION will be determined by adding all the points for each month At the end of the year.

PRIZES:

SOLO GRAND PRIZE: 3 Gold Cards
TEAM GRAND PRIZE: 1 Gold card to each player on the team.


JUDGES:

Bright Breaking Ghost aka B. B. Ghost

The way this works, you will contact a judge at least a day ahead of time to make an appointment. You both agree to set the day and time you will do your mission.

If your late, they will not stick around no more than 10 minutes. You will have to reschedule the mission. If your going to be late, you need to let them know, and see about a rescheduled time and date.

At the time of your appointment, whether it is solo or team play, a judge will enter your mission. They will not follow you during the game. They are only waiting for the scores and medal at the end of the game. Both you and the judge will either take a picture or write down the following scores.


1) BONUS POINTS
2) KNOCKOUT POINTS
3) COMBO POINTS
4) SURVIVAL POINTS
5) MEDALS WON
6) CHARACTER SELECTION

It is ultimately your responsibilty to write or take pictures of all points and medals you got during each mission. The judge is responsible for writing or taking pictures of scores as a backup, just in case something happens. You are to pm me your scores or whichever judge you used.

There will be an ongoing spreadsheet that each of you will have from Boinks when he gets it done. Only the judge is allowed to enter the score on the spreadsheet!

Your allowed 2 crashes a mission. After the second time, you'll need to reschedule your mission!

There will be three missions per month, you must do.

The combined score of all the three missions will determine the monthly champion.

To win a Classic Championship, which is a 2 or 3 month period. It is the combined score of all three months or two , if it is two!

Every months score will combine to a final score at the end of the year.

The team or person with the most points will be the 2012 solo and team champion!

I hope everyone understands these rules and please respect your judges time, like they would respect your time. Everyone play fair and be nice. This is for fun. I hope you all ar as excited as I am about the upcoming season for the ultimate CUG HEROUP CUP CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON!

How many players can be on a team?
There can only be three people to a team.
Who can join?
This is for all 105 CBR Team Members. They have to be a member of this group.
Is there an entry deadline?
Anybody can enter this tournament at any time of the year, we just add them to the list, but they may not win the prize in the end if they don't join now because the ones who start in the beginning have the advantage because they will have more points for the grand score at the end of the year.
Is the previous team tournament apart of this team tournament?
[That] tournament has nothing to do with [this] team [tournament] for the whole year!
Is the tournament themed?
These are all going to be themed!
[NOTE:] I'm open for suggestions on themes! PM me your suggestions! The name of the team, and characters involved! This ought to be interesting. I'm awaiting responses!
What if I do not have a complete team?
...if you do not have a complete team, I will have to assign team members to incomplete teams by January 31st, so that you can start the tourney by February 1st...!
If you're on a team, can you still do solo?
Yes you can enter both...!
How many missions are there per month?
Three missions each for solo and teams per month!
Why are there judges?
The reason, I'm doing it this way, it keeps people honest about their scores and not everyone knows how to work cameras and link them to a pm, such as myself.
Besides, if you didn't have a judge, anybody could send any score, and more than likely, everyone would have adamantium medal with high scores. This is a fair way of doing it, and the prizes are coming out of my pocket, so this was the only way I knew that everyone would think would be fair.
What happens if my score is lowered because of one of the judges?
If by chance the judge gets in the way, you'll be allowed to redo the mission!
Is there a set date and time for the missions?
You can set up an appointment with any judge at anytime of the month. You need to schedule in advance to play. Don't wait till last minute, if you want to play a certain day, at least give the judge a day to prepare for you...You have 6 judges that you can choose to set an appointment with.
When does the tournament start?
February 2012
Is it possible to change teams during the tournament?
...everyone must remain with the same team, all year round. There will be no changing of teams.

Abomination Obliteration (Because this is the month of love, you can choose any hero that has red on them or is red)
All for Juggernaut (Must be original x-men- cyclops, jeangrey/phoenix, beast, iceman and angel)
A Thousand Apples A Day (players choice of the month Virgos Lady Liberators, you can choose the following-valkyrie, scarlet witch, wasp, black widow, she-hulk, invisible woman and spiderwoman)

SOLO

We Run In Peace (Any Mighty Avenger- sentry,all ironmen, ms marvel, wasp and black widow)
U Turned Out The Lights (Heroes that are mostly solo- like dr strange, daredevil, blackcat, all spider characters, blade, all hulks, silver surfer, nova, captain marvel, elektra and deadpool)
Bombs Away (Any Spider Character, Spiderwoman and Black Cat)


ATTENTION JUDGES:You need to practice judging in a mission at least once with a solo player, and once with a team to get a feel for it!

Important Updates:

UPDATE: We are all aware of the glitch, where you can change your character in the mission. Fair warning, if you change a character in the mission, and the judges see this, they can throw you out of the tournament for good. There will not be character changes in the mission.

UPDATE:

1) The venom mission, apparently has a bug in it, so I am changing the mission, see spread sheet for the changed of mission.

2) scoring: When the judge is in your game, his or her score is not counted, so your total points on survival will be different, whether your playing solo or team, so be sure about your score. This is one reason your judge is writing down the score as well. It is better to have two eyes than one in case something happens. It is real critical you pay attention to your scores.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Colossus Alchemist will not be judging because he has issues with his game, but there is still 5 judges you can choose from!

Hi everyone, the thread is finally here. I had to have a lot of help from several people. First thanks to Mason for allowing me to branch off. Thanks for Emilio for starting it for me and all his wonderful artwork. He is a great pal.

This thread is now open for any questions about the tournament, so feel free to ask any time. This league is for CBR Team members only, but anybody can join us just go to the CBR Team thread and tell Mason you want to join the team, then contact me and you can sign up.
