That is a good discount but paying $40 for 12 issues is hard to swallow. I would love to have that series in HC but not sure if I can do it.

I mean, it's basically an absolute. It's 1-12 plus the annual/special thing and a few extras. Hell, Green Lantern Rebirth is only 6 issues and people still buy it.

Regarding Lemire on the previous page, I'm reading Sweet Tooth and loving it and I'm looking for the Essex HC book.
But does anyone have any other must reads by him?

His first comic is getting released soon, Lost Dogs (released digitally first and now physically) and then his new book The Underwater Welder is coming out in Sept.

Other than that, he still a newcomer.

Got One Soul by Fawkes and Marzi by Sowa/Savoia today. Both look amazing.

I was kinda surprised that Marzi is published by Vertigo, especially since it's a foreign work and the format looks more like something by D&Q.

Harvey Pekar's "Cleveland" HC is 47% off at Amazon.com ($11).

Also, all of Guy Delisle's books are between between 28 and 40% off - most of them TPBs, but also the new "Jerusalem" HC (37%).

I just got the latter and it looks and starts off great. It is also quite long for Delisle (336 pages) and, a surprise for those who have read other books by him before, partly in colour!!

    EDIT:

Overstock has Jerusalem for $11.65 (that's $4 less than Amazon)

Anyone on this thread found any good GI Joe collected editions worth collecting. I've read a little of the older stuff but there is so much now and they are all different books (maybe even different continuities?) from different publishers. I'd like to find some nice collections with some solid stories. Preferably hardcover and not the small paper omnibuses.

Any good GI Joe out there?

Got back from the comicshop. Nice haul... Got Wasteland HC vol. 1, Persepolis and Cyril Pedrosa's new book, "Portugal". It was released today in Dutch translated from French. It's by the guy who also did Three Shadows. Pedrosa was there too, very friendly guy and he did a very cool drawing in my book as well. It won some big prizes in France, so I hope it's as good as they say it is. What I've read of it so far is amazing. Hope it get's an english release soon so everyone can get it. The book is almost Absolute size. Continuing now... :)

Even though I have the slipcase version, I'm tempted to buy this as I have a feeling it'll skyrocket in price in a few months....
