Alright cool. I think 6 is like 47% off on amazon....I may grab that and just get the others later...

I've always been interested in Dredd. Is it best to get the Complete Case Files in order to read it?

Whoever in this topic advised on the Crusades, thank you!
Reading the first HC now, it's so much fun. I wish they would collect more Vertigo series like this, even if it's by Image.

Nice! You saved me a bit of money, I very nearly bought the old version last week. Interesting to see if this will appear in Amazon.de or co.uk later on.

Yeah, it's both the best and most economical way to read JD. I'd skip vol. 1 as it's really only important in a historical sense to watch the character develop. Start with vol. 2 which includes classic JD stories "The Cursed Earth" and "The Day the Law Died". I'd continue through to vol. 14 with "Necropolis", then pick up significant individual storylines like America, The Pit, Tour of Duty, etc

Yeah me too. Pre-ordered it the other day. The preview art looks amazing. And knowing Lemire it's going to be excellent.

Absolutely. Essex County was the first book I read by him and it was one of the best books I read last year. Great, great stuff.

    WTF???

Just noticed that this thread is in the Community Forum, between such comic-centric threads as "The shooting of Trayvon Martin" and the "2012 NFL off-season thread".

Why is this not at least in the Indy forum???

(Yeah, yeah I know. I'm taking over this thread today)

Anyone not convinced of getting the (sadyl delayed) Alien - Artists's Edition by Walt Simonson?

Here's quite a few clickable pictures from the Facebook page for the book:

Photo 37 (three guys in space suits) is worth the price of the book alone, imo.

    EDIT:

Oh, and Amazon now has the proper cover for it (and .com has also finally reduced the price to $40)
