In awe of the size and sexiness. Now I hate myself even more for not buying the slipcased Incal when I had the chance.

Oh me too, me too. With Meta and Before oversized slipcase, the Classic is gonna feel out of place. One day maybe I'll get it....

We should probably stop talking about how sexy the huge shiny black book is.

It's definitely the widest and tallest book I have. Marvel omnis take the cake for thickness and weight though. ASM 1 is like 9 pounds.

I hear ya. But "luckily" I live outside of the US so all those deals atm are kinda irrelevant for me

Well, at least we were able to see "The Avengers" a week before you guys.

IDW now also publishes Artist's Edition Portfolios.

The first two are by Bernie Wrightson and Neal Adams:

How do the portfolios differ from the HCs they've been putting out?

According to the description they seem to be made to look like real portfolios, with 7-8 sheets. They are of course also a lot cheaper than regular Artist's Editions because of that.

How they are packaged I don't know. There is nothing on IDW's site about it. But if it's to resemble a portfolio, I'd guess they come in a map.
