Nope, not super thin at all. Oh, wait:

And that's probably as 'family friendly' as I can post without upsetting Aegis. Utterly stunning, yes, but some of you guys need glasses if you think she's got anything even approaching the same body shape as Ms Carter.

Lynda was at her thinnest in the first season (ABC WW2 series) and even then, not as thin as Miranda.

Lynda was at her finest during the CBS years where I have heard in interviews that she was supercritical of her body and started working out and gained a few lbs.

Miranda Kerr is like most supermodels these days, dangerously thin.

I dunno, I think saying stuff like that is as dangerous as saying models have to be thin. A lot of models do look very thin, and I caught a glimpse of America's Next Top Person To Be Exploited By The Fashion Industry, and whilst one or two of the models looked thin but healthy, the rest looked like they'd just woken up and then been crammed into a washing machine that spun them around for an hour.

Ms Kerr doesn't look all that unhealthy or skeletal by those pictures, so I reckon she's probably doing alright.

Putting both of them side by side you can tell they're about the same figure. Also the bikini photo was when she was skinnier.

She seemed pretty alright here. Actually with quite a chubby face to me.

The difference is Victoria Secret dont necessarily hire models that are dangerously skinny.

This is probably an average size for runway models. Which you can tell isn't Miranda's size. Miranda is slightly curvier.

Sethy, that photo is really disturbing. Sad runway model. Someone grill her something yummy...

LOL, well it's not surprising actually. Seeing as America and Australia has two of the largest overweight and obesity rates (america being number 1 that is), it's not surprising that people see her as super thin lol.
Um...well I know thin people, plenty of them. I just don't think Kerr really captures the spirit of the character. She looks a bit like string cheese, all stretched out, even though the pose is an homage.

Lynda, whatever her weight at the time, just pulled off being thin and looking like she could run a few miles. I'll agree her upper arms were model-esque, but she never looked like she was starving.

Even if you were to go back and forth between older and newer pictures, Carter is simply the bigger woman.
(it feels really odd calling Carter "big" in any aspect.....)

I generally agree with your analysis. To suggest that Miranda and Lynda are the same size with respect to body type is doing a disservice to Lynda. Lets face it, the so called supermodels of today tend to support '0' dress size and most do border on being really thin. That is what the fashion designers want, human clothes hangers.

Miranda is very attractive, but in my opinion, compared to Lynda, alot thinner.

It's Australia Day, and Miranda Kerr is dressed as Wonder Woman.

    Life is good!
Irene Adler: “I would have you right here on this desk until you begged for mercy twice.”
Sherlock: “I’ve never begged for mercy in my life.”
    Irene: “Twice.”

Well of course there are thin people, that's much a given. But the majority usually set the standard on what's considered attractive or not, and as america and australia continues to get fatter and fatter, so does idea of being fatter becomes more attractive. After all, if you have 7 out of 10 people that are overweight, the chances of you finding someone who is of standard weight or underweight is slim, thus to prevent cognitive dissonance, you become attractive towards things that are larger.

Miranda Kerr looks far from starving, (the other photo posted looks like she maybe hungry.), but because she doesn't match the standard of our society which is being overweight, people feel the need that she must need a cheeseburger.
