Likely plenty, but as for myself, I think i hold silver and golden age stuff to a different standard. I think the 80's, with Dark Knight, Miller's Daredevil, The Watchmen, etc, etc...ushered in an era of more seriousness for comics, where they became more than just funny book to a serious medium for both writers and artists. There were a lot of goofy tales told prior to the 80's, real goofy stuff, but once they became big business, standards got raised, and expectations...
Bring back my DC! In the meantime, make mine Marvel and Image!

Bruce Jones Nightwing was short and awful. And not in the "it's so awful it's good" but the "it's so awful I would rather gouge my eyes out".

Yup. Unfortunately for this board, I don't fanboy over "big name" writers just because, and his lackluster run on Batman was by far the worst thing I have personally read in quite some time. So, these stories mentioned in here have a LOT to live up to.

I recall a late 80's issue of the Wanderers that the plot focused on one of the heroes being in danger of getting taken advantage of by a shady talent agent or something...I kind of stopped collecting for awhile after that...

    or

The most recent run of Mr. Terrific where a killer GPS off's Mr. T's wife (Guest Starring Mega Mind). Shocking this got cancelled.

was that the one where Jason todd becomes a monster?

That Linkara guy destroyed your mind, brother.
I think 9/11 + Sin City destroyed Frank Millerīs mind

but That said i just read Holy Terror
its definitely not the worst thing that he has wrote, it has good parts here and there but it gets extra points for not being batman

Suit yourself, I'm a fanboy but I don't think everything Morrison (the filth couldn't care less).

Be precise please. He got ingurgitated by a monster and then turned into one thanks to the goo in that same monster.

Plus the dialogues were an abyss.

being fair he planed to write a book with Jason as Nightwing and had to rewrite everything from scratch cause they decided last inute that killing Dick Grayson was an stupid idea

well its definitely not that bad, but no where near as good
honestly you can feel that the writing changes from issues 1 to 2 and 3 cause 9/11 happen in the middle

Superman and WW creating tsunamis through sex, really!

That said, I would like him to do a 3rd part to kind of close the saga of the dark knight cause really Strikes Back didnt make it a good end

Ok, but how do you involve monster eating and moster turning into a rewrite?

    maybe its a metaphor

he is Jason and DC is the monster
DC swallows his ideas and spit them into monsters

did i just blew your mind?

ok Jones is really a subbar writer to be honest
I heard he made Warlock comic before Mike Grell came back, it was bad, it was retconed
then he made this Manbat comic, which i actually read cause i love Manbat, and it turns out that Manbat just randomly kills all his family and Blackmask and a flash villain were in there but i cant remember what they did
    and it was retconed

and his last work was a mini called "the war the time forgot", didnt read it but im currious about it, it had a lot of D-list characters being pulled out to the past to fight in a war
pretty sure it was never in continuity

why did they allow him to write if they retcon him anyways

I started reading it pretty early on when I was just getting into comics, and back then I had virtually no idea who he was. And even then without knowing he was a "big name" I thought it was brilliant. I even used it to help get other people into comics and they loved it too without knowing who he was.

So that's why what you say is nonsense to me. It's a brilliant story, regardless of who made it.
