God Eli Stone was so bad. Every comic Guggenheim has done has been dreadful.

There is no way this will be good.

    Pun intended.

Right now it's a huge blank target. So until I see otherwise, glad to hear it.

They are idiots. I hope this fails miserably. A Green Arrow with out Ollie, why is it even being made. STUPID STUPID STUPID! I have no respect for anyone involved with this.

Wonder if it's being made by the same people involved with the Wonder Woman pilot

... and we all know what happened to Eli Stone (cancelled before the first season ended). Who sets up these team-ups destined to fail?

It is very much not intelligent to do this and make it unrelated to Smallville. No one would care about a Green Arrow TV show. The only way to generate interest would be to make it a Smallville spinoff.

Even if it wont be a spin off not making it anywhere close to the character is pretty stupid in their part

Guggenheim and Berlanti must be two of the best pitchmen in the film industry, for as mediocre as their projects may be they continuously get more work.

And why not just make an entirely new show if they're going to not base it on the comics?
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

I think the same thing. It was a great show that went too soon.

That being said, projects like this baffle me. If it's not based on the comics, then why even call it by the same name?

As a way to lure in comic fans into believing they are going to see a series based on the comic but they will find out that the only thing resembling the comic is the name.

Place your bets now on which show gets canceled first, Arrow or Beauty & the Beast!

But that doesn't even make sense because comic book fans are such a tiny minority of the TV viewing audience (And "comic book fans that give a crap about The CW" is even smaller).

Smallville has nothing to do with the comics either technically. It still went on for 10 seasons. Also its viewership ratings were one of the highest in CW
