Well he seems very enthusiastic about his Batman work. Good for him. I will stick with Tec a while longer and see what else he can bring to the table.

going to completely honest. he should have dropped Detective and focused on Hawkma with Tan.

I really have a bad feeling about where Liefield will take these books. I'd rather Dc try new blood. i fear the drop off on hawkman and deathstroke will get then canceled.

Why does DC hate Hawkman. First they launch him with Tony Salvador Daniel as his grand architect in the DCnU when he could only do it for a finite number of issues, then they pass it off to Rob Liefeld. Its just cruel .

Man, if only we could have gotten Robinson on Hawkman like it was rumored .

I am definitely looking forward to this! Can't wait to see more of Kudranski's artwork.

One of the things DC has let me do is to maintain what I'm doing on "Detective Comics." I think what people are enjoying most from "Detective" is that it's very self contained and focused on Bruce Wayne as Batman
This is what I'm enjoying the most. Maybe in time I'll come to like the Bat-family, but I like my Batman solo:-)

Must have been an awkward talk with all those bad reviews for Detective going around. I don't hate it, but does anyone like it?

It's one of DC's biggest selling titles (#6 in December overall, and DC's 5th best selling title) so some people must like it:-)

I really want to level blame at Tony Daniel for his lack of interest in and commitment to Hawkman... but I can't. If you don't like a character, or if you just can't make him work, it's not necessarily your fault; the magic just isn't there. But I do wish DC had chosen somebody better to launch Savage Hawkman in the first place.

I hope Daniel, focusing more completely on his Batman work, will make it ever better. And I hope DC has more commitment to Hawkman, my favorite of their characters, than has thus far been apparent in Daniel's muddled reintroduction.

My suggestions and choices for new story and art: Keith Giffen, now that O.M.A.C. has gone; James Robinson, as was rumored earlier, and again possible, now that Shade may not last; Walt Simonson--though that's a pipe-dream, as he's a Marvelite for right now. And always, of course, Andy Kubert, in the great tradition of his dad, whose work on the Hawks will probably never be surpassed.

Shade will last. Both Robinson and the editor have come out and said that all twelve issues will be published.

Liking Detective more than I thought I would. Penguin arc sounds interesting.

Hawkman should be a A-lister. Anxious to see where it goes.

BTW Simonson just did the current issue of LSH. Love it ! Would love him on Savage Hawkman, though his connection with the previous Hawkgirl train wreck will impede it from happening.

I've been pleased with Detective. Daniel came out with a strong first issue (due in no small part to the shocker ending) that was enough to make people take notice and come back. That said, I do see it meandering a bit. I wish he would get moving a bit faster with the Joker's story. Overall though I'm still enjoying it, and I think it'll read even better in one sitting.

Hawkman is another thing altogether. I didn't give it past the first issue so I can't comment to any major degree, but I definitely did not enjoy either the story or art on that first book.

I dunno, Abnett & Lanning got to go back to Resurrection Man, and it wasn't exactly a smash hit the first time...!

That's great news. Could you give me the link to this information? That would be nice.
