It probably has something to do with the source of Iron Fist's powers - ie. Shao-Lao the undying.

Rand gets his powers by plunging his fist into the undying dragon's heart. The Phoenix Force is death and rebirth.

There could be a tie between those two that isn't too ridiculous. I'll cautiously wait to see how Bendis covers it before complaining.

Completely agree and i'm looking forward to this. I know I for one would've never thought there was a connection heh. But that there is, really intrigues me and I can't wait to see how this plays out.

The idea feels like a gadget to me, it could have happened to Johnny Storm, or FireStar, or FireBird, or Magma, or Rusty Collins (bring him back from the dead while you're at it please) dunno..

I don't doubt BMB will find a nice twist to justify this, I can't help to see this as a little tricky to me. Plus Danny is both in NEW AVENGERS and DEFENDERS, he has already attention.

Again, certainly " it can be done" but should it be ? Isn't it to fulfill an event who seems to have already difficulties to find his purpose ..
