Sounds cool. I think his Cap stuff has dropped off, but I'm looking forward to Winter Soldier and loving Fatale.

"We're going to see one of Cap's old girlfriends who I've never written in the book, but who a lot of fans have been screaming at me about for seven years. So, it was like, 'Alright, fine, I'll do it!'" joked Brubaker. "I finally had a way to bring her into the book that made sense, so there will be some good stuff for classic Cap fans, but it will still feel like my book: still basically a crime comic with a guy with a flag and a giant shield."

Who's he talking about? Diamondback?

Doesn't Brubaker dislike Diamondback? I thought it might be Bernie.

Cap relaunch started strong, but slid enough for me not to continue.

I'm glad Bru is doing so well. When he's on fire, he's amazing.

I am looking forward to the Winter Soldier ongoing.

Good time to be following Cap. There are so many subplots and threads that remain from vol 4 and from the SS miniseries and Secret Avengers. I'm glad too that espionage will continue to be the focus.

Diamondback, huh? Well I will be interested if she is the new character how Ed will write her. Never followed her in TBolts except through Seige.

Diamondback was never a Thunderbolt. (Though everyone wants her to be.)
And the book you're thinking of is Avengers the Initiative, the last time we saw her that wasn't a flashback.

I wonder which look they'll go with. Pink or Purple? Long Brown, Short Pink, or the half shaven?

Gotta admire how much this guy enjoys what he does! One of my all time favorite writers, that's for sure! And his Cap run managed to be my favorite over the years, surpassing even my love for Mark Gruenwald's!

That being said, I so hope he's talking about D.I.A.M.O.N.D.B.A.C.K.!
