    Default CBR: "Adventures of Tintin" Nabs Best Animated Film

    Steven Spielberg's first animated feature took the award for Best Animated Film at the 69th Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday, besting "Rango," "Cars 2," "Puss in Boots" and "Arthur Christmas."

    honestly tho, besides Rango, there was no real competition
    I'm from middle-Europe.
    This is where I get my comics from.
    My experiences with comics are different than yours.

    I actually surprised Cars 2 was even nominated. That just shows that Pixar has a guaranteed spot regardless of the film in question.

    ^ Agreed. I'd like to consider myself an Animated Film Buff, and this year was just weak.

    And yeah, Cars 2 getting nominated is laughable.

    Arthur Christmas and Puss in Boots both deserved it over TinTin. Both were a LOT of fun to watch.

    I like to believe Tintin would've won even against better competition. Way to spell check, CBR....

    Same here, it was a fun film that really won on it's own merits not just because of a relatively weak playing field.

    Absolutely! Tintin was a very enjoyable film. I'm looking forward to Peter Jackson's turn with great expectation.

    It really deserved to win. To be honest, I was surprised Cars 2 was even nominated.
