This could be awesome. I hope Ennis stays away from the hyper-violent Punisher Max / Boys style of writing and stays with good old fashioned normal violence. Happy to see Aaron Campbell get a high profile book, I think he's one of Dynamite's best.
Considering how wonderful Ennis's Dan Dare was, I have extremely high expectations for this.
I was hoping for Matt Wagner, but I'm than happy to settle for Ennis on a book like this.
Love Preacher and the Kev minis from Wildstorm, I will for sure check the return of the Shadow, hope it makes me forget about Alec Baldwin's trainwreck from the 90s.

Because Ennis is the writer I'll check it out.
Honestly, the Shadow was a pretty lame characters compared to pulp-era rival, the Spider, who is probably a better fit for Ennis' violent style.
Holy crap, I'm stunned by this. Not what I expected at all. Very happy about this. Love the Shadow, and love Ennis' work. Looking very forward to this.
Back in October I was excited when it was reported that Kurt Busiek & C.P. Smith were the creative team Remake & Reboot: THE SHADOW Comic Series
Now, I think I'll pass on this title
Huh? It was never reported that Busiek and Smith were to be the creative team - that article you've referenced is just someone's idea of their own, personal "dream team" for the book.
It's bizarre that you're already deciding to pass on this, before you've even seen any preview artwork or read any preview pages.
I'll definitely give the series a shot. Great covers, but I'm more interested in seeing some interior art.

You know this would have been cool if John Cassaday had been the interior artist. But the one currently assigned to this title isn't that talented, so I'll pass.
Campbell is an amazing artist!
While I'm intrigued by a Shadow revival, I'm very wary of an Ennis treatment, so I think I'll have to give it a pass.
