Justice League-big blockbuster movie type comic and easy to jump on it (I plan on jumping on it after the darksied arc passes)

Action comic-is Superman origin story and it is good

Batman and Robin-my preferred batman book; it’s familiar and easy story to connect with. It is also entertaining and Damian rocks.

Batgirl-easy book for new comers and each issue has been getting better than the one before

Stormwatch-off beat non superhero book, and I’ve have been enjoying it so far

I can’t really recommend the rest cause I’m not reading them. It really depends on what characters and genre you like.

I haven't dropped by for a long time. But since the relaunch, I am currently still reading the following list every month:

    Batman and Robin
    Batman
    Action Comics
    Green Lantern
    Green Lantern Corps
    Detective Comics
    Batgirl
    Birds of Prey
    Wonder Woman
    Swamp Thing

I've dropped a few as well.

How about you guys? What's on your list now?
Excuse me. Have you ever danced with The Devil by the pale moonlight?

    1. Batman-By cover alone you should pick this up. Plus, it has Snyder and Capullo on writing and art.
    2. Justice League-Easy to get into, decent art, first six issues are very popcorn movie ish, later plots seem to be slowly getting more complex, very slowly.
    3. Animal Man-If you like humanistic characters and familial relationships in comics mixed with horror and psychedelic visuals, this one's for you
    4. Swamp Thing-A really slow to develop book but the art is gorgeous and the writing is phenomenal and keeps you on your toes.
    5. Red Hood and the Outlaws-Has 3 of the best characters in the DCU ever, first issue is awful but the book keeps getting better with each issue, big action movie feel, some solid character development
    6. Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E.-weird levels of Grant Morrison outrageous sci-fi wackiness tempered with Lemire's tendency to build familial relationships. The art is as nuts as the story
    7. Justice League Dark-has the best roster of any book, art is unique, has Milligan's usual brand of weirdness, etc. My only problem was the repetitive narration of the first five issues. Also, Lemire comes on with #9 and makes it like a #1 issue supposedly.
    8. Aquaman-Geoff Johns is much better at focusing on single characters rather than a team, which is why Justice League was on and off. His focusing solely on Aquaman and sometimes Mera means this is good and is building towards creating an Aquaman mythos like Geoff did for Green Lantern
    9. Green Arrow-The first six issues are weird and not very well written and definitely not a good intro to the character but from #7 on the book just goes absolutely nuts with the craziness and scripting and just becomes a lot more fun. He is also my favorite DC character.
    10. The Flash-the art and storylines are brilliant and its so much fun to read and look at.

Also for the new wave this coming month I suggest getting:
    Batman Inc.
    Earth-2
    and Dial H

IMO for a noob hit the Icons First: Justice League, Batman, Action Comics, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman (7).
Next Magic and Science: JL Dark and Stormwatch (2).
Round out with Birds of Prey.

Now Animal Man and Swamp Thing are great but I would not give those to a new reader unless I knew that is what they like to read.

Thinking of picking up a Green Lantern book. Which is the most "rebooted" and easily transitions into the mythology because I hear it is complicated. Also, is Stormwatch any good because I love Martian Manhunter but heard some bad things. My list

    Batman
    Animal Man
    Action Comics
    Wonder Woman
    Swamp Thing
    Justice League
    Justice League Dark
    I, Vampire
    The Flash
    Aquaman

I am pretty much only reading the Flash at the moment, he is my favorite hero. I recently ran into money trouble so I had to drop my pull list down to a couple a month, but I alternate the few others I get and then get the Flash every month.

The Ravagers? Not released and featuring more than a dozen issues of 3 series of backstory, The Ravagers? I sense optimistic, premature bias.
I would like to say for the record that this is the FIRST TIME I've withheld dong when someone was so desperately asking for some.

Here's my take on the best books at DC, and I don't see any of them being hard to jump into. I mean everything has just recently started, so except for stuff like the Green Lantern books and the Legion books most things are geared toward picking up new readers.

    Animal Man
    Action Comics
    The Shade
    Wonder Woman
    Batman
    Batwoman
    Swamp Thing
    I, Vampire
    The Flash
    Captain Atom
