Default A Wonder Woman video game.

    My ideas:

    -Controlled with Wii Motion Plus.
-Over the shoulder camera when not attacking.
-With the press of a button (preferably the Z button) you zoom in slightly and slow down time. In this mode, you can deflect bullets and attacks but you can't attack yourself.
-Whenever you get into a battle, the combat is like Devil May Cry/Bayonetta/Ninja Gaiden, with combos and whatnot. Wondy can even get new weapons, like swords, spears, etc.
-With the press of another button, you go into another mode where you zoom in over her shoulder but time doesn't slow. From here, your attacks are controlled with the Wiimote, similar to Zelda: Skyward Sword and Metal Gear Rising.

    Eh? Eh? :D
What do y'all think? I really want a good Superman more, but a good Wonder Woman game would suffice. A good GL game would be amazing and honestly, I want a good Aquaman game as well. It'd be fun exploring the ocean.

Also, I haven't been reading the newer Wonder Woman series. I guess I should start picking that up, huh?

For some reason, I love discussing potential WW boss fights in any WW video game thread that comes by.

I love Assassin's Creed, but what elements do you think they could incorporate from that into a WW game?

The only thing I can think of that could be incorporated is a redonkulous storyline that's hard to suspend your disbelief over.

Yeah, I mean...I'm not exactly an AC fan, but what mechanics in the series could translate well to Wonder Woman? The thing about superhero games is that you have to craft gameplay that fits well with a superhero's powerset (and hell, even personality since Batman, Superman, and many other heroes don't kill). WW can fly, why would she need traversal/parkour gameplay like in the AC series? The gameplay would have to include her flight and make it really fun.

A Superman game would have to do the same. How about on-rails flight portions with beat 'em up gameplay? Something like Star Fox 64, only instead of shooting at things, you punch at nearby flying enemies? I think that'd be fun. A Superman game could do the same, only he could use his heat vision and ice breath.

    Eh? Hehe.

From what I've played, it is a fun game, I was talking straight up the plot of the series: so we have memories of our ancestors imprinted into our DNA, and this super-duper machine can crack the code and the people inside the machine play out their memories like a game? ...Yeah, that's a bit of a tough pill to swallow. Makes you wonder why they had to add in the current day stuff. If you can swallow that pill, though, it is a fairly engrossing story.

Outside of that, though, yeah, the problem is that AC's missions are usually, "sneak into this place, kill this guy, sneak out," and while that would work for a Batman or a Green Arrow or another kind of street-level hero, not so much for WW.

The only gameplay thing I can think of that could work for WW is that in Assassins Creed 2, you have this home base that is your village, and you use the money and such that you gain from you and your groups' missions to help make the village thrive again. I could see something going where Diana can have two homebases--Paradise Island and, say, Washington DC, and you can literally fulfill that "ambassador" role by sharing and offering different things from each world.

Giving a Sims-like mechanic to a Wonder Woman game? It could work and it'd be interesting just walking through the homebases.

Honestly, that could work in a Batman or Superman game as well, if you could access the Batcave or the Fortress of Solitude. You could place really cool objects wherever you wanted to in each.

...holy shit, that'd be cool. I've long wanted to explore the Fortress in a real Superman game.

Don't worry, others aren't video gamers, either.

(I had a video game system once . . . I think it played Pong and maybe something else.
That was probably over 30 years ago. )

The weapon fighting mechanics, the platforming/climbing (unless she can fly in this one) and the large free-environment, getting money and buying new swords. Mix that with GOW brutality, puzzles and mythology.

Basically a large, open world city or whatever with elements of GOW and some game engine aspects of AC.

Does WW really need to be brutal, though?

I think she should only do enough to make her enemies submit. She kills, but only in desperate situations.

Well I meant like they could have huge Cyclops or Chimeras running around, not people really.

Right now i'm really intrigued and excited by Azzarello's use of the greek mythology, and i'm also just coming out of playing Zelda: Skyward Sword.

So i'd like a game like that, with WW and the greek mythology. But it should be an exciting adventure like Skyward, not a gorefest like God of War was. The setting? Well you have to make it equally mythical. It could be Paradise Island if its a very big one like in that manga pitch by Caldwell (pic related), it could be ancient greece (through time travel), or a modern city that's taken over by greek mythology. Think of Arkham City, but with greek gods and monsters instead of lunatics. I dunno, perhaps they're trying to set foot on the modern world by taking over a modern city? Personally I'd go with the large Paradise Island option as that would make it much more personal and it would even allow them to explore her origin.

What about the mechanics? Well there could be dungeon exploration, fighting monsters and bosses, visiting the city of Themiscyra and other villages and helping people out, using magic objects and tools, navigating boats and trimeres around the island, etc.

Furthermore you could perhaps have some missions as teenage Diana where you get training (learn the game mechanics), study greek sciences (astrology, physics, etc) which would later somehow come in handy in the main plot, etc. That part of the game could also be used to explore her and the Amazons' origins.

Oh and one last thing: Strife being the Riddler of this game. She is not an enemy, she's sort of neutral towards you, she helps you and trolls you at the same time. You have to collect her golden apples and complete little games for her.
