i liked this issue! Was not explosive as the Rise of Vampires ones but i like the slow pace this issue had. It was, in some way, related to the locations and the situation. It felt a bit like the first issue to me. Anyways, I hope next issue, with the Andrew Vs Mary Vs the Van Helsings title, will give some more action!
Also, i love how the art and the colors still feel thrilling and manacing even in a sunny and luminous place.

being Alaska the land of the undead, it could be that eventually Andrew move his Vampire nation there and make a 30 days of night kind of scenario

So was there some reference about vampires\undeads in a pre-DCnU? (apart of the old I.. Vampire! series i mean)

no actually not much was done with that idea and there were no reference to Andrew before the new 52

I agree with that I didn't find it racist I just found it really dumb that apes albeit genius apes would take over the continent of Africa
back on topic I think for now the vampires are good with Utah. yes the locals will not like them being there but so will everyone on the planet

Let's hope the extra readers stay! Really hope DC aren't even thinking of cancelling this title...

On anthother topic, I thought that this issue was the best of the week as always! Even though it's all nice and sunny, the art still manages to be quite dark and menacing, which is something that other books can tend to struggle with!

Has the first trade for this come out yet? I bought the first few issues, but I just can't afford singles right now. I still want to support this series though, as it's right up there with Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Flash, and Batman for me as the best of the new 52.

I am SO happy this has survived a second round of cancellations. This is easily the most underrated series that DC is currently publishing and it needs to survive.

Honestly, I never thought I'd say that about a comic book starring vampires in the regular DCU but here I am.

Bring on Year 2.
