Default Avenging Spider-Man, Daredevil and Punisher crossover

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=36386

Mark Waid and Greg Rucka are teaming up to write a crossover between Avenging Spider-Man, Daredevil and The Punisher this April. (I guess Zeb is taking an issue off.)
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

I am down with that 'cause I love Waid on both Spidey and DD; he has a great style for them both.....but seems weird since we have Waid writing the 2-part ASM/DD crossover this month, no?

    Waid and Rucka collaborating?

    Sure. Full steam ahead!

Looks interesting, I might check it out.

I just had a thought. If Spiderman is no longer in the Avengers, then won't that mean that the Avenging Spiderman title will no longer make any sense to keep publishing?

Isn't Spider-Man still in New Avengers? Just not Avengers?

Well, that answers that question. I am curious as to what direction that series will take.

As for Spider-Man, Waid mentioned there was an entertainment factor. "Part of what puts Spider-Man in the story is half a need to babysit these two guys and half a need to eat popcorn and watch what happens when they eventually collide," said Waid.
This is the problem with Spider-Man in events/ teams/ anytime he's with anyone outside of ASM.

Doc Ock - I'm Peter Parker.
Peter Parker - Not anymore Spider-Man. From now on I'm Peter Parker.

    Good post Ryan. - Oldschool

I cannot recommend Scarlet Spider enough, but here's trying.

I don't read Punisher but I'll definitely get all 3 parts of this crossover. Sounds really cool.

The only work I can think of off the top of my head Greg Rucka did with Spidey was Quality of Life which he said was the worst work of his career. I didn't think it was that bad, it had some major consequences for the Lizard and unique CG art (gimmicky but I'm a sucker).

He did that? Huh; didn't know he did any Spidey at all. And I never read that one to begin with, so I guess it all evened out.
