DARK KNIGHT RISES TRAILER! YES! YES! YES!
eFFING SPOILERS
Those are all valid points. And don't get me wrong, this is still my favorite cartoon (possibly ever), but it just seems so drastically different than as little as one episode ago. I mean, look how long it took for Zatanna to join the team. THAT was a perfect transition time for a new member. Then Rocket seemed to come in out of nowhere, but I didn't so much care because frankly the team needed one more female. But then BAM Season 2 starts and it might as well be YOUNG JUSTICE: SEASON 5. One or two new characters on the team would have been fine, but we got 5 or so, and half of my favorites are nowhere to be seen (yet) and the others are practically different characters because they've aged and look & act different. I liked Miss Martian's relationship with with Super Boy and was looking forward to more of that, but BAM that's over. I was looking forward to more Zatanna / Doc Fate stuff, but BAM that's over (and it has to be, because if they haven't resolved any issues after 5 years, especially being on the same team now, then there's something wrong.
I wouldn't say that those new characters are not known. But they certainly aren't your run-of-the-mill characters. Like Rocket. You know what I loved about the original team? They were all mini-versions of the Justice League. Sure now we have Batgirl and Wonder Girl, but that doesn't make up for a second (un-needed) Robin, an Atlantean that I've never even heard of, and what I consider the worst excuse for a comic-book character.
My favorite was Red Arrow, especially at the end with his big reveal. He's now 23. Since he was always older and off to the side anyway his absence and/or aging doesn't hit as hard. I hope we see more of him.
The best way I can describe my feeling toward the change is if someone were to read Ultimate Spider-Man from 2000 to 2006 then skip forward and start reading where Miles Morales takes over. Sure, it's still Ultimate Spider-Man, but literally in name only. You can't just throw a new character or team at fans without finishing the story of the old one(s). I'd be more interested in seeing Young Justice: Year 2 rather than the story that they have planned for this season.
But anyway, I'm just needlessly ranting now.

I agree with you on being hit with all the new characters, especially as Rocket only joined the team a few episodes ago, and now she's not even on the team anymore. I was really looking forward to Zatanna/Robin stuff, but that doesn't seem to be the case 5 years later. Ironically, almost every new character has appeared in Season 1.
I also agree with the Zatanna being the perfect transition time, and the Ultimate Spider-Man comparison. I wish we could just watch the five years, instead of five years later.
Man, do we have to disagree so soon? I just got back a few days ago. I think DC Nation rocks, and both shows are awesome. Specifically enjoyed the recent GL episode.

I disagree. Cliche is not so bad. Eventually things that aren't cliche will become cliche freeing up things that were cliche, but are no longer. Favorite character from the GL show is the Red Lantern. From YJ: Blue Beetle, Nightwing, Zatanna, and Kid Flash.
Didn't you say you were tired of arguing?
The first time I saw love, it was hanging from a tree.
I am SSSOOO glad Kid Flash is gone, worst character in that show.
I'm fine with things being cliche, it's when predictably gets thrown in that it becomes a problem.
I'm not arguing, I'm stating my opinion. Depending on how you respond to this post it could very well be the end of the discussion.

Here's the new Dark Knight Rises trailer:
There's definitely a different direction they've been going with these trailers for Batman 3 than they have for the previous films, these all feel just so sad like the evil has won.
Why do you think she's in the Justice League and not part of the Team? She's trying to safe her father and thus is getting closer and closer with Doctor Fate.
Just like Spider-Men was the worst thing ever even before a single issue was released? Please Balfro, noone takes these comments seriously, well okay, serious enough to pin point how stupid they are.. I don't wanna sound like a downer but this show has been a solid 9 and 10 for 26 whole episodes and now suddenly it's slammed with a 4.
He's stuck to the body, hence he's kept the codename. He will either never mature or he's aging process is very very slowed down.Super Boy shouldn't be Super BOY anymore... Just sayin'.
Noone was replaced, the cast was simply enlarged. Just because some character isn't part of the Team, doesn't mean they're outside the show. This has always been a DC Universe show. Here the entire team of Young Justice was replaced with sub-par characters
Exactly. If anything, this is more like Peter David's Young Justice alltogether.
It's called non chronological storytelling.
Why not? Superboy is now 6 years old.Having a show called YOUNG JUSTICE which is about YOUNG heroes doesn't really work when you skip FIVE years.
They're the new mentors and den mothers, like Black Canary, Red Tornado, Captain Marvel and Batman we're. I didn't see you complain about those characters, infact you kept praising Captain Marvel constantly. If this were a show about adult heroes then sure, by all means, skip as many years as you like. But don't do it with a cast of kids and teenagers. Superboy, Nightwing and Miss Martian shouldn't even be on the team anymore since they're at least in their twenties now, if not 18 minimum.
So this is truly simply about you whining about your favorite characters not appearing in the 1st episode, wow Balfro.
What a load of pessimistic bullshit. ;)and the others are practically different characters because they've aged and look & act different.
No they weren't. Superman isn't a Hulk with anger issues, Batman isn't a laughing daredevil, Green Arrow isn't a once criminal with criminal family, Aquaman isn't a hard discipled student of magic and combat, Flash isn't as inexperienced as Kid Flash nor as comedic and so forward. They we're protegιs of JL members, yes. But mini-versions? Not at all.You know what I loved about the original team? They were all mini-versions of the Justice League.
You might as well say Monica Chang is the same exact character as Natasha. Why is a new Robin unneeded? Gotham always needs a Boy Wonder, not to mention Young Justice season 1 had plenty of characters you never heard of, btu now you just wanna be pissy whiny and claim this is the worst excuse for a character? When did Canada become this whiny, Balfro? When? When did you become America? :PSure now we have Batgirl and Wonder Girl, but that doesn't make up for a second (un-needed) Robin, an Atlantean that I've never even heard of, and what I consider the worst excuse for a comic-book character. He's a central subplot of the entire season. My favorite was Red Arrow, especially at the end with his big reveal. He's now 23. Since he was always older and off to the side anyway his absence and/or aging doesn't hit as hard. I hope we see more of him.
Haha and how do you know this? Invasion by fucking Darkseid < Young Justice just hanging around in 2nd year and fightning common criminals. DC Nation does indeed rock, and it only keeps getting better and better when the new Batman show launches among others.

It looks so awesome, yet I'm still more excited for the Avengers. I've heard a few theories about how Nolan is going to try and end his trilogy. If he ends up killing Bruce Wayne or making someone else Batman, I would consider that a letdown. I don't know how he can end what he's set up here, but I'm definitely going to see it. I've just been weary of the third installment of a sequel wince X-men: The Last Stand was such an epic fail.

But the circustances around Last Stand's failure does not come from the fact it's a 3rd installment, but by it's creative team.
