Optimus feels like the safety net of the team. I know he's the leader but c'mon...

Bumblebee is still the sterotypical kid.

Ratchet and Ironhide while up front more, still felt like background characters.

Now don't get me wrong, from a critical standpoint the films were terrible. Horribly acted, terrible dialogue, and not to mention plot holes a plenty, but they still had the feel of the old comics.

While I can see where you are coming over I disagree. Ratchet and Ironhide play major characters, Bumblebee at Tyger Pax is VERY early on so he's not yet grown (as he does in G1 as well), Optimus is the leader, but unlike the film he doesn't do everything and isn't this unstopable force like he is in the film, and yeah, the Bayformers are crap

The current ongoings are even better in this regard. The typical transformers conflict as embodied by Megatron vs Optimus isn't really present in the two ongoings, and other characters are getting a shot at the spotlight. Also features varied personalities.

I think I'm falling deeply into the Tranformers fandom. Uh-oh.

I just finished the first and second issues of the new Superman series. I am loving it! I think it's really well done and it's a great introduction to the characters. It's beating out Action Comics by a long shot. =p

Uh-oh. Just looking at your pull list there you have Batman and Detective Comics on there. Both of those are going to be boosted up to $3.99 soon. If you don't have $3 for Supergirl will you have $2 for those two?

I know I was worried about that when they posted that news. I'll probably be dropping Batwing in June and Action Comics after #8 (I think that's the arc conclusion) to compensate. Blue Estate's last issue will be in May so that'll also free up some money.

It's not so much that I can't afford to buy so many comics as it is that I know I shouldn't be spending so much money on them. It's all I can do to convince myself that I should invest my money in better things like percussion equipment for my band or art supplies for independent study. XD
