Barret should get healthy, they can bring up Sandow and Rollins, and actually move Cody forward and there will be plent of guys much better suited to wrestling matches with Orton.
kane does turn 45 in two weeks

Ambrose vs Orton if they keep his gimick is a mistake.
Orton isn't strong on the mic, Ambrose is, they have a really similar gimick, i would not put them together because you can't have a new guy show up the star.
Unless they change Ambroses gimick, then it's fine.

    So...what?
i'll take your word for it. punks angry face & choking back tears does nothing for me, but i'm not a fan so....

It was because no one cared about Kane. There was no heat for his feud with cena, there was none at his mania match with Orton, and yet he keeps getting put into matches.
Barret should get healthy, they can bring up Sandow and Rollins, and actually move Cody forward and there will be plent of guys much better suited to wrestling matches with Orton.
i can understand the company feeling that way, what i don't get is why fans do. i'd much rather kane is rewarded for his years of service with a nice fat check presented off camera.
Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

They're using Kane because he's permanently over. The company man stuff ties into it, but if the fans didn't pop for the guy every time he came out he might not still be there no matter how professional he is.

i've thought kane was rather un-over at several times in the last 8yrs.

The fans don't, unless the not giving a shit for his matches has been there way of showing it.

I don't know but Kane, is like Undertaker, or stone cold, or rock, or cena. They all mean: WWE. or Hogan even, they are popular characters associated with a certain compnay. Even triple H is know by people who dont watch wrestling. Its like Aquaman, he might not be the best, but is a DC Icon.(and no, I am not saying Kane is Aquaman, nobody can be as lame as Aquaman, well I dont know if current Aquaman sucks less, but you get the idea.)

unfortunatly in a bussiness you want to make money, and do (or in this case) showcase anyone that can make you money. Just like Batman and Superman. DC know that the real money maker is Batman. but they know people still recognize Superman. Supers might not make as much money as Bats, but he still can move merchandise, and is associated with DC, that's why they keep making Superman movies.
Same goes for Kane, he is UT's brother, and is recognized as such. and while he doesn't not sell as much as Taker, he sells, and can be used to promote WWE, because people recognize him.
If TNA puts a big ad with Hogan in it (I dont know if this would be true in USA) for an international house show. almost everybody would think that wwe is coming to their coutry, very few people would associated Hogan with TNA.

But that doesn't make your opinion right. Not everyone likes horror movies, but that doesn't mean they're not popular. No amount of handwringing and complaining is going to change how many people go see horror movies. Its OK that you don't like Kane, but there are plenty of people who do. You can't argue them out of existence. Kane has fans, and people react to him and his antics.

give me a ppv in the last year featuring Kane that did well, or a segment where he popped a rating, or a segment when the crowd went nuts for him, and i will agree.
My dislike for Kane doesn't change things like his match with Orton at mania being totaly dead.
And i guess the dull crowds during the embrace the hate feud can be blamed on it being a shitty angle, but it was a shitty angle he was involved in.
Im not denying he has some fans, John Cena is the biggest heat magnet in the company and he has fans, Zeke probably has some fans, jack swagger has some fans.
But this idea that he is somehow important to the company is what im argueing against, because he isn't. I don't see him as a popular character.

How about this, name the number of people who pop ratings first. I'm not claiming that Kane is Rock or Brock or whoever, but he's had a good career, and people like him. And I'd argue that the annual mid-Rumble Kane choke-slam spree is something that people look forward to. I know I do.

I think the main point is that if he was truly not over at all, there's no way he'd have lasted 15+ years in WWE. The number of guys who have done that right now is pretty short. Kane might be at the bottom of the list (if not for Mark Henry's last year or so, he'd easily take those honors), but he's useful and bulletproof (in terms of storyline stuff, nothing can damage his character). He's important in the way that it's useful to have guys around you can dependably plug into a random main event when injuries start knocking everyone off again (Big Show fits that bill, too). I'm sure everyone wishes that Christian or Rey Mysterio had stayed healthy over the last year, but when they didn't Kane held down the fort. They didn't have to do an emergency credibility-boosting push and cross their fingers that people wouldn't turn on him. There's real value in being pretty good and very dependable.

Don't drag Zeke into this, even his own family probably doesn't follow him on Twitter.

Oh, I agree, but they could work at TNA, and have way more freedom to do other things. The WWE is very picky about what their talent does.Unless, its porn, TNA does not care.

Kane doesnt need to be anywhere near Orton. Kane should be used to get new big guys over, and thats it. What is tough about Orton, is that his personality does not lead itself to face storylines.Unless, he is going for championship against a heel, he really has no purpose. The best thing you could do for face Orton, is to have be the Legend Maker. Have every new heel guy go after him to prove that they matter, and have Orton just keep mowing them down.

    [B.
When was the last time Mark Henry was over in his 15 year career until the recent push, which still had 4 months of people chanting boring or sexual chocolate at him?
But you've switched it now to just "not over at all" i said he wasn't popular, i stand by that. As you pointed out, no one pops a rating or a ppv buyrate, so all i could use is crowd reaction, and crowd reactions to Kane have been nothing special for years now.
Kane is a waste because of this. Orton should be feuding with someone who needs a rub from a star, not Kane. Nothing is gained from him feuding with Kane, absolutetly nothing. Neither of them is going to be more over when it ends, it's not going to make any money for them, it's not a new or different angle.
    It's filler.
Hell, the only reason he's feuding with Kane anyway is because Barret got hurt.
