Let's start with our "small print":

One of the perks of being a CBR SHSO Squad Member is that we have access to a group of game file junkies we dubbed the CBR Codebreakers. The CBR Codebreakers would ask that any of this "spoiler" information stay off of any official SHSO page. Afterall, it's a kids' game! Now, on to the good stuff!

    1. Magneto is here. He's Scarlet Witch's father, so be careful how you look at her (talking about you Nader).

    2. Dr. Doom had some more work done, and he is called Future Foundation Dr. Doom. He also will fly with rocket boosts. And is a farter. No word on whether the farts fuel the rocket boosts.

    spoilers:

    3. Because Gazillion wants to bring families together and not tear them apart like Pictionary and Monopoly, they are bringing in Quicksilver. Or at least there is a VO (voiceover) for Magneto and his speedster son.

    4. You like playable villains but feel there they have too much testosterone? How does a playable Mystique sound? Magneto has voice overs with her, too. The women that played Mystique in the movies are Rebecca Romijin and Jennifer Lawerance. Do yourself a favor and Google Image them.

    ...a half hour later....

    5. But now you're saying, "What about FF Dr. Doom? Doesn't he have any friends?" First of all, quit being such a sensitive ninny. Second, yes he does they are Future Foundation Mr. Fantastic, FF Invisible Woman, and FF Thing (Doom has VO relationships with all of them) . How does that grab you?! Hmmmmm, to be grabbed by FF Invisible Woman (I'd tell you to Google Image Jessica Alba, but, I assume you have a whole folder of her on your PC or Mac).

    6. Doom also has a VO relationship with Squirrel Girl. Nothing funny, here. Squirrels are terrifying.

    7. We've all been told there are legal reasons for not having Bishop in the game. But, they did work on Bishop's VO codes. How do you explain that?!! We don't. We are as confused as you all are. Most still doubt him coming anytime soon, and if he does....Marvel NOW! has him as a villain. The CBR Codebreakers will keep an eye on him. DON'T EXPECT HIM.

    8. For those of you who enjoy the card game, the name of the guy (in the code) who does the VO for the card game is "Mayor Stanley". Hopefully we get Stan and the Mayor in the game, but as to date, only this name gives us hope. And, sorry to the card players who thought I was going to give a card game spoiler with the first sentence here. It was cruel.
    end of spoilers

Keep on playing, True Believers! The CBR Codebreakers will continue to seek out the truth.
It looks like this will be a great year. I guess i'll have to wait even longer to buy older heroes I don't have.
I think we might get a regular Dr. Doom sometime later on.

Makes sense since he is a Future Foundation member.

Default SHSO: Women of Marvel - Part II, Future Female Characters

Happy Holidays, everyone! Ya know, as a result of us avoiding certain disaster & the end of the world once again, people have been saying a new age is dawning. In the spirit of that & keeping it in mind, I can think of no better time to celebrate SHSO's possibly playable, female characters of the future. Having already acknowledged what I believe to be a solid Marvel & Gazillion performance in this area so far, equal to or surpassing industry standards on average by my account, I feel optimistic eXpectations are reasonably deserved. The numbers & percentages previously cited would suggest there's at least the potential for some more content of an original, feminine nature, if not the promise of or commitment to. Unsurprisingly, the usual suspects were made available: Invisible Woman, Storm, Jean Grey/PhoeniX, Scarlet Witch, & Wasp, Black Widow, Rogue, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, & Spider-Woman, Emma Frost/White Queen, Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, Psylocke, & Elektra - all got the greenlight. While I do fondly refer to them as the BIG or "famous" 14 quite often, I still think their inclusion is fairly significant & rather noteworthy. I was tempted to add Valkyrie & make it an even 15, but ultimately decided against it... for NOW! ;) Black Cat crossed my path as well, I mean my mind, and Tigra too. We've also been given Firestar, Red She-Hulk, Spider-Girl, Hope Summers, & American Dream besides, for a grand total of 22. Hopefully, the trend continues in a positive manner from the precedent set, in an upwards direction & progressive fashion - and we get proof of it real soon, like in early 2013!

With that said, who will it be? That's the mega-important question, who will be neXt?! For me anyway, it's easily what I've been lookin' forward to talkin' 'bout the most. You too, I hope, 'cause I want this part of the topic to generate the largest discussion. I want it to be debated, I want it to be controversial, lol. Seriously tho, which unannounced Marvel lady stands the best chance of becoming SHSO's newest & latest playable character? It's not just about who we'd like to see, but who we're likely to see. After using that very same logic & line of thought to ponder A LOT on the subject... then applying various criteria to narrow the possibilities by process of elimination... THIS is the cadre of "safe bet" prospects I came up with, or what I've affectionately dubbed:

    SHSO's
    NeXt
    Women Of Marvel

    The 20 Most Probable Candidates?!

    I'm thinkin' so.

Priorly present in the first pic, but not playable as of yet & therefore left over from last time, are: Medusa, Crystal, Polaris, Dazzler, & Songbird. Formerly presumed to be anticipated contenders in joining the aforementioned top tier of Marvel superheroines, they're runnin' with this new pack now, as leading alpha females. Categorically speaking, joining them in that respect as far as I'm concerned & sharing in the same esteemed recognition, are the following: Jubilee, Mockingbird, Misty Knight, Dani "Moonstar", & Sif. Maybe Magik too, Patsy Walker/Hellcat & Monica Rambeau/Photon also, all three were strongly considered. But Jubes, Bobbi, Misty, Dani, & Sif won in the end to round out the top 10, with their overall, seemingly superior prominence in things to come giving them a bit of an edge. Beyond the other 3 tho, to complete a full 20, there are 7 that remain: Moondragon, Moonstone, Silver Sable, X-23, Blink, Rachel Grey, & Pixie. None of them tho, save X-23 IMO, have as good a chance of makin' it in as the previous 13. They do however, in my guesstimation, weigh more heavily in favor of becoming playable than say...

    SHSO's
    Other
    Women Of Marvel

    14 More Possible Candidates?!

    I hope so.

But do you agree with me, that for the most part, they are indeed less probable? With the eXception of a very few that is, like Julia Carpenter/Arachne supposedly & perhaps Shanna the She-Devil, maybe even Maria Hill. Sadly, I think the rest are pretty much long shots at best, including: Jessica Jones/Jewel, Sersi, Clea, Stature, Mantis, Colleen Wing, Namora, Diamondback, Darkstar, Firebird, & White Tiger. Being totally realistic, I feel the chances any of that 11 have at becoming playable are slim to none, unfortunately. Still, we can keep hope alive by believin' in the near impossible, 'cause ya just never know! For instance, some of those ladies could be pet characters, of a developer or one of the other PTB. A Sersi, Mantis, or Diamondback could be receiving special treatment right now, as we speak, and could be - fast approaching readiness! So hypothetically, we could actually get them sooner rather than later, as opposed to not at all, lol. The same can probably be said for:

    SHSO's
    Other
    X-Women Of Marvel

    14 More Possible Candidates?!

    I hope so.

Most of them anyway, barring say, oh IDK... 3 maybe - again!, lol - notable standouts: Domino, Wolfsbane, & Magma. They're just more likely, I would say, for a bunch of different reasons. Neena, Rahne, & Amara have an X-tra set of beneficial X-factors stacked in their favor, when it comes to marketing & such, giving them the advantage. The others: fellow teammates Boom-Boom & Siryn, Gen X's Husk, M, & Hollow(formerly Penance), Alpha Flight's Aurora & Snowbird, plus Sage, Meggan, Dust, & Hepzibah - come up a lil bit short in that department comparatively. But hey, same rules apply here, "... ya just never know!"

Default SHSO: Women of Marvel - Part II, Future Female Characters cont'd

Before wrapping things up for Part II, pun intended, lol... I wanted to make sure 2 major omissions got a HUGE shout-out:

    Dagger & Gamora

Tandy & Guardians of the Galaxy's Gamora were victims of circumstance, so to speak. I couldn't find the proper images necessary for me to include them in the preceding collages, but believed they were important enough to warrant a mention in their own post. Dagger's recognition should require no eXplanation on my part, and all you need to know 'bout Gamora, if there's any doubt - is that she'll be starring in the upcoming GotG feature film AND a new, ongoing, high profile comic book series of the same name from Marvel NOW!

Also, can't forget 'bout gettin' these 3 confirmed SHSO ladies, eventually:

Pepper Potts as Rescue, female Black Panther Shuri, and... Squirrel Girl!

Plus, a Classic Ms. Marvel iteration, but Squirrel Girl's the one I'm really waitin' for! Kinda lookin' forward to playin' Pepper in her Rescue armor, too. Taking into account Pep, Shuri, & Doreen have been more or less established as imminent, the 22 original superheroines already made available could be considered 25, for all intents & purposes. Add Dagger & Gamora to my 48 possibly playable, female characters of the future, accumulated heretofore - and you get an even 50! Or potentially, all together...

    an incredible & astounding...

    75...

    "Women of Marvel"!!!

Coming up: Part III of SHSO - "Women of Marvel"... Movies, Other Media, & Marvel NOW!

(Who'll be getting the spotlight in Marvel's assorted, forthcoming media ventures?! A character that maybe hasn't before, thus requiring a concerted, promotional effort in their name universally across & throughout those very same projects?!! That's what we'll be discussin' in the third & final part!!!)

Love to see this thread is up and running again and specially glad to have you back PSINGRAPHD, as far as female's appearing in game things have been a bit slow on that department but at the pace the game is going I'm sure we will be seeing more (maybe even more than one per month).

I'm not going to get as fancy, but here's my thoughts on the most likely future female characters. Not necessarily who I want to see, but who I think are truly most likely.
    Most probable:
With the villains becoming playable, that vaults Mystique and Enchantress to the top of the list. I think it's important to look at cross-promotional opportunities. That's why I put White Tiger on the probable list, due to her appearance in The Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. Following the Marvel Now trend from the comic books, Domino is in "Cable and X-Force", Misty Knight and Dani Moonstar are in "Fearless Defenders", Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) and Miss America (plus she's latina if they want to broaden the racial diversity) from "Young Avengers", and Medusa and Miss Thing from FF. To round out the top 20, in no particular order, I would go with Squirrel Girl, Shuri, and Rescue (previously teased at NYCC 2012) Polaris, Maria Hill, Songbird, Mockingbird, Silver Sable, X-23, Magik, and Dazzler. OK that's 21 but I couldn't decide who to leave off.

Of course that doesn't take into account other versions of existing characters. We could get an Avenging Scarlet Witch, New or Classic Captain Marvel, Future Foundation Invisible Woman, and New Valkyrie (from Fearless Defenders).

Given Gazillion mentioning that the Marvel Now comics will be playing some part in new character releases, some new females could include -

    November Titles -
    Journey into Mystery: Sif
    FF: Medusa / Miss Thing

    December Titles -
    Cable and X-Force: Domino

    January Titles -
    Savage Wolverine: Shanna the She-Devil
    Uncanny X-Force: Spiral / Cluster
Young Avengers: Miss America / Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) *Kate has also been in the Hawkeye title which gives her another book for a push

    February Titles -
Fearless Defenders: Misty Knight / Danielle Moonstar

    March Titles -
    Guardians of the Galaxy: Gamorra
Secret Avengers: Mockingbird / Maria Hill *While not directly referenced, the close ties to SHIELD make her possible
    Uncanny X-Men: Magik

Also possible upcoming could include - Squirrel Girl (Shes been in the console game SHS: Comic Combat) and several of the newly released characters show voice interaction with her. / The Iron Man 3 movie is on the horizon and we already know of the planned Rescue (Pepper Potts) from the Con long long ago. Polaris has been mentioned by name in Havok's furniture set.
