• SHSO: The NEW POLL for "Most Wanted" MIA Heroes - A NEW POLL!!! For ORIGINAL, UNAVAILABLE CHARACTERS ONLY!!!! NOT for confirmed upcoming heroes or alternate versions of currently playable(iterations) ones!! Max allowed listed is 20, minimum required is 10, w/multiple suggestions for the same hero combined & grouped together at only 1 spot on your list. A legitimate entry for this main poll is mandatory to count any/all of your votes.
  
  
• The NEW POLL's Point System - Basically, placement = points. Just invert the numbers to figure out how many for each spot, i.e. #1 gets 20, #2/3 get 19/18, & so on. All the way down to #20 getting only 1 point. Regardless of whether you list an entire 20 or not, the point totals allocated to those spots with characters listed, remains the same. But, feel free to come up with any combination out of the 20 positions, as long as there's at least 10 total. Scatter them however you want!

2. Polaris - Mistress of magnetism! (in either her dark seduction look or her current uniform)
3. Darkstar - Russia's darkforce weilder and timeless treasure!
4. Moondragon - Commanding HBIC and the face of elegant bald beauty!
5. Crystal - Inhuman and marvel royalty!
6. Lady Mastermind - Reluctant X-woman and noted diva!
7. Outback Dazzler - She secretly wanted to be a hobo, but was still an outback sensation!
8. Banshee - Gen X teacher, old school X-man and ginger sexpot!

I'm sorry your friend MIMIC616 wasn't willing to compromise, but oh well, we tried.

It's not that, he just didn't reply; maybe he got busy or forgot. Anyway, thanks for the info & responses to me and stuff, PSI, lol. As you can see from the updated list, I decided to add the Power Pack and Slingers stuff, as well as move a few things around while I was there.

I thought about doing iterations, too, but I haven't seen enough I like yet... So far it's Emma Frost - Gen X Look, Jean Grey - Black Queen, and HoM Wanda. Need at least two more, lol.

By the way, very happy to see some fellow Generation X fans on this thread!! I've been wondering where they've been all my life! Props to Starleafgirl, nate-grey, and RLAAMJR. for the Gen X love in their lists! I've been a long-time supporter of Penny myself, and still long for her story to have continued in the direction it was going when I saw her perched outside the Massachusetts Academy by the grill, hands softened to pink human fingers, mouth too, eating an apple when Sean walks up... This indicated to me the humanity that dwells inside her (not just any combination of the St. Croix family), and was longing to come out. I always thought that Banshee or Chamber would be the ones to connect with her (as they had been in the past) and bring her out of her metaphorical and literal shell. Still one of my favorite moments in comics, and I'm still waiting for that to be developed. -_____-

They were chosen by condition (3) as well, so Chamber and Husk made it over Penance or Synch simply because of their continued status in comic continuity/implementability in the game-format. In fact, Penny didn't even make my extended list that time because of how unlikely I thought it was for her to make it in the game. But with the support I'm seeing from others, and the possibility (?) or M arriving at some point, I will certainly consider her again..!

Oh yes, definitely consider her! More Penny is always a good thing! :D

Besides, she wears cute well, which is perfect for SHSO. :)

Finally got around to catching up on your thread! Thesis procrastination is great for that kind of stuff!! :D

I read most everything except for some of the rules and whatnot about the current MIA Poll, which I will get around to voicing my opinion on ASAP. What is the cut-off date for voting?...

I'm there with ya on the procrastination stuff, DD. Unfortunately, I'm easily distracted, and it always seems that whatever diverts my attention away from focusing on my original intentions... it occupies WAY more time than I estimated! To date, I've been rather unsuccessful in curbing this behavioral habit. Every time I try & attempt to zero in on any given task or project, I get interested in something else.

As far as the cut-off date for voting, I was thinking no later than the end of March. This way I can start revealing the results at the beginning of April, hopefully around the same time we'll be learning about that month's new Avenger character releases. Something just came to me the other day tho, I'm considering keeping the poll ongoing & open-ended. The results would be kept fluid, regularly adding in new(or altered) votes & points on a... bi-monthly basis, maybe? For all of us who have already posted lists, our MIA hero picks would be forever changeable as well. We could adjust THEM periodically too, according to any new, non-bogus info or updates that are received. This way, as the game evolves, the results will too. They'll flow naturally, always current & up-to-date, reflecting the latest SHSO news. I'm REALLY liking this idea, what do you think? What does everybody think?! I'm interested in all your opinions, and would like to know before making a final decision.

I know someone else who came first, is kind of like a more agile version of Wolverine, a mutant girl with claws on her hands and feet who also has a thick skin that makes her near-impervious to harm and psychic intrusion and gives her a more distinctive look...

Jubilee is a mutant teenager who can generate her own fireworks. With her, every day is New Years' Eve.

So it might be safe to assume that we might have Jubilee some time soon in the game, will this affect the poll rules in some ways? Also he discovered that Armored Spider-Man, Arctic Armored Iron-Man and White Phoenix of the Crown will all be code heroes.

#4. Iron Fist! Another hero I'm shocked that they've skipped while including American Dream...

Are we voting for villains? If so, I can't believe Baron Zemo and Taskmaster aren't in yet!

Anyway, that was a tangent, but had to come out especially after seeing some fellow Gen-X fans..!

No doubt! Preach it, my brothers & sisters!! Gen X was GREAT!!!... Some of the time(especially in the beginning), and pretty darn good most of the rest, I thought. Cool characters & a neat concept, all very well executed, and depicted with a stylistic flair unique unto itself(initial artist Chris Bachalo, not shown above; the above is from yet another well-known artist, who also just happened to cut his teeth on the Gen X'ers... Terry Dodson). It should be praised alone, for what you think would be near impossible... taking one Jubilation Lee, and making her a more believable, likable, & relatable protagonist. That's right HATERS, over the years, the writers & artists were able to take the lifelong bane of your X-fan existence... Jubilee!... and make her the dynamic, sympathetic, & ultimately complex central focus of an already eXtremely interesting ensemble! She stood her own amongst the likes of Emma Frost/the White Queen, Sean Cassidy/Banshee, Jonothon "Jono" Starsmore/Chamber, Monet St. Croix/M, Paige Guthrie/Husk, & the mysterious, weirdly captivating... "Penny"/Penance(Hollow)! All strong characters, give or take, IMHO. Of course there was also Everett Thomas/Synch, underdeveloped in my mind, but with loads of potential. Unfortunately, he was "killed" WAY before his time, and has yet to be resurrected as far as I know. Then there were, for me, lessers Angelo Espinosa/Skin, Mondo,... and the despicable Gaia, who I consider to be Generation X's... sCrappy-Doo!! She ruined everything!!! What a loathsome creation she was... not one of Gen X's better moments, that's for sure! BUT, if we're serious about getting some of them into the SHSO game, say like Penny for instance... eventually... we NEED to start with & concentrate on:

Priority #1... JUBILEE!!! She's our gateway, our foot in the door, and our job might've just gotten a WHOLE lot easier... with this lil bit of secret info, unearthed by the crafty Baron Zemo & then eXpediently reported on here, by our very own resident Dream:

I'm partial to AoA simply because she's the one we've gotten to know so well, leaving the 616 (and the bad Wolvie hair) much less-desirable, imo. I would have preferred her left out after her sacrifice in Phallanx Covenant, as it was a great one. Thoughts?...

I'm with you, DD, AoA Blink is the preferable choice. But I wouldn't be against an amalgam of sorts, similar to this version of her:

I've been going back and reading the earlier stuff and I like this thread. I like how it focuses on the lesser known denizens of the Marvel Universe. I like how Super Hero Squad Online puts some focus on them in general. As a fan of those characters, I'd like it if this thread were more active. But I hope the OP hasn't given up, that would be a shame, I'd miss the enthusiasm.

I'm also sorry to see that SHSO's now being used as more of a marketing tool for Marvel Entertainment at large, instead of its own thing like before. At its own expense? For me it might be. My interest is waning and has been for a while.
