Spectacular Spider-Man was not a bad show.

As long as Superhero Squad loses a lot of its herky-jerky animation, I'm good.

Cartoon Network was planning on doing something similar with "DC Nation," so this is really something to be expected for Disney XD, IMO.

Disney owns Marvel and Disney XD
Time Warner owns DC and Cartoon Network

*sigh* no mentions of the X-Men yet again.

I know Fox owns the rights to the films and, as such, Marvel isn't making as much money off of those characters as they are the Avengers characters, but DAMN...they've seriously reduced their #1 property for decades to red-headed stepchild status when it comes to anything but comics.

A new twelve-episode X-Men series concluded on G4 last week.

It may be awhile before another new X-Men series can be ready for Disney XD.

true, and I personally enjoyed it very much, but it's kind of a horse of another color. Announcing that they're doing an entire Marvel block on Disney XD for the US, but leaving out the X-Men franchise completely just leaves me somewhat cold given their handling of the franchise the last 6-7 years. They could at least acknowledge they're working on something, but I doubt they are because that's not where the money is for them.

Isn't SHS still tied to Cartoon Network under it's old contract? Can't believe they'd just GIVE it to the Rat...

Cartoon Network no longer has the rights to the show, "The Hub" does. And considering all the money Hasbro gets by owning the Show/Toy Line, I doubt they'll part ways with it.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new X-Men and Fantastic Four series get developed.

the series return of "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes."
Biggest news in the entire article.

Anyone else worried about the April 1 date? Sounds fishy.

Right now I'm pretty sure The Super Hero Squad Show is over.

Ever since Disney brought Marvel I feel that Power Pack could easily become Disney's next hit franchise. Maybe they can get some shorts on the new block.

Like Marvel Showcase: Animated shorts featuring marvel characters

Runaways would even make a nice little teen superhero show.

Near as I can tell, it's two Marvel themed shows with some stuff in between to connect them as a "programming block".

So, it kind of reminds me of Something I used to watch as a kid.

Any chance we'll get to see the classic '60's Marvel cartoons during this block?
