Ah, it's good to see Marvel's Fear Itself The Fearless make the list. Maybe more of my picks will make the list after all. :)

I would have slid a vote for Justice League Dark , but I felt it only had 2-3 issues out and felt it needed more to really being ranked into the top 10 for me.

The only one I have to do a double take at is the latest Batgirl series.

I'm also surprised at the latest Batgirl. I'm also getting the impression that the new 52 will be dominating this list, for better or worse (I'm not sure a best of 2011 list should be dominated by books with only 4 issues in 2011, but then, I voted for several of them myself.).

    How many people actually voted?

I put I, Vampire as my #2 if I recall but I'm still very shocked to see it actually place.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.

A little over 50 posters which is about around 2% of the active/regular posters. While not huge number, I feel it did somewhat represent a good cross section of the CBR Forums community.

We are working on ways to try and get more people to participate if we do the list again.

Ya may wanna start promoting it in December. Like the 1st week of it. Then claim the actual voting period will begin the last week of Dec/1st week of Jan after CBR does its list. The more promoting of it with a sticky or deal at the top of all the forums , the more people will see and vote is my guess once it opens.

Nice to see Morning Glories and Steph-Batgirl doing so respectably. I don't read X-Men, because I don't buy Marvel (no offense to Marvel, I just manage to spend enough money on comics with just DC and independents, I don't need to add to my pool), but I'm a big fan of Mike Carey thanks to the Unwritten, so I'm glad people are enjoying his work.

    39. Xombi (DC)
    Written by John Rozum
    Drawn by Frazer Irving

One of the brainiest comics written. Delightfully weird. And did I mention the gorgeous art. Stranger than Doctor Strange and just as interesting. I dare anyone to read this series and come back and say I am full of hyperbole.

    29. Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Volume 2 (Marvel)

    Written by Brian Bendis
    Drawn by Sara Pichelli

What can be said for taking a concept that reads on paper like a disaster, but it is anything but the stereotypical mess one would imagine. What Bendis and Pichelli have done was akin to knitting Gold from run of the mill yarn.

There is nothing run of the mill about this book.

It's good to see that a couple of Hellboy titles made this list.
    Recent Nature Sightings:
Sept 24: Two Orcas close to shore.
Nov 14: Trumpeter Swans, Bald Eagles catching salmon (and a duck!), Harbour Seals, Steller Sea Lions, Kingfisher.
